Rihanna was suited up while out and about in Berlin, clad in a Vetements Spring 2016 Neon Green Blazer, Miniskirt, and Alexander Wang Fall 2016 Black Girls Sheer Hosiery:
Her suit was shown with layered necklaces, a black bodysuit-inspired top, and the brand’s black logo booties on the Fall 2016 runway.
Her tights were shown several times in the autumnal collection.
Our girl KeKe Palmer was an absolute vision as she attended the Glamour x Facebook Women in Technology Dinner in San Francisco while uplifting a sultry Alix NYC‘s ‘Cornelia’ Ivory Silk Halter Bodysuit and ‘Shore Club’ Side Slit Pants from the brand. The actress/singer accented her chic look with a short ‘do, metallic sandals and delicate silver jewelry. Go girl!
The Bold and the Beautiful star Jacqueline MacInnes Wood was all smiles as she hit the red carpet at the CBS, CW and Showtime Summer TCA Party in a fringe-tastic cobalt blue number from Balmain‘s Pre-Fall 2016 collection. The exuberant mini dress boasts intricate bead detailing, a high neck feature, long zipper-adorned sleeves and sheer paneling. I mean, how can you not love this piece? Although we’ve witnessed Balmain overload the past year, it’s refreshing to see another fashionista’s take on the brand.
Ellery is one of my go-to designers for all things gorg! After witnessing some of the hottest style mavens effortlessly slay their pieces, it’s evident that the brand’s staying power is undeniable. The ever-stylish Rita Ora was one of the latest to don one of their memorable Resort 2017 picks as she hit the streets of New York City in a red, white and black ruffle coat dress. The singer also accessorized her look with simple black sandals, embellished drop earrings and in-your-face hair.
Earlier today, the flawless Bonang Matheba took to Instagram as she left all 1 million of her followers in utter awe as she slipped into a shimmery brown and gold gown by Gert-Johan Coetzee. The South African stunner’s eye-catching look also features a thigh-high slit, a large front cutout and a high neck. After Queen B floated down my timeline, I knew it was high time to add her to our list of notable contenders! She’s just on a completely different level style-wise, hands down. She’s such an inspiration!
Katy Perry made a colorful appearance at a preview of her upcoming footwear collection as she served up major attitude in a fiery red Emanuel Ungaro Resort 2017 mid-length blazer and a fitted matching pencil skirt. To top off her classic ‘fit, the singer also wore a pair of gems from her highly-anticipated shoe line that house a bright yellow hue, block heels and thick ankle straps. Katy chose vintage gold accessories and a fun, high ponytail to add to the sartorial perfection. So chic!
We, here at Fashion Bomb Daily, would also like to send another round of congratulations to both Eniko and Kevin Hart for tying the knot on Saturday! The star-studded event included an impressive guest list that included the likes of Ludacris, Dwyane Wade, Garbielle Union, Nelly and more! While Instagram waited anxiously for photos of the bride’s iconic dress to surface, we soon realized the wait was well worth it. Eniko soon posted one of the fiercest shots ever as she looked every bit of lovely in a custom Vera Wang gown. The showstopping lace number was her second dress of the evening that includes a scoop back, long sleeves and delicate floral designs. Can you say #BrideGoals?!
And, that about wraps it up for this week’s nominees!
Jennifer writes, “Hi FBD! I’m sure you’re getting flooded with this specific inquiry but what brand of swimwear is Kim and Jasmine wearing in the below photo (Instagrammed last night)?”
Kim Kardashian posed pretty with friend Jasmine Sanders in pieces by Laina Rauma.
Kim’s $100 Cindy dress is made of sheer mesh.
According to the press release it is, “An epic action-adventure from acclaimed animation studio LAIKA. Clever, kindhearted Kubo (voiced by Art Parkinson of “Game of Thrones”) ekes out a humble living, telling stories to the people of his seaside town including Hosato (George Takei), Hashi (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa), and Kameyo (Academy Award nominee Brenda Vaccaro). But his relatively quiet existence is shattered when he accidentally summons a spirit from his past which storms down from the heavens to enforce an age-old vendetta. Now on the run, Kubo joins forces with Monkey (Academy Award winner Charlize Theron) and Beetle (Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey), and sets out on a thrilling quest to save his family and solve the mystery of his fallen father, the greatest samurai warrior the world has ever known. With the help of his shamisen – a magical musical instrument – Kubo must battle gods and monsters, including the vengeful Moon King (Academy Award nominee Ralph Fiennes) and the evil twin Sisters (Academy Award nominee Rooney Mara), to unlock the secret of his legacy, reunite his family, and fulfill his heroic destiny.”
More intriguing than the story is the fashion. Deborah Cook, from LAIKA, created exceedingly intricate pieces for the characters, inspired by vintage kimono fabric. Undoubtedly laborious, she had to create 35 duplicates of each look, which must be tested for movement, gravity, and detail.
Cool, no? Be sure to check the movie out today if you’re intrigued!
So last night I linked up with Love and Hip Hop New York star Cardi B to talk fashion, fame, and being in the spotlight.
She is hilarious, super smart, and just as animated as you can imagine!
5 things I learned about her:
1. She doesn’t really drink
Though suitors in the restaurant sent her champagne (and I helped myself to some Henny!), she’s not much of a drinker. She avoids the hang overs, empty calories, and prefers sparkling water over spirits.
2. Fame Has Its Pitfalls
When I asked her about the worst parts of fame, she admitted that the negativity often gets to her (sure she’s scrappy, but the mean comments sting). Another downside: her loss of privacy. People have invaded her personal space, asked for selfies on off days, and physically pulled on her for pictures.
3. She Sets Big Goals and Goes for Them
Though she’s only 24, Cardi has come far fast, mainly because she sets big goals. She told herself that she wanted to make $100,000 before she was 22 and she did; her next big goal is to have a family and a gorgeous baby.
4. She Wants to Be Known for Her Music
Cardi wants to focus more on her music career (and her music is popping!). Her song Foreva (above) has over 3 million views!
5. This might be her last season of Love and Hip Hop
If you enjoy watching the Trinidadian/Dominican Bombshell on the small screen, you’ll have to lap it up! She intimated that this will be her last season on the show. Her sights are set on music, marriage, and getting that schmoney.
At any rate, we had a blast, and I can’t wait to take a look at her closet!
If you have any questions for Cardi, leave ’em below and I’ll be sure to ask them when we film.
Smootches!

Semaj’s friend Connie writes in to say, “I am sending in my friend’s info, his name is Semaj from Oakland CA. He’s a total natural at styling.”
“His interpretation of style is simple yet very detailed. He translates trends, colors & textures into his own fashion language and looks awesome while doing so.”
“By the way he can sing beautifully he’s an aspiring gospel singer -take a listen. He’ll probably kill me for doing this but I’ll take the risk!”
I hope Semaj doesn’t get too upset with Connie! She clearly recognizes his swaggy style!
