As a young woman who has Ghanaian blood running through her veins, I’m always in awe of the beauty of wax prints. I’ve done my fair share of highlighting up-and-coming African brands but SHE By Bena is on a completely different level!
SHE By Bena’s Eclipse Collection was brought to my attention by the brand’s Creative Director, Sheelah Garbrah. The talented designer simply emailed a few select photos to my inbox and left a straightforward four-sentence message that left me absolutely captivated. I was itching to learn more.
The Ghanaian brand’s Eclipse Collection is ideal for the woman on-the-go who isn’t afraid of making a statement. With distinctive black, red and white prints, dramatic silhouettes and continuous striking peplum detailing, SHE By Bena combines an eccentric African aesthetic with polished modern tailoring. The versatility of the pieces are even better! I mean, you can rock your custom pencil dress to your local church service and then turn around and slay as you head to brunch with your significant other. It can’t get much better than that!
The overall appeal behind SHE By Bena’s Eclipse Collection stems from the subtle sophistication of their products. Well, we’ve got a style face-off (and it’s Gucci, nonetheless)! 2 Chainz attended the BET Awards in the same $4,950 Gucci Pre-Fall 2016 Embroidered Shearling Denim Jacket originally seen on Bad gal Rihanna when she hit up Giorgio Baldi:
2 Chainz (aka the King of the Trap) wore his jacket over a Gucci polo and paired it with white pants and the new Yeezy boots. Interesting look!
