Gray is the new black!
Or at least that’s what I declared yesterday for a day full of meetings.
I can admit that I’m inspired by the celeb looks we blog about! I actually liked the McQ by Alexander McQueen dress Trina wore to 106 & Park, but decided I’d go for it in gray.
My winter uniform will consist of sweater dresses and thigh high boots, so I slipped on my new Gianvito Rossi suede stunners (story here) and completed the gray theme with my old faithful Stella McCartney Falabella bag.
See the dress in motion here:
What do you think?
*I ended up randomly running into a fun sample sale at Showroom Seven, and nabbing this pink coat for 50% off!
The sale is going on all this month. They carry brands like Issa, LAMB, Erickson Beamon, Manish Arora, and more. Read about it on Racked.com. It’s definitely worth checking out. xo

So chic! Wish I could pull that off here but it’s way to cold! It’s already -13 smh. Anyway you look totally fab Claire (as usual)
You BETTER WORK THAT WORK THAT!! DAMN SOMEBODY ELSE WORE THAT DRESS AND IT DIDN’T LOOK LIKE THIS. IT WAS SO WHACK I CAN’T EVEN REMEMBER WHO I SAW WEARING THIS DRESS. MS CLAIRE G-DAMN YOU ARE MY HERO. I LOVE TO SEEE GROWTH IN FASHION. HATS OFF…
Snaps and all THATTTTTTTTT! Yus!
This is itttt! Bonus snaps for gray—my fave neutral!
You look great Claire. I have one small complaint, from one big breast sister to another. When was the last time you’ve been sized for a bra. It looks like tou may need a little more support.
I didn’t like the look…..until you threw the pink coat on.
gotta give you credit…. you look good chile.
slay claire!!!!
Nice!
loved the way you accessorized it! great choice! looking good claire!
This doesn’t look good at all. One day you’ll get it right!
Yea I’m sorry Claire but I don’t think you pulled this off. The dress makes you look shapeless and frumpy and we know you have a shape underneath it. Love you boo!
Slayed! And that pink coat put the nail in my coffin! Yesss
@…
It’s been a minute since I’ve been sized for a bra, but am about to get a whole slew of new undergarments soon!
Shapeless, frumpy…sigh, maybe one day I’ll get it right (tear)!
xoxo Love you all.
I so love it…. You look simply fabulous!
Claire, been with you since the beginning…also a big breasted sista. I just know that V-necks/scoop necks look best on me/us. The neckline makes all the difference in the world to looking proportioned and “full”…I understand you love the dress it’s pretty but…*smile*..no shade :)
Claire, you know what would be an interesting exercise? How about having an “experienced-seasoned” stylist critique some of your favorite outfits posted on this site? Then, post her honest answers. This would help you/others understand what we see when we give you constructive criticism. It seems like you are enamored with the article of clothing/designer rather than the actual “fit”… *shrugs-shoulders*
@Debbie Believe it or not, I know what works for women with big boobs. I post several outfits here, and sometimes I want to do more than wear, say, a v neck wrap dress, or a scoop neck (especially in the winter!)

I’m a fashion blogger. I like variety. I mix it up. It’s fun, it’s the spice of life. Some will like it, some won’t.
And that’s really ok.
All I know is when I hit the street, I feel great, and you’d be surprised, many, even some ‘seasoned stylists’ think I look great also.

God bless you!
I went hmmmmmmm until you added the coat. The coat saved the outfit
No disrespect but that outfit would have look much better if you were 30 to 40 pounds lighter…..but you worked it…
That kim k inspired beige coat is DONE.. we will not move into 2015 with this hideous beige bath robe disgrace of a coat.
I love it, Claire. Loved it on Trina. Love it on you. Boots and a bit of winter glossed skin for the win.
I think your style is fabulous; however, I agree that the dress does not fit you just so…..the shoulders should be altered so they meet your shoulder. I think that would make this dress divine for you.
Claire,
You look great! I love the gray suede boots! Keep rocking it for the “well endowed” girls.
