Happy Monday, Bombers and Bombshells!
I just returned from a quick trip to the Windy City for Cocktails with Claire x Miss Diddy Chicago, Sponsored by Toyota! And what can I say? It was bomb!
The day kicked off with a ‘Breaking Into…” discussion featuring Miss Diddy and I, along with Chicago based all stars Bobby Simmons (owners of D Lux Gallery), Kendra G (radio personality), and Ashunta Sheriff (celebrity makeup artist). We each shared our stories, and offered our thoughts on networking, triumphing against adversity, staying persistent, and looking at some failures as blessings in disguise.
After our panel, DJ MJ took it away! Of course you guys showed up and showed out!
How adorable are these ladies from @SuckmyFashion? They looked cute in strappy heels and statement necklaces.
Evan Styles posed boldly by a Toyota Camry in a blue blazer, printed shirt, and patterned pants.
A printed floral jumpsuit was on the menu for this fashionista.
Outside by the Step and Repeat, Bombshell Chanecia posed with her stylish friend.
This Empire stylist sidled up to pink and green.
Promoter and socialite Brooke Mackie is so gorgeous! She rocked a crop top and a patterned skirt.
Distressed shorts, a Bomber jacket, and Yeezy sandals made for the perfect daytime look.
J. Enovy from Chicago’s Tall District rocked a poppin Afro and a lavendar dress. Chic!
Miss Diddy and I posed with Black Ink Crew Chicago cast mates Charmaine Johnise (she’s a fan of FBD!). She rocked a white dress from Akira.
Anthony aka @FashionAnthony received one of our Toyota Bold Awards for his printed separates.
A portion of the proceeds of the evening went to Cure Violence! National Community Coordinator Marcus McAllister came to represent the Cure Violence team and offer a few remarks.
Back inside, I posed with Johnson Publishing Company’s Linda Johnson Rice, who looked lovely in Versace.
After taking photos, Toyota representative Alva Adams Mason addressed the crowd:
And then we gave out our Toyota Bold Awards to two of the best dressed in the building: Anthony and Jacqueline.
It was a fun time for a great cause! And thank you to everyone for coming!

Cara Delevingne was spotted in New York City sporting the same Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2016 Black and White Mesh Detail Long Sleeve Printed Shirt and Floral Motif Shorts that Jada Pinkett Smith wore last month:
Cara paired the ensemble with black thigh high boots while Jada chose a pair of sleek open-toe sandals.
The patterned shirt features a statement mesh detail along the front and sleeves while the shorts boast a textural floral motif.
The Teen Choice Awards are going down in Inglewood tonight! With Victoria Justice and John Cena as the host and Kobe Bryant presenting Justin Timberlake with The Decade Award, it’s going to be a great night.
