Happy Wednesday, Bombers and Bombshells!
We have soooo many exciting things going on behind the scenes, including taping several episodes of Fashion Bomb TV! Yesterday I had the distinct pleasure of sitting down and chatting with Nigerian Bombshell and singing sensation Tiwa Savage.

Referred to by some as the Beyoncé of Africa, Tiwa’s musical repertoire contains a slew of robust hits, including Kele Kele Love, African Waist, Eminado, and many more (each of which counts millions of views on YouTube):



Savage recently signed with RocNation with the goal of bringing African music to the world (Africa to the World!). I sat down with her yesterday to discuss music, inspiration, and style!

In addition to her art, Tiwa is known for her scintillating on stage outfits, bold video ensembles, and chic red carpet looks.

Isn’t she bomb? After our interview, we posed on Lenny S aka @KodakLens‘s golden couch for one of his signature polaroids.

Her LBD features a front hook closure, keyhole cut-out, and a cutout back with lace detailing.

I would’ve loved a simple, black ankle-strap sandal with this look and a few inches off the hem for more of a mini length.

Taraji P. Henson has been on our radars as an epic beauty since the late 90’s, but the industry is truly taking notice of her dazzling good looks, incredible talent, and power. The Empire star is collaborating with MAC on a six-piece capsule collection which will launch online on September 6th:

Included in the assortment is: a Mineralize Skinfinish Natural face powder named Taraji Glow, Strip Me Down which is a beige matte lipstick, a Haute & Naughty Too Black Lash, a Mineralize Skinfinish shimmer powder with the moniker Highlight the Truth, a Duo Fibre face brush coined 187, and a Penultimate Eyeliner in Rapidblack.

The products will hit select MAC locations two days later on September 8th—approximately two weeks before Taraji is back on our screens for the season premiere of Empire.

Her vintage Levi’s hail from the 90’s. They feature a high-rise, straight legs, and exaggerated cuffs.

FYI: This charismatic gentleman randomly popped up on my Instagram timeline one evening and I was instantly intrigued by his distinct style. He’s never afraid to experiment with various textures, colors and patterns yet he still manages to maintain this classic coolness that illuminates throughout his photos. Michael-Anthony is also a huge fan of funky tailored blazers, tons of camouflage, vintage hats and eye-catching hues. And, never in my years of highlighting up-and-coming bloggers, have I ever come across such a determined and ambitious young man. He’s the truth!

When I approached Michael-Anthony with the possibility of being featured, I asked him to give FBD readers a glimpse into how he truly defines his style while also shedding some light as to where he garners his dynamic inspiration. In his response he disclosed: “I would define my style as urban-preppy. And I gain a lot my fashion inspiration from my surroundings and other fashionable people.
