Teyonah Parris continues to slay every red carpet she encounters! She attended the premiere of her show Survivors Remorse wearing a $480 Solace London Singer Dress in the nude print:
The abstract monochrome printed midi dress is belted at the waist to flatter the figure and is constructed from chiffon and crepe with irregular box pleats and over sized sleeves.
Teyonah wore her box braids to the side with white flowers strategically placed in her hair. Gorgeous!
Kristen Stewart looked soft yet edgy as she attended the Cafe Society Premiere in a Chanel Fall 2016 White Ruffle Dress:
The white long sleeve dress features a bell sleeve that stops at the elbow, reattaching to a brown leather sleeve via an intertwined lace-up detail. The mid-section of the dress is lined with brown leather trim that also intertwines with a lace-up detail. The skirt portion of the dress has the classic Chanel logo with 3 row of light ruffles.
Kristen always stays true to her edgy style by keeping her choppy hair cut as is and rocking minimal makeup.
I’m not a huge fan of this look but I think it works for Kristen. Judging from the runway model, this dress is meant to be a fusion between leather and frills.

The 2016 ESPYs are going down now! Our favorite style mavens and fashionable athletes are in attendance, naturally.
Let’s see who took to the red carpet, shall we?
Teyonah Parris certainly made more than a few women green with envy in a Juan Carlos Obando gown in the shade. She’s beyond stunning.
Ayesha Curry served romance in a berry-hued lace number, while Steph Curry chose a blue velvet sport coat. They’re a gorgeous couple!
Gabrielle Union tried on the sheer gown trend in a black glossy lace August Getty gown, alongside hubby Dwyane Wade. Their style is impeccable.
Newlyweds Ciara and Russell Wilson were easily one of the night’s best dressed couples, with CiCi in a sequin bodice Roberto Cavalli gown with a plunging neckline and cutout detailing. Hot!
Olivia Munn isn’t engaged, but she skewed quite bridal in a white gown with gold grommet detailing. She’s always stunning.
Cutouts were on the agenda for Gina Rodriguez in a sultry black Safiyaa stunner.
Lindsey Vonn brought the drama in a black cape Michael Costello jumpsuit with sequin trousers. I loved this!
Lakers player Jordan Clarkson repped for the fellas in a black and white pinstripe suit. He’s a cutie!
Carolina Panthers guard Trai Turner went bold in a teal suit and snakeskin loafers. Not for the faint of heart, but this was great.
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman offset his black trousers with a cobalt sport coat.
Lisa Leslie upped the glamour quotient in a peplum-detailed mermaid gown. Great to see her on the red carpet!
Odell Beckham Jr. was rocker chic in a white biker jacket and destroyed, bandanna-accented skinnies. I like his style, but this was way too casual for the evening.
JR Smith cleaned up quite nicely in an expertly-tailored tux. Hot!
Contrast white trim added some flair to Kyrie Irving’s black suit. So handsome.
Skylar Diggins’s peach jumpsuit had a white lace, floor-grazing overlay. Quite nice, no?
Lolo Jones was virtually unrecognizable in a navy gown with illusion side panels and a thigh-high slit. She’s never looked better!
Who had your favorite look of the evening? Stay tuned as we update with all of the night’s looks!
As we watched the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors a few days ago, it was evident now as it was back then that Salt-N-Pepa are fierce, fabulous, and fashionable. At a time when the revolution of hip-hop was dominated by males, Salt ‘n’ Pepa rocked on the scene with a cool, sexy and direct approach to hip-hop. Not only were these women carefree black girls (way before it became a term or hashtag), but they sought to be unapologetically them from their lyrics, to their cultural expression.
In a 1995 interview with Interview Magazine, Salt said “we’re so daring and we don’t follow anybody’s agenda. We have our own agenda. That’s part of the reason we’ve been so successful.” The ostentatious, bold, and downright fresh style of these three ladies is just as prominent now with the resurgence of the 90s trend as it was back in the days of their music videos and media coverage.
Back in April, the ladies kicked off the 29-city I Love the ’90s tour, which included fellow rappers from the era like Coolio, Vanilla Ice, Biz Markie, and Kid ’n Play. Their influential outerwear of the 80s and 90s became not only precursors to today’s fashion, but also influential trademarks of the culture and essence of hip-hop as it was just forming.
We saw the coveted 80s trend manifested through distressed, ripped denim jeans and patched jackets for the video “Shake Your Thang,” the leather looks with the metal Venus emblem adornments in “Expression,” and plenty of the group’s T-shirt designs paired with their dance moves in hits like “Push It”.
As we continue to see movements such as female empowerment, #MyBlackisBeautiful notions and a return to the 90s aesthetic in fashion brands and houses, we are forever reminded that these ladies set the bar way ahead of their time!
What influence did Salt n’ Pepa’s style have on you and your fashion sense? What’s your favorite song of theirs?
My favorite song, which still gets blasted quite often, is “Push It”, so check out their funky dance moves (and their true fashion sense) below:
Kim Kardashian was spotted out in Malibu grabbing lunch with Jonathen Cheban while decked out in a Roberto Cavalli Spring 2016 acid-wash denim jacket and skirt:
The jacket, which was originally seen down the runway, features an acid-wash look, with double tie strings that go along both sides. Her skirt, which was not spotted on the runway, features the same lace-up detailing on the back.I have to admit, I’m always a fan when Kim steps out of bodycon mode. This look is pretty cool to me, plus who doesn’t love the denim on denim look? What do you think?
Her black neoprene dress features an allover white polka dot print, off-the-shoulder silhouette, sweetheart neckline, internally boned forset, adjustable self-fastening arm straps, and twisted draped top front detailing.
She has great style! Heidi’s Roland Mouret number was also pretty stunning.
If you’re up for the splurge, there’s one more size of Nina’s frock here.
