I took a look and fell in love with these $1,070 Braided Velvet Sandals by Marco De Vincenzo:
The velvet stunners are designed with two oversized braids offset by a pin-thin 4.5″ stiletto heel and a delicate ankle strap,
They come in purple and emerald green.
Wear them with jeans or a flirty skirt!
At $1,070 they are indeed a splurge, but the 10% off code helps ease the pain. But them here or download the Net-a-Porter app and get them today!

Fashion extraordinaire Christine Centenera took to the streets of Milan Fashion Week while wearing a chic sheer polka dot blouse, strappy snakeskin ankle strap heels and an eye-catching $1,295 Altuzarra ‘Jude’ Paisley Faux Wrap Skirt. But, our girl Rihanna recently rocked the same piece with a pair of eccentric $895 Aquazzurra ‘Wild Russian’ Lace-Up Sandals, an off-the-shoulder tie dye crop top and an exuberant black fur coat.
The playful skirt boasts a dual-toned mixed print, a towering slit and also showcases a clean silhouette. If you’re up for the splurge, purchase yours now!
In my opinion, both ladies slayed! This is two completely different takes on the skirt and they’re both flawless in their own way. Point blank.
One of the victims was identified as 16-year-old Sarai Lara, who had survived cancer as a young girl. According to reports, she and her older sister had gone shopping, and had split up to go to different stores.
Sarai was fortunate enough to beat cancer, only to then be killed at the hands of a gunman, who seemed to have no motive. It seems we can’t even shop without the threat of violence or bodily harm.
Our hearts and prayers go out to the families and victims of this tragedy.

*Just last night, our presidential candidates debated about a range of topics, including gun violence and gun control. When Hillary Clinton accepted her Democratic Nomination in July, she said, “I’m not here to take away your guns. I just don’t want you to be shot by someone who shouldn’t have a gun in the first place. We will work tirelessly with responsible gun owners to pass common-sense reforms and keep guns out of the hands of criminals, terrorists and all others who would do us harm.”
As Fashion Week marches on in Milan (and goes to Paris next week), I can’t help but wonder: what’s the big whoop? Let’s be clear: I am a fashion enthusiast, and covered the shows in New York, London, Milan, and Paris for 8 seasons. But as I watch with glazed eyes at publicity stunts (Alice in Ghetto Land, anyone?), break dancing, and peacocking, I sometimes wonder is it really relevant in today’s fashion climate?
Yes, we can look at Gucci and point to their red/green trimmed pieces, and sometimes we’ll catch the uber wealthy like Marjorie Harvey in a full runway look (the Lady Loves Couture!). But increasingly we’re seeing the very wealthy wear everything from runway to House of CB and My Style Mode, with pieces ringing in around $100.
Fashion Nova has 5.3 million followers on Instagram, and has scores of celebrity spokespeople, including Nicki Minaj (who has also posed for Roberto Cavalli).
The list of celebrity clientele for House of CB reads like a who’s who of Hollywood. Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Gigi Hadid, the Kardashian/Jenners and many more have worn their affordable dresses on multiple occasions.
Of course we know that fashion trickles down. Before House of CB started creating its own original designs, it was known to primarily sell Herve Leger knock offs. And even now, you can see inspirations from Balmain.
And high fashion has its place on red carpets. But increasingly, we’re also seeing people wear House of CB on the red carpet.
So what do you think? Are brands like Zara, Topshop, Missguided, Boohoo, House of CB, and Fashion Nova more relevant in today’s fashion climate?

The Smithsonian Museum of African American History in Washington D. C. opened over this weekend! Lupita Nyong’o was in attendance looking like an African Queen in a $2,105 Maki Oh Adire Camouflage Dress:
The beautifully embellished structured piece works as perfect statement evening wear.
Hot! She better work with her African inspired ‘fits.
She gives life everlasting.

Tonight, Monday, 9/26 at 9pm EST, seasoned Democratic Presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, will face off with the former-reality star/business tycoon, Republican Presidential nominee, Donald Trump, for a prime-time show down for the ages.
If you’re like me and, perhaps – given our limited political options – more frightened about the future than fired up about the possibilities, let’s treat tonight as our opportunity to get tuned in because, no matter what goes down tonight, or how the debate is spun though the media wash tomorrow, it is safe to say that we will have entered the final stretch of the political battle. If there’s any hope for success in this 2016 Election, we (i.e., young, professional, and diverse citizens) need to get in formation. And fast. Here’s a few tips for getting started, tonight.
First, how to watch tonight’s debate:
Taking place at Hempstead, New York’s Hofstra University, tonight’s debate can be watched on any major cable and broadcast network, including CNN, Fox News, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC and C-SPAN. And, Twitter is live streaming the Bloomberg Media broadcast while Facebook Live is carrying ABC’s live stream as well as various news networks’ live broadcasts. YouTube will also have live streams from many organizations, including PBS, the Washington Post and Telemundo.
Mark your calendar for the remaining presidential debates:
Oct. 4th ― Vice presidential debate at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia.
Oct. 9th ― Presidential debate at Washington University in St. Louis.
Oct. 19th ― Presidential debate at University of Nevada-Las Vegas.

Fall has arrived! And we couldn’t be more excited to update our wardrobes with the season’s latest trends. Although velvet is at the top of our list of trends to try, aside from a sleek pair of shoes or a stylish handbag, it can be a bit tricky to pull off. So today I’ve curated four velvet infused looks to give you some ideas on how to rock the look.
Rock velvet-on-velvet with a pair of high-waist velvet leggings and a tailored velvet blazer.
Accentuate the look with a Gucci signature embossed shoulder bag, ankle-strap sandals and gold jewelry.
Kick your off-duty look up a few notches with a double dose of velvet in an embroidered velvet track jacket and blue velvet ankle-strap sandals.
Bring the look together with a pair of distressed relaxed skinny jeans, a navy mini city bag, a stylish felt fedora, and mirrored-lens sunglasses.
Give your look a retro chic feel in an oversized distressed denim jacket styled with a graphic muscle tee and distressed skinny jeans.
A black velvet perspex-heel ankle boot, monogram chain bag, and a velvet choker adds an edgy rocker flare.
Dress up your velvet look with a lace-trimmed bodysuit, a pair of black coated high-waist skinny jeans, and a double-breasted leather blazer.
Add a touch of glamour with a metallic knot clutch, a bronze ankle-tie sandal, and gold jewelry.
And that’s it for this week’s velvet themed style inspirations. What do you think of the velvet trend? Be sure to follow me on Instagram @StyleIsMyObsession for more stylish wardrobe and outfit suggestions. Based in LA and need personal styling? E-mail me at Danielle@FashionBombDaily.com.
