Yesterday, I headed to Flushing Meadows for Opening Day of the US Open!
The USTA welcomed loads of fabulously dressed influencers to take in the game, eat, and bask in the summer sun.
Take a look:
Fabulous sisters TK Wonder and Cipriana Quann looked chic in espadrilles, floaty dresses, and printed sets.
TV reporter Reena Roy looked adorable in a white romper, accessorized by a neck scarf, simple sandals, and shades.
Social media star Eliezer Infante shined in his tennis whites.
White was also the call for influencer Flor de Maria Rivera, who paired a white Zara vest with Azzedine Alaia sandals that I must have.
Models Grace Mahary and Fatima Siad sidled up to stripes.
And I wanted to skew sporty! I rocked a Cushnie et Ochs dress, Reebok classics, and preppy specs by Eloexa.
It was a fun time!
Beautiful actress Regina Hall was snapped walking the red carpet during the Los Angeles premiere to commemorate her leading role in the upcoming film When The Bough Breaks. Taking advantage of this golden opportunity, she wore an Elisabetta Franchi spring 2016 Nude Deep V Gown.Swathed in feminine essence, this ethereal gown drapes the body without effort. Its scintillating plunging neckline and thigh high slit add obvious sex appeal, but both are offset by this muted hue and clever ruching. Small shoulder pads add subtle structure to the gown.
Opting to swap the wide belt depicted on the runway for a very thin sash was a great decision. But was this look, in its entirety, a good choice? Absolutely! Regina stunned despite the muted color palette. A little goes a long way, and minimal Anne Sisteron jewels and gold Loriblu sandals attest to that.A top knot tied her look together. The gown isn’t available for purchase just yet, but you can take a peek at the rest of the collection here. So, what do you think? Are you feeling Regina’s ensemble?
The MTV VMA afterparties were star-studded! Fringe, cutouts, sheer panels, curve-hugging silhouettes: the fashion of the celebrations certainly did not disappoint.
Let’s get into the evening’s looks!
Rihanna’s reign continued, with her sauntering in a The Dolls House sheer fringe jumpsuit. Hot!
After Nicki Minaj smoldered in Laverne Cox for the main event, Laverne Cox picked up the brand’s crown in a white, sheer panel bodysuit and Marciano skirt. Werk Laverne!
Dascha Polanco served nothing but curves in a navy Marciano gown. Simply stunning.
Fashionable twins TK Wonder and Cipriana Quann sizzled in a denim choker, strapless bandeau, leather mini skirt, patent thigh-highs, and a lace-up LBD, respectively. This was fab!
Justine Skye posed with Republic Records CEO Monte Lipman in an embellished, bustier-inspired LBD and matching head piece. Pretty!
Jasmine Tookes was clad in all-black—giving us all the inspiration we need for Fall. Gorgeous woman.
Drake partied with the lady of the evening, Rihanna, in an embroidered and embellished bomber jacket.
Tracee Ellis Ross presented for the evening and kept on the same spirited look: a MTV logo sweatshirt and sheer black skirt.
Queen Naomi Campbell looked every bit the supermodel in a yellow, feathered confection.
Hailey Baldwin was white hot in a strapless David Koma dress and gold, leg-wrap sandals.
Nick Jonas repped for the fellas in the modern version of a tracksuit, crafted from green leather. I want this pairing for my own wardrobe!
A floral-embellished top and high-waist trousers were on the agenda for Hailee Steinfeld. Another ensemble I would absolutely wear.
Teyana Taylor‘s raw talent was captured Sunday evening during her solo performance in the premiere of Kanye West’s ‘Fade’ video at the MTV Video Music Awards. Following her Lil Kim tribute at this year’s VH1 Hip Hop Honors, Taylor upped the ante with a jaw-dropping dance sequence that’s sure to have the streets talking for a few weeks.
The recent mother of 8 month old daughter Iman Tayla (affectionately known as Junie), put her fit, toned body on display as she donned moves reminiscent of the 1980’s Flashdance movie. Her skin glistened as she rolled around on the floor in a crop top and thong, whipping her damp tresses as she moved to the music.
Her recent performances remind us of why we fell in love with the vivacious singer, dancer and designer. From her appearance on MTV’s Sweet Sixteen to her current and most important role as a mother, Taylor shows that she is able to juggle it all.
Her 2007 television debut helped put her on the map. The big-haired, sneaker-head girl with a raspy voice was the textbook definition of a tomboy. Forget high-heels and fancy cars, she wanted exclusive sneakers and high-end bicycles. Her love for luxury footwear would eventually lead her to collaborations with major brands like Adidas and Reebok.
Taylor used her YouTube page as a platform to promote her singing and dancing. She would upload videos of herself covering songs by Alicia Keys, Anita Baker and Lauryn Hill. She would also show off her choreography skills by dancing to hit songs like Beyonce’s ‘End of Time.’ In 2014 she released VII, her debut studio album under GOOD Music. The album was in the number 1 spot on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip Hop Album category.
Successfully mastering music, dance and design, she embarked on what might be her biggest accomplishment. In December of 2015, Taylor’s fiance Iman Shumpert, basketball player for the Cleveland Cavilers, delivered their baby girl in the bathroom of their home. But more shocking than how the baby was delivered was the photo Teyana Taylor posted to her Instagram six days post baby.
Now we’ve come full circle. Yesterday’s performance reminded the world that Teyana Taylor is HOT! The epic ‘Fade’ video proves this triple threat is one to be watched. Number one album? Check! Bomb dance skills? Check! Talented designer? Judging by her sold out collections, I’d say she is! This video has the potential to take her career to the next level and if all fails, we can at least thank Teyana for our new gym memberships! #BodyGoals
