We’re back with another installment of our Look of the Week feature and we’ve got some pretty dope contenders. From tantalizing television personalities to fashion’s favorite it-girls, this week’s line-up is a doozy, lol.

Let’s get to it now!

1) Ciara in Juan Carlo Obando

A few days ago, the newly-engaged Ciara made an appearance on Good Morning America while rocking a Spring 2016 Juan Carlos Obando cream wide-leg jumpsuit and a matching cape. The singer’s elegant look also showcases a plunging neckline, a relaxed fit and frill detail at the waistline. CiCi also announced that she will be co-hosting the 2016 Billboard Music Awards alongside Ludacris. Yaaasss! Werk it!

2) Kendall Jenner in Kristian Aadnevik and DSquared2

Kendall Jenner is on fire! The stunning model graced the red carpet for the 2016 MTV Movie Awards as she effortlessly slayed in a goth-inspired asymmetric number by Kristian Aadnevik. Her sultry dress includes lace-up detailing, a halter neck top and a scallop-trim bodice. But, if you ask me, it was her thigh-high DSquared2 sandals that took this look from 0 to 100 real quick! And, I’m here fore every moment!

3) Bonang Matheba in Taibo Bacar

Award-winning television personality Bonang Matheba posed for the ‘Gram while attending the 1st Annual Oliver Awards. The style maven uplifted a custom gown by Taibo Bacar which boasts dramatic gold embellishment, a semi-sheer bodice and long sleeves. Laawwddd, this young woman is quickly becoming one of my favorite fashionistas of 2016. She’s flawless!

4) Zendaya in Chanel

One of Marie Claire’s Fresh Faced it-girls Zendaya Coleman was on hand for the celebration of the magazine’s May 2016 issue and she looked every bit of spring-time ready. The budding fashionista kept it cool and refreshing while donning a soft yellow bralet and jacket by Chanel, white jeans and white pointed pumps. With flawless abs and the sleek ponytail to match, this chick is perfection personified.

5) Cara Delevingne in Balmain

Black was definitely the color of the evening for the 2016 MTV Movie Awards! I guess it’s just THE go-to color, right? Model Cara Delevingne embraced her inner bombshell as she flaunted her enviable bod in a velvet Balmain catsuit, classic black pumps and gorgeous make-up. Hot!

6) Kerry Washington in Three Floor

Actress Kerry Washington is hot on the promo trail for her new film Confirmation and she showing no signs of slowing down! At a recent Deadline Conversation event, the beautiful leading lady slipped into a Three Floor Vice Versa Luxedo Color Black Dress and strappy ankle strap sandals. The chic ‘fit also incorporates an underlying sheer lace bodice and a clean silhouette. Go girl!

Last week, I was delighted to be invited out to Palm Desert for Fashion Week El Paseo.

Haven’t heard of Fashion Week El Paseo? It’s the West Coast’s largest consumer show, meaning you can purchase most looks straight from the runway. I came to see what Palm Desert had on tap and to see if there were any dope designers you’d need to know about. I wasn’t disappointed!
I had a great time discovering a few new brands, and relishing in a few favorites.

BB One (www.bboneapparel.com):

Palm Desert Mainstay BB One has been in business for 26 years, and specializes in hip, sophisticated, yet functional pieces for the casual woman with kick. I appreciated their jumpsuits, shirt dresses, and lace up tops, which were perfectly pegged for easy summer days or evenings sailing on a yacht.

Kini Zamora (www.kinizamora.com):

Hawaii native Kini Zamora made waves on Project Runway, and titillated the crowd at Fashion Week El Paseo with his Mondrian inspired colorblocked tops and fantastically ruffled high low skirts. His collection skewed playful, vibrant, and fun, offering details like fringe, bold hues, and high slits.

I was also excited to see some more familiar designers on the catwalk, including Project Runway alum and Atlanta native Mychael Knight (www.mychaelknight.com):

His latest collection bubbled over with breezy cocktails, bomber jackets, and mini skirts. I found more than a few items to add to my wish list!

Lastly, Palm Desert’s very own Michael Costello (ShopCostello.com)also unleashed unmitigated glamour via sinewy gowns and sensual jumpsuits.

He keeps killing ’em!
Aside from the shows, Palm Desert is absolutely beautiful. The weather is piping hot, and the palm trees and mountains were truly transportive.

Spring is here which means festival season is upon us. From South by Southwest in Austin to Coachella in Palm Springs, I’ve curated a few boho chic inspired looks to get you geared up for your favorite music festivals this season.

Add a little edge with an embroidered tassel-tie top mixed with a faux leather biker mini skirt.

Finish the look with a wide brim hat, mini fringe shoulder bag, a black suedette choker, and cutout ankle booties.

Toughen up a floral print cold-shoulder cami with a pair of distressed denim cutoffs.

Give the look a Southwest feel with a ‘Toro’ printed leather clutch, fringe wedge heels, and a gold and turquoise cuff bracelet.

Dress in all black and slip into a pair of fringed shorts with a crochet knit crop top offset by a hidden wedge fringed bootie.

Complete the look with a pendant-embellished sun hat, mirrored aviators, and silver jewelry.

Opt for an off-the-shoulder romper paired with a bandeau-top bikini, and suede lace-up sandals.

Zendaya paired the accessory with a Shahista Lalani camo biker jacket and brown lace-up platform boots, while Rih chose a Vetements Shearling Coat and $745 Manolo Blahnik Chaos Sandals.

The cap features white contrast ‘I Came to Break Hearts’ text on the front and a broken heart on the back.
