A lot of us have hashtagged #BlackLivesMatter to show our solidarity with the movement, and also express our anger and frustration at the untimely and unfortunate deaths of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, and more.
But in addition to uploading a picture or statement on social media, what can we do?
There is a Go Fund Me account raising money for Philando Castile’s family, including his girlfriend and her daughter. They have already exceeded the $100,000 goal, but there’s always more to give. Contribute here.
With all the endless turmoil unfolding within the world, it’s been tough carrying on with daily activities and “pretending” to be okay. But, I always manage to find some peace and solace within my writing. I’m blessed to be able to express myself in such a way and it’s an honor to share my talent with such an amazing audience.

Huge congratulations are in order to Ciara and Russell Wilson! The two lovebirds officially tied the knot on Wednesday in an intimate ceremony held at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire, England. For the portentous occasion, the songstress donned a stunning Cavalli Couture White Silk Tulle Chantilly Lace Applique Bridal Gown and romantic blonde curls. CiCi’s jaw-dropping dress also boasts floral embroidery, glass beading and sheer fluted sleeves. So gorg!
Laura Govan is no stranger to our Look of the Week feature! The Instagram fave garnered almost over 6,000 likes with her multicolored frock that included a yellow Helmut Lang blazer, an Alexander Wang leather bralet, high-waisted Kyna Collection trousers and patent leather Chrsitian Louboutin pumps. I loved everything about this! The bold palette, the polished fit, the amazing hair…. gosh! I have to admit, Laura is another one of those style mavens that can make almost anything look good.

The singer also rocked finger waves, an eclectic purple lip and minimal accessories.
Fashion icon and self-proclaimed Bad Gal Rihanna scoured London streets (alongside rumored beau Drake) while rocking a Balmain Resort 2017 Light Wash Long Denim Coat, a Knitted Fringed Blue Dress and a colorblock belt from the brand. But, RiRi’s high fashion ensemble didn’t stop there! She also slipped into a pair of lace-up DSquared2 powder blue sandals and even carried a metallic version of Dior‘s most coveted ‘Diorama’ handbag. Flawless!

Hello beauty lovers! We’re introducing a new feature highlighting celebrity makeup looks and a step by step rundown on how you can recreate the look.
Last week Blac Chyna attended her future sister in law’s birthday party wearing a light, glamorous look. She opted for a subtle beat by rocking nude lips, a bangin’ contour, black eyeliner and white eye shadow.
Take a seat at your beauty station and find out how you can achieve Blac Chyna’s contour and nude lip look, courtesy of Lacey Watson.
To highlight, apply the Nars Concealer (I used the caramel shade) with a beauty blender. Highlighting does exactly that; it emphasizes areas of your face that captures the natural light. Apply the concealer under your eyes, your forehead, the bridge of your nose and depending on your face shape, you can highlight your jawline.
To contour, utilize the Anastasia Contour Powder Palette (Tan to Deep) with the #59 Sephora Collection Brush. Contouring defines the shape of the face. Each contour will be different because each face shape is different. Generally apply the contour powder from your temples to the hollows of your cheeks.
Brows:
For long wear and consistency, use the Benefit ka-Brow! Cream-Gel Eyebrow Color (I used shade 5) to fill in your brows and apply Nars Concealer to highlight the brow bone and lid.
Using Kat Von D’s Shade and Light Eye Palette, blend the color Latinus, Lucius and Makeup Forever 738 on the crease of your eyes to create a soft, warm tone.
After blending apply the Sytry (a shade in the Kat Von D Palette) with the Sephora Brush #15 on the outer crease of your eyelid and blend upward slightly into crease colors.

Chic and sassy, Audra the Rapper’s style would be best described as sexy tomboy.
You’ll typically find the D.C. native in sneakers, though with her own twist, whether she’s wearing jeans, a varsity jacket, or a mesh bodycon with her signature bandana.

Italian blogger Alessandra Airo recently rocked Fendi‘s Spring 2016 Semi-Sheer Printed Chiffon Mini Dress for Fendi Roma’s 90th Anniversary celebration. She also wore sizzling red pumps and a floral embellished clutch. But, our girl LaLa Anthony also uplifted the same piece at the 2016 CFDA Awards while adding black ankle strap sandals, a sleek ponytail and a gold belt.
The runway version was paired with a blue snakeskin tote and Fendi velvet lace up mules.
Isabelle Fuhrman made a striking fashion statement as she attended AOL’s Build Speaker Series in New York for her upcoming film Dear Eleanor while rocking an eccentric Christian Siriano Resort 2016 Hot Pink and White Textured Ruffle Sleeve Cocktail Dress and pointed patent leather pumps.
The playful pick uplifts dramatic ruffle sleeves, a textured dual-tone printed palette and a clean silhouette. While Isabelle chose the safe route by donning understated footwear, the model’s (as seen below) zig-zag patterned cap-toe pumps served up more as a more unexpected selection.
