Beyonce closed out her Formation World Tour with an electric concert at East Rutherford, New Jersey!
We were on the scene, taking in her music and myriad of new looks, conceived by frequent collaborator Marni Senofonte.
Many have decried Beyonce’s on stage looks, claiming ennui with her form fitting bodysuits. For her last stop, she brought fire, fashion, and variety to her legions of fans.
She hit the stage in a voluminously ruffled Gilles Montezin coat, worn with LFL by Lust for Life Velvet Boots:
This week has been a complete whirlwind of organized chaos. Currently, I’m writing this article from my desk at work as I make plans to take a quick detour to indulge in (my alma mater) Prairie View A&M University’s 2016 homecoming festivities. Words can’t describe how excited I am to get back to The Hill!
But, first, let’s get into some our favorite looks of the week!
The lovely Janelle Monae was on hand for an NYC screening of Moonlight while rocking a chic two-piece set from Vionnet. The lux combination boasts an off-the-shoulder feature, black horizontal stripes and an effortless Parisian feel. The songstress accessorized her memorable look with a red beret, a striking box clutch and her signature ruby lip. Cute!
Karlie Kloss has been killing it lately, hasn’t she? Earlier this week, the stunning model attended L’Oreal Paris’s Gold Obsession Party in a $3,895 Brandon Maxwell high slit gown that was fit for a princess! With dramatic makeup on deck and metallic gold accents poppin’, Karlie served up all kinds of sultry appeal with just a single leg! Although she’s donning a classic LBD, the modern touches took this look to a completely different level. Hot!
Say what you want about Bey, but this chick loves her Gucci! We’ve anxiously watched as the superstar pulled out designer ‘fit after designer ‘fit during her time in The Big Apple, yet it was this playful bubble gum pink look that left our Instagram followers drooling by ringing in more than 7,400 likes! For this sartorial slay, H-Town’s sweetheart slipped into a logo baseball cap, a pink merino knit butterfly sweater and a pastel-hued metallic skirt from the Italian fashion house. The reviews may have been mixed but, one thing is for sure – Bey is still Queen. Fashion is all about having fun and breaking rules despite what the critics say and this is the perfect example. Love it!
Marjorie Harvey sent us on quite the fashionable rollercoaster throughout her time at Paris Fashion Week! We’ve seen this bomb style enthusiast uplift some of the hottest and most sought after designers including Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Chanel and even Givenchy; however, it was a monochromatic jumpsuit and coat combo from LaQuan Smith that left us spiraling out of control. The street style pro amped up her body-hugging ensemble with embellished, pointed pumps and a flawless honey blonde bob. Ya’ll better take notes!
Just when we thought Lupita couldn’t get any better, she shocked us (yet again) with one of her unexpected fashion picks. The Kenyan-Mexican actress struck a quick pose before heading to the South African premiere of her new film Queen of Katwe in an eye-catching multicolored knit midi dress from Balmain’s Resort 2017 collection. In consistency with many of her recent red carpet appearances, the chocolate stunner also wore a matching sating head wrap and large hoop earrings. If you look closely, the detailing on this piece is ravishing! It’s literally a walking masterpiece. And, I’m here for every moment!
And last, but certainly not least, we have the icon herself Rihanna! The singer hit the streets of New York City as she debuted flowing deep brown faux locs alongside a plunging Are You Am I fiery red satin slip dress and Prada laminated calf hair leather sandals. While Rih is known for her random pairings, this look speaks volumes! I adore the fact that she combined such a two gorgeous textures to slay in a look that will be duplicated for months to come. The style extraordinaire added her trusty Marni fur stole to provide the finishing touches. Go girl!
So, what are your thoughts on this week’s contenders?
Her merino dress boasts a v-neck and t-shirt styling.
Her saddle bag features the iconic French fashion house’s signature ring hardware, oversized studs, optional crossbody strap, a magnetic snap-flap closure, and an exterior zip pocket.
