Lupita Nyong’o stopped by Good Morning America while hot on the promo trail for her new film The Jungle Book (which hits theaters tomorrow). The actress posed alongside GMA host Robin Roberts as she rocked a gorgeous Blue, Black and White Striped Dolce & Gabbana Pleated Hem Midi Dress.
The Kenyan beauty also donned matching drop earrings and a patent black headband. Royal blue pumps completed her chic look.
Boudoir-inspired designs are nothing new. TLC rocked the colorful, silk pajama look in their iconic “Creep” video, Madonna made lace de rigeur with Like a Virgin, and the late Aaliyah even donned a few of the sultry pieces, including a black slip dress to the 2001 MTV Movie Awards.
While the risqué trend was popular in the 90s, the sexy pieces (that were once reserved for the bedroom) have now made their way into our everyday wardrobe.
We’ve seen how the celebrities slay their versions of this hot look but now it’s time to let you indulge in a little spring shopping, lol.
So, keep on reading for some of the best boudoir-inspired pieces under $100! Trust me, you’ll thank us later.
Even though many of these pieces are lingerie-inspired, you can still uplift this trend in a functional way. Take this sheer kimono for instance – you can go conservative while pairing it with a tank or your can amp up the sex appeal with a black lace bra. Have fun with it!
Runway shows are not going anywhere! A bit of panic fell over the industry with the current rise in the see-now, buy-now movement, but Stacy Bendet is showing brands that it too makes for a great catwalk presentation. She invited a slew of her stylish celebrity friends and brand aficionados out to NeueHouse Los Angeles in Hollywood and showed her latest wares for alice + olivia.
Actress Karen Fukuhara was print perfect in a $245 Amina Off The Shoulder Top and thigh-baring shorts. I can’t wait for the weather to warm up so I can wear looks like this.

While the artist tours with her Anti album, LVMH has announced that their Kendo division has inked a deal with the Bajan princess to help develop her beauty brand. And while it won’t be coming our way this year, the pair have the project on a Fall 2017 release schedule.
We first got wind of a possible Rihanna makeup brand back in 2014 when the singer and growing mogul trademarked a ton of categories for the name Fenty. Amongst those were lingerie, nails, clothing, apparel and makeup. Back then she was still collaborating with other brands like MAC. The lipstick she made with them sold out in three hours and ended with Rih Rih being a face of the brand. She’s also worked with Viva Glam
In what is reported to be as high as a $10 million deal, Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is set to be the third color cosmetic deal for Kendo. Her predecessors? Kat Von D Beauty and Marc Jacobs Beauty according to WWD. “Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience,” David Suliteanu, CEO of Kendo said. “We are aiming for the stars.”
We’re expecting some bold lip products and a ton of beautiful imagery. Are you excited for the launch?
Lately, Kerry Washington’s eclectic, sizzling and vivacious style have captured so many Bombers and Bombshells on the site, it felt absolutely necessary to take a trip down the yellow brick road and show her true style evolution over the years. When Kerry first stepped on the scene, she was still wearing form-hugging silhouettes and color-coordinated frocks, but master tailoring, cut, form and fit left a little to be desired on the beauty.
Although many don’t fully remember Kerry Washington’s original days of ‘Save The Last Dance’ and ‘I Think I Love My Wife’, she has blossomed into a full-out Powerhouse and Businesswoman, garnering media attention for her movie promotions, nail line with OPI, becoming a brand ambassador for Neutrogena, or even keeping all eyes glued to her (and her wardrobe) as the daringly refined, designer-sporting worst nightmare to any politician in DC, Olivia Pope.
Nowadays, Kerry is seen in only the best of the best: Mary Katrantzou, Givenchy, Carrolina Herrera, Dolce & Gabbana, and many more top designer names, pushing her into the realms of a real-life Black Barbie with a varied and enviable closet.
Just as we’ve seen the progression of the conceptualization of Olivia Pope over the past seasons (she’s finally got a little color in her wardrobe!), we’ve seen Kerry Washington delve into and redefine her aesthetic in a remarkable way as she continues to shape her style and inspire fashionistas everywhere!
Fearlessly blending the lines of inter-sectionality between womanhood and being a person of color in her work on and off the set, Washington also uses her voice to vocalize various disparities in the social community, whether it be the excessive photoshopping that takes places in the media to her recent work on re-profiling some very notable names in history, such as Anita Hill.
Quite the opposite from many of the powerful women she plays on TV, Washington’s multifarious style is quite bold in color, refined in cut, and impressive all-around. We know what whenever she steps on the scene, Kerry’s bound to impress!
With her signature mix of classic shaping, elegant styling and fashion-forwardness, Kerry Washington is seriously the lady of the hour with a transformative style evolution to match!
What do you think of Kerry Washington’s style evolution over the years?
Take a look back at Kerry’s first Elle Cover (back in 2013!):
The model/actress revealed that she has joined forces with a brand, known as TIALS, to create a very limited streetwear influenced capsule collection. With the introduction of this dynamic collaboration, the overall goal is to combine fashion and function with iconic styles ideal for braving desert heat and harsh festival conditions.
The collaboration will include six must-have items. With pieces that can easily go from day to night (or poolside to the Sahara Tent), the designs are both provocative and practical, and perfectly combine TIALS’s and Tran’s shared elevated sexy tomboy aesthetic.
When disclosing the inspiration behind her new line, Karrueche disclosed, “I love Coachella, and going to music festivals in general, so I wanted a festival collection that reflected streetwear and urban elements to show that Coachella isn’t just flower crowns and boho style”.
