Off the shoulder jackets have been super hot this season! Celebrities like Beyonce, Rihanna, Solange and Laura Govan have been seen sporting jackets that drape off of their shoulders. After seeing Christina Milian in an off the shoulder leather jacket, I had to have it in my life!
This show stopper features draped shoulders, an asymmetrical front zipper, zip arm cuffs, and the classic moto jacket belt.
A guaranteed splurge, priced at $2,004, the lamb leather biker is a timeless piece that will accent any ensemble.

Long time Fashion Bomb reader Jordan recently wrote in! He typed, “I’ve been looking all over for colorful men’s outerwear, and I can’t find any. The now-ended Details magazine did an editorial of all colored outerwear, and I was in love. I just want to find some at a more affordable price point. Would you be able to help me?”
This Ombré coat from Zara offers an updated take on your colorful request. The gray and black will fit seamlessly into your wardrobe, while the ombré will undoubtedly help you stand out from the crowd. Purchase this option here.
ASOS comes through yet again! This overcoat in rose is a stand out piece, and will add a shirt aura to a subdued look (I’m thinking wearing it with gray or cream. Yum!). Get it here.
This was hard! Finding colorful, affordable coats for men is certainly a feat, but I hope those helped.
If you have any more suggestions, leave ’em in the comments. Buy the coats above below:
We’ve all experienced that sense of intimidation when going into a super expensive store at some point in our lives. We think: I don’t belong here. I can’t afford to even think about buying this stuff. Is security following me? Let me run! Here’s my advice: stop that.
When I was younger, my mom used to drive my brother and I through the nicer neighborhoods in Atlanta, and we would ogle at the gorgeous mansions. And just like that, I got it in my mind that I wanted to live in a mansion, and I started dreaming bigger. It was the same case when I decided to pop by Asprey, an internationally known jewelry company that has a retail location at the Setai Hotel in Miami Beach (2001 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139). Founded in 1781, Asprey has a long relationship with British royalty and holds a Royal Warrant for every British monarch and several other foreign heads of state. In short, their jewelry is fit for a Queen. So I decided to try some pieces on.
Now…I normally wear costume jewelry from Topshop and Aldo. I really don’t spend a lot on jewelry! It’s just never been a thing for me. But let me tell you when that ice touches your wrist…! I can see why Lil Wayne made a song called Bling Bling. There is nothing like it.
Diamonds can be simple and understated. They electrify an outfit unlike anything else. And though I don’t have diamond money at the moment (the snazzy set above retails at $100,000), let me tell you, I’m now dreaming of diamonds. I told the manager of the store, Emerald, that I would be coming back in a year to purchase those pieces. Hold me to it.
I encourage you all to dream big. Give me one good reason why you shouldn’t have the best of everything in the world? I can’t see why not! And you deserve it.
Love + Light,

Transitioning from summer to fall for a plus sized woman can be problematic and overwhelming, especially when you’ve grown tired of trolling the same places looking for variety. Women of all sizes deserve choices when investing financially in fall trends or just dressing appropriately for the season. Fortunately, we are no longer stuck with only the Lane Bryant mall experience! We have options and while there are independent designers and emerging brands that may not be in your local strip center, they provide even the most curviest fashionista some alternatives. That’s right ladies, we have grown past the belted moo-moos and potato sacks and can now find tailored selections that complement every curve.
Boots, jackets, and holiday glam are just a few items that can be difficult to find for a plus-sized woman. To help lighten the load of a curvy girl’s plight, I am listing some of my favorite designers that absolutely slay in their collections. While most of these style extraordinaires are online only, a few actually have showrooms that you can visit and get a customized shopping experience. Let’s get into the brands!
Atlanta-based JIBRI has dressed “fashion conscious curves” since 2006. Owner Jasmine Elder is the brands exclusive designer and seamstress. Collection after collection, JIBRI continues to make timeless garments that are well- constructed and classic in design. JIBRI designs have been worn by many singers & starlets including Tamela Mann, Tasha Cobbs, Kiera Sheard, Jill Scott, Toccara, Amber Riley, Brittany Howard (Alabama Shakes), Tess Holiday, Gabourey Sidibe & Lonnie Love. Customers can shop JIBRI’s website or visit their showroom located about 25 miles from downtown Atlanta.
Finally a brand that’s perfected the cocktail dress (but in extended sizes)! Sexy, ultra-feminine, and perfect for a night out, Z By Zeverra is an emerging brand launched in 2013 to cater to the long time deficit of sophisticated and glamorous garments offered to a full-figured woman. Launched by Lakisha Livingston-Brown, a software engineer turned designer, Brown was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of providing luxurious garments at a reasonable price point. Z by Zeverra is online based and offers sizing up to a 24.
Originally launched in 2011 under The Limited Brands, Eloquii is a contemporary plus retailer based out of Columbus, Ohio and New York City. As seen on Forbes.com, Eloquii has vowed to “fill the void in plus sized fashion” by offering new product lines every two to three weeks. As an online retailer, the selection of available garments makes the hassle of shopping via the internet worth it. Eloquii offers clothing for sizes 14-28 and most recently launched petite plus options.
International e-tailer ASOS has become a household name across fifty countries and counting. In 2011, ASOS launched the Curve line catering to women US sizes 12-24. The brand within the global marketplace has now fully developed into a collection of retailers whom all cater to the curvy woman. Chi Chi London, New Look, and Junarose are a few of the brands you can find with exclusive curvy looks designed just for ASOS.
With eighty-nine retail stores across the country, retailer Ashley Stewart has served as a leading plus-sized retailer since 1991. An extremely customer-service oriented brand, Ashley Stewart hosts amazing in-store events and social media campaigns (i.e. #IamAshley). Ashley Stewart has made it their business to ride the waves of technology by successfully staying connected with customers on every social media platform. Most recently they launched extended sizing, up to size 32, and web exclusive fashions only available via their website. Ashley Stewart’s Web Exclusive collection offers coats, wide-width shoes, and Halloween costumes up to size 3x.
Known for their ability to provide seasonal “fast fashion” and for consistently staying on trend, Fashion to Figure (FTF) is a United States retailer with twenty-six physical locations and an online and social media base. Fashion to Figure was co-founded by brothers Michael and Nicholas Kaplan, two of Lena Bryant‘s (founder of plus-size mega retailer Lane Bryant’s) great-grandsons. Affordable and stylish, FTF’s price point is rarely over $50 and unlike most plus brands, FTF offers a range of prints and color in several of their items.
#SEXYFORALL is this fashion retailer’s slogan they’ve been sticking to since they launched in 2015. Rebdolls offers basic wardrobe essentials in various colors to fill in the gaps of a true working closet. Bodycon dresses, pencil skirts, and body suits are a few garments you would find on their website, up to size 5x. The brand also takes swimwear very seriously and launches a massive campaign every summer using plus bloggers and familiar faces. With an extremely reasonable price point most of Rebdoll’s items sell out quickly so die-hard shoppers act quick.

Happy Monday, folks!
I just returned from a sun filled and action packed weekend down in Miami for the Revolt Music Conference! Every day was chock full of activities, and I’m honestly a bit overwhelmed recounting it all! But as the popular phrase goes, begin at the beginning and at the end…stop.
So let’s go!
Though each woman on the panel offers something different to the digital community, we all triumph because of our authenticity! We are unapologetically ourselves. Consistency and quality are also keys to our success.
Someone in the audience asked how to we stay ahead of the curve. I offered that we continue to evolve our brands and go to where people are. So if readers aren’t on the website as much, they can find us on Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook Live, and more! To wit, we are going to be doing a lot more on those platforms, but will of course put the most important info right here!
For the day, I offered classic with a kick with a Sergio Hudson button down, House of CB skirt, and Versace sandals.
It was very Miami Vice, no?
At any rate, the whole time was fun, and had loads of highlights including kicking it with Kehlani, Yara Shahadi, Trina, and DJ KHALED!!!!
Tidal had an electrifying concert this weekend, with performances by Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, and more!
Take a look at what the leading ladies rocked on the red carpet:
Nicki Minaj skewed scandalous in a sheer Margiela catsuit and Prada lace up shoes. This was racy!
She opted for all white later in the night in a vintage jacket, custom bodysuit, and Sophia Webster heels. I liked this.
T.I. smiled bright in a rose embellished Bomber jacket.
Bebe Rexha embraced the velvet trend in a Queen Russia top and short set. She’s hot!
Beyonce went for sheer simplicity in a dress by Guillermo Gattioni.
Lastly, Justine Skye looked bomb in a Moschino jacket and a high slit skirt.
The concert was pretty dope! I’m sure you guys all saw Nicki’s….performance.
