Hey Hey!
We are in the thick of New York Fashion Week and it has been a fun and exhilarating time! In between running to shows for Vogue.it and snapping street style, I’ve been taking pix of my day-to-day looks with Lydia Hudgens.
I’ve been unwittingly sporting a handful of Fall 2013 trends, and sidled up to autumn’s plaid predilection the other day in a Dries van Noten blazer.

The jacket made enough of a style statement, so I played the rest down with neutrals, specifically NYDJ jeans and Christian Louboutin pumps.

A pair of Grey Ant status shades, and I was good to go.

What do you think?

And how do you wear plaid? Send your pix to th************@gm***.com for inclusion in our first How Do You Wear It? feature of the fall.

  1. Hmmm…
    maybe:
    – Wide leg trousers, blazer open, crop top, or
    – Leather skirt, or
    – Leather shorts

    something along those lines..

    Ur makeup is beautiful!

  2. Noooo, the jacket. Maybe single breasted? But the face is beat! Whenever I try to smoke out my eyes like that I look a domestic abuse victim :/

  3. Oh is ‘beat’ the latest fad term to be used and abused on the internet.

Anyways…I love the makeup hate the outfit. Well hate’s a strong word but I’m underwhelmed by it.

  4. Face is pretty. make up is right. however i dont like those jeans with that jacket. Im with “Snailz” on this- A wide leg pant and maybe a different type of blouse underneath the jacket..have you looking straight like a boss…those shades tho are a perfect 10.

  5. this outfit is terrible…terrible terrible…the fit of the jacket with the pants is not a good look. but the makeup is great

  6. YOU LOOK RIDICULOUS!! YOU ARE TOO BIG FOR PLAID, SORRY THIS DOESN’T WORK AT ALL. TRY AGAIN ….

  7. Looks like a comfortable ensemble, perfect for NYC’s bipolar weather and dashing between shows.

  8. everything is point except for the “ladies hanging out” takes away from the amazing hair make up and outfit

  9. I love your look, Claire. The plaid jacket gives you a crisp, clean and chic look. Hope you’re enjoying all the shows.

  10. the jacket is really cute, with a peep of cleave no less… but something is off.
I wont be mean like some of the others…. smh !

  11. Love the hair and make up…not the jacket. I’m busty and never wear double breasted jackets (or button blazers up because they never look right on busty girls)…I would suggest staying simple on top always- it always looks neater and more pulled together…

  12. your dope
    i love this
the first and the last photos are my fave

I love the tartan print jacket along with the dark plum lipstick

    pretty:)

  13. I agree that jacket is not flattering on you makes you look much bigger than you are. Toss it. I’ve seen you do 1000x better.
