Even though the weather has been scorching hot, celebrities in cooler climates have been loving their duster coats. We don’t blame them!
What exactly is a duster coat, you may ask? While definitions range from person to person, I like to think of it as that quick layering piece you add over an ensemble, if anything more than just to keep you warm on a slightly cool day.
The hottest stars, from Rihanna, Miranda Kerr, and certainly the Kardashians have sported the trend. And why not? A duster coat is just light enough for a cool, windy day, but easy enough that the beating summer sun won’t break you out into a sweat!
I think the refreshing thing about duster coats is that you will see them from high fashion (Balmain, for instance) to more accessible brands that give you that luxury look at a fraction of the price (House of CB). Silk, wool, sheer, you name it, a duster coat is always the finishing touch!
At first, I wasnt necessarily on board for the trend. However, the more you see how people can make a statement off one article of clothing, it compels you to give it a try! Time after time, celebrities have stepped out for all types of events, sporting colorblock, trendy, and even monochromatic looks with their duster.
Nonetheless, I am on board with this trend and I think it’s versatile for all body types and weather climates! What do you think?

New York was lit at last night’s Vh1 Hip Hop Honors Awards, celebrating rap and hip hop legends Queen Latifah, Lil Kim, Missy Elliott, Salt N Pepa, and more!
Lots of Fashion Bomb favorites peppered the pink carpet. Take a look:
Kelly Rowland just keeps getting better, doesn’t she? The mom looked stunning in a black Elie Youssef dress, Stuart Weitzman shoes, and a Giuseppe Zanotti clutch. Stylists Ty Hunter and Raquel Smith did that! Hot!

Last night I was commissioned to create social media content for the VH1’s Hip Hop Honors Show! After fulfilling my duties, I was to attend a live taping of the show.
When I arrived, I found out that my tickets were general admission, which meant I might have had to stand…and my feet were not about that life, so I went home. But…for the event, I wore a suede lace up mini dress from Intermix, Giuseppe Zanotti Harmony sandals, and a Saint Laurent bag.
