There’s no doubt that Prince had a huge impact on fashion. He was meticulous about his image, but whenever he was snapped throughout his almost forty year-long career, he was wearing something incredibly stylish and unique. Has any artist ever owned an entire color the way he has? Or made custom-designs as cool?
Well, if you’ve ever dreamed of owning something from Prince’s extensive and magical wardrobe, then here’s your chance. Select items that he’s worn and owned will go up for auction next month through Profiles in History. The motorcycle jacket he sported in Purple Rain, a pair of over-the-knee boots from his Love Sexy Tour, a white ruffled shirt from his Purple Rain tour, the pearl necklace from his Diamonds and Pearls video, and his Graffiti and Bridge cufflinks are all up for grabs. This is iconic stuff people!
The boots’ starting bid will begin at no less than $10K, but can undoubtedly go for much more than that. Consignment curator Raymond Janis spoke to Accessories Magazine about the specialness of the event: “It’s very rare to have Prince items come to auction. He was always very private and guarded of his image, and these are items that are coming to the forefront from charities or through people who were close to him. It’s very exciting.”
If you’ve never heard of Profiles in History before, they’re the leading dealer in authentic documents, historical autographs, letters, manuscripts, and vintage signed photographs. The company’s auctions have reached record-setting prices and they are also the largest auctioneer of original Hollywood memorabilia on the globe. The auction for Prince’s items will take place on July 1st.
Looking to place a bid? There are four ways: live at the auction house in Calabasas, California (we wonder if the Kardashians will make a bid), by phone, absentee bidding, and online through Invaluable.com which will also broadcast live video feed during the event.

Bad gal Riri was spotted out and about last night in New York green with envy! For the night, she slipped on a $3,500 Gucci V-neck green lace dress and $1,990 Gucci ‘Finnlay’ lace-up booties alongside her Christian Dior ‘Diorever’ silver tote bag:
Her dress was the opening opening for Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection, and features a midi-length silhouette with ruffled trims and striped Web waist banding. 
Accenting the dress, her ‘Finnlay’ boots are green, white and black, and feature Gucci’s signature stripes, fixed laces, a side zip closure and a gold bow at the front.
Her Christian Dior ‘Diorever’ Summer 16 tote is made of crinkled silver lambskin, has a reversible flap, white top handles and a detachable shoulder strap.

Last week, I was graciously invited to view Italia Independent’s Ghostbusters Collection, curated by rap legend Nas. Of course, Nas Esco was in the building, along with Power’s Omari Hardwick, Malik Yoba, and more.
To commemorate Ghostbusters highly anticipated release, Italia Independent and Nas curated a special capsule of eight models of sunglasses inspired by the film’s notable characters. The limited-edition ItaliaIndependent x Ghostbusters collection includes iconic and oversize frames, as well as classic shapes with movie-inspired digital printed patterns.
The cute collection will be sold at Italia Independent boutiques, on the brand’s e-commerce platform italiaindependent.com, at the online store hypebeast.com and at select retail partners including Ron Herman in Los Angeles and Colette in Paris.
It was a fun event, and I was juiced to see Nas. I’m a fan!
For the occasion, I decided to sparkled in a sequined skirt and jacket by one of my favorite designers, Shades of Shea.
