Last night, Swarovski celebrated the launch of their #BeBrilliant campaign with a slew of fashion faves including their newly-proclaimed brand ambassador Karlie Kloss! The event was every bit of stylish and elegant as the stars slayed in some of the hottest designs.
Let’s see who was in attendance!
Swarovski’s new brand ambassador Karlie Kloss was on hand in a Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2016 dress with a cutout waistline. She posed alongside actress Hailee Steinfeld who also looked stunning in a Monse Fall 2016 striped dress.
Whitney Port went back to black in an Anthony Vaccarello Fall 2015 design that features an asymmetric hem, a side cutout and buckle detailing. Hot!
The gorgeous Chanel Iman flashed a flirty grin while giving life in a flawless cream gown by Versace. She gets it right every time!
It-girl Vashtie Kola went for a simple look as she donned a flowy LBD, eye-catching pumps and a matching clutch. The fashionista completed her ‘fit with delicate gold jewelry and soft curls.
Winnie Harlow shut it down in a black, off-the-shoulder number by Laquan Smith. The sexy dress boasts a towering side slit and a fitted waist. She bettaaa werk!
Giovanna Ewbank served up sultry vibes in a bomb jumpsuit that feature a satin bodice and a serious plunging neckline. I also looovvee her take on the choker trend!
If you haven’t seen Love & Friendship yet, do so this weekend! Kate Beckinsale is the star of the film and took to its UK Premiere in a Mugler Fall 2016 Ring Halter Cutout Slit Gown:
Her dress was shown in jumpsuit form on the brand’s Fall 2016 runway, in a black and white colorway.
Another day, another Rihanna collaboration. This time the singer, after having debuted a seemingly more mature set of pipes at Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards, is looking to eyewear.
Come this June, Rih Rih will drop an eyewear collaboration with the French brand Dior. Due in part, no doubt, to her stint as a face of the brand and unwavering support, the pair of futuristic iridescent Star Trek-inspired frames will come available in six variations reportedly. Each will be priced at $840 with a deluxe 24-karat gold-plated version available for $1,950.
The news is huge considering that the move will make Rihanna the first of any Dior ambassador to collaborate with the brand in this way. While other current ambassadors include Jennifer Lawrence and Charlize Theron, the team chose Rihanna when it came to their first celebrity designed piece. Ms. Fenty is also the first black Dior ambassador.
It’s a sizable get for both parties. Dior is currently hashing out details for their next creative director, with Raf Simons having left late last year. The partnership will inject a bit of life into the brand during an uncertain time. For Rihanna, who teased the project back in Vogue‘s March cover story, the collaboration further cements her as a name of influence in the fashion industry.
Couple this with her beauty brand (also fruit of a deal with LVMH, of which Dior is a part), ongoing partnerships with Puma and Stance Socks as well as her recent team up with Manolo Blahnik and the Bajan princess is hitting the industry from every angle.
H&M never fails when it come to designer collaborations!
After landing successful projects with fashion heavyweights such as Balmain, Alexander Wang and Isabael Marant, the brand has finally released confirmation about their upcoming collaboration with Kenzo – which is set to hit stores worldwide on November 3, 2016.
Kenzo is a French luxury fashion house that was founded in 1970 by Japanese designer Kenzo Takada. The platform of Kenzo is set upon the ideal of shaking up the world of fashion while stepping outside the standard expectations of seasonal trends.
With a massive following and a clear vision, celebrities simply can’t get enough! Solange, Zendaya, Jessica Alba, Rihanna, Selena Gomez and even FLOTUS Michelle Obama are all loyal supporters.
Sidenote: Remember their signature tiger-embroidered sweatshirt that was EVERYWHERE a few years ago?!
In an interview with Kenzo’s creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon (who also launched Opening Ceremony in 2002), H&M inquired about the emotions connected to landing such a monstrous opportunity, as well as the overall goal of this iconic collaboration:
WHEN H&M CAME TO YOU WITH THIS IDEA, HOW DID YOU REACT? Carol Lim: ”We were really excited. Obviously, we’re the latest in a line of a lot of incredible people. We were like, ‘We’re in great company!’”
WERE YOU NERVOUS? Humberto Leon: ”No. We trust ourselves. And we trust each other. You know, I say, “What about this?” And Carol is like, ‘Well, what if we did it this way?’ It’s us, feeding off of each other.”
Carol Lim: ”I can really say we don’t get nervous anymore. We get excited—to start thinking, to start planning, to start asking ourselves, ‘Okay, so what do we want to talk about this time?’ What it comes down to is figuring out, okay, what message do we want to send with this collection?”
AND WHAT DID YOU DECIDE? Humberto Leon: ”We wanted to really tell the story of the brand and of us. Together with H&M, we will invite all the customers and fans to the real Kenzo world.
I’m really excited about this one! After surviving Balmain hysteria (and not purchasing a SINGLE piece), I think the decision to collaborate with Kenzo was beyond brilliant. Can’t wait to see what they have in store.
Her black jumpsuit features a mock neckline, long sheer sleeves, a guipure lace bodice, side slip pockets, banded waist, relaxed tapered legs, and an ankle length.
