Last night, Fashion Bomb Daily was the official red carpet correspondent for the 2016 Keep a Child Alive Black Ball!

Keep a Child Alive is an organization focused on raising money and awareness for children and families afflicted by AIDS. The Keep a Child Alive Black Ball has raised over $20 million in funds and touched over 300,000 families through its philanthropic efforts. Last night welcomed celebrities, socialites, and industry insiders to the Hammerstein ballroom to raise money and have a ball. Keep a Child Alive co-founder Alicia Keys honored music scion Clive Davis; the night was peppered with performances by Salt N Pepa, Chance the Rapper, and ASAP Rocky.

Gorgeous songstress LionBabe looked lovely in a vintage dress she snagged from her mom’s closet.

Salt N Pepa performed! But before they hit the stage, they flexed on the carpet, with Pepa in Roberto Cavalli, Salt in Diane von Furstengberg and Giuseppe Zanotti heels, and Spinderella in a custom creation. They were so much fun!

Russell Simmons was in the building! He posed with model Genevieve Barker.

Stylist and Fashion Bomb Daily Special Project Director Ty Hunter worked a turban with a Dolce & Gabbana suit.

Padma Lakshmi glimmered in a green sequined dress from Sally Lapointe’s Pre-Fall 2016 collection.

Mashonda came to slay in a Herve Leger gown, uplifted by Tom Ford accessories.

We had a great time chatting with model Alek Wek! She kept it punchy in a Ralph Lauren button down and a Thakoon jumpsuit.

Glow Maven and Fashion Bomb friend Latham Thomas looked bomb in a black Nicholas dress and Valentino Rockstud heels.

Keep a Child Alive CEO Peter Twyman cut a fine form in a Hugo Boss suit.

Power actress Naturi Naughton beamed in a bright blue BCBG gown.

Trainer Jeanette Jenkins is snatched, honey! She showed off her form in a House of CB dress and sparkling Giuseppe Zanotti sandals I must have.

Swizz Beatz looked dapper in a Dior suit, accented by a Jean Michel Basquiat pin.

Lastly, the woman of the night went for understated in a pleated skirt over pants, and a Public School tee that read, “We Need Leaders.” Indeed.

She grabbed a pic with the night’s honoree, Clive Davis.
I was busy running Facebook Live, Snapchat, AND Instagram stories with my team, but took a moment to grab a pic with Swizz Beatz before the festivities began.

Inside, the crowd rocked to the sounds of Chance the Rapper, ASAP Rocky, Alicia Keys, Patti Smith, and Salt N Pepa:

I grabbed a pic with ASAP Rocky (he said he’d be down to interview for Fashion Bomb TV!)

Said wassup to Power players Elaine Welteroth, Naturi Naughton, and Omari Hardwick.

And ended the night with a group shot of Fashion Bomb Daily team members Kelley Carter and Ty Hunter:

For the occasion, I wore a dress by Brooklyn Based designer Shades of Shea.

Chanel Iman flexed her off-duty style in West Hollywood, clad in a $1,460 Unravel Project Green Frayed Military Jacket, $2,115 Tomasini Studded Bucket Bag, and $320 Schutz Jolana Boots:

Her burn-out velvet set is comprised of a strapless crop top and high-waist trousers.

Naomie Harris took to the Moonlight Atlanta Screening in a $419 Disaya Floral Embroidered Suede Midi Skirt, alongside co-star Janelle Monae who wore a $1,300 LPA 58 Studded Floral Embroidered Leather Jacket:

Naomie’s suede skirt boasts a midi length, floral embroidered patchwork, and lace accents.

Janelle’s black leather jacket features a zip-front closure, side zip pockets, belted waist, zip closure gussets on the sleeves, and floral embroidery stitch detailing with stud trim.

Khloe Kardashian celebrated the launch of her Good American jean line in the same $835 Olgana Paris Mink Fur Trim Sandals her older sister Kim Kardashian originally sported back in July:

Khloe paired the black iterations with a $139 Gooseberry Intimates Honey Bee Bodysuit and her very own $159 Good American Good Legs Crop Jeans. Kim chose the brown versions with a matching simple mini dress.

The satin slingbacks feature mink-fur front straps, asymmetric front, and gold-tone metal chain side detailing.
