Seoul Fashion Week is going down right now! If you’re never been to the South Korean city, I implore you to visit as soon as you can. The style there is unreal and if you have a penchant for denim, you might just go broke and leave all your coins there. That’s why it is no surprise that brand Kiok is one of the biggest—known for its conversation-starting iterations on the classic texture:
Mother-daughter trio Kiok Kang, Coco.J Lee, and Crayon Lee started the brand over a decade ago in 2004. Their Spring assortment juxtaposed denim with plaid, stripe crop tops, and ruffle-accented bomber jackets—anchoring most of the looks with slide sandals or floral-patterned booties for that vernal touch.
The waistbands of jeans were turned upside and thrown over tie-shoulder tops, while low-slung pairs harked back to the early aughts with zip-fronts and raw hems.
Supremely feminine ensembles were pulsed into the collection by way of bow detailing, transparent skirts, rosette embellishment, Spring-perfect florals, and flounce necklines.
My favorite pieces among the wares were the tops: fun takes on girly classics like A-line designs and off-the-shoulder denim numbers with peplum bottoms and bustier-inspired styling. The items were functional, but completely statement-making—the kinds of articles you absolutely want in your wardrobe.
Denim aficionados including Rihanna, Beyoncé, and Tracee Ellis Ross would look fabulous in these looks. Longline denim jackets would be effortless on the bad gal, while ruffle-detailed button front tops would work with Bey’s proclivity for Gucci accessories.
Fashioned with an asymmetric cut accented with signature ruffle shoulder detail, the Maria De Medici top is perfect for showcasing your shoulders and décolletage. The blouse is finished with a waist-cinching wrap tie, all-over stitching and cut-out to the chest.
I guess we know who Rihanna supports! The Bajan singer/designer was spied in NYC endorsing presidential hopeful, Hilary Clinton, through fashion in a $35 Trapvilla Hillarygraybrim Tee:
The limited edition, grey, 100% cotton tee shirt features a picture of Hilary Clinton in a New York Yankees baseball fitted hat.
Rihanna kept it casual in a pair of cut-off shorts and chocolate Timberland boots.
Yes, Rihanna! What a bomb way to say #ImWithHer!
You can purchase the HilaryGrayBrim Tee here for $35.
Target has a pretty powerful tradition of collaborating with the industry’s hottest designers. Fashion-loving individuals wait with bated breath for each announcement and buzz has ensued almost immediately on more than a few occasions. The last few collections haven’t quite packed the usual punch we’re used to, but the brand’s latest release has already made people all over the globe quite excited. Up next for Target is a set of designs with none other than Victoria Beckham:
The vernal assortment will be heavily influenced by Beckham’s Victoria, Victoria Beckham line—the more affordable and more playful sister label to her main collection. Ready-to-wear and accessories will be on the menu for both women, girls, toddlers, and babies.
In a press release, Beckham stated, “Working with Target has been a really exciting process, and this partnership allows us to share the essence of Victoria, Victoria Beckham with more people than ever before.” She continued, “I was inspired to create the Victoria, Victoria Beckham line when I was pregnant with Harper, and since its launch, the category has evolved into an established lifestyle collection. I felt it was the perfect time to extend into a more accessible price point.”
Mark your calendars for April 9, 2017 and bookmark Target stores and Target.com. The collection will be available internationally as well, with some pieces available on Victoria Beckham’s e-commerce site.

Happy Thursday, folks!
Last night, Fashion Bomb Daily was the official red carpet correspondent for the 2016 Keep a Child Alive Black Ball!
Keep a Child Alive is an organization focused on raising money and awareness for children and families afflicted by AIDS. The Keep a Child Alive Black Ball has raised over $20 million in funds and touched over 300,000 families through its philanthropic efforts. Last night welcomed celebrities, socialites, and industry insiders to the Hammerstein ballroom to raise money and have a ball. Keep a Child Alive co-founder Alicia Keys honored music scion Clive Davis; the night was peppered with performances by Salt N Pepa, Chance the Rapper, and ASAP Rocky.
Take a look at who popped by:
Gorgeous songstress LionBabe looked lovely in a vintage dress she snagged from her mom’s closet.
Salt N Pepa performed! But before they hit the stage, they flexed on the carpet, with Pepa in Roberto Cavalli, Salt in Diane von Furstengberg and Giuseppe Zanotti heels, and Spinderella in a custom creation. They were so much fun!
Russell Simmons was in the building! He posed with model Genevieve Barker.
Stylist and Fashion Bomb Daily Special Project Director Ty Hunter worked a turban with a Dolce & Gabbana suit.
Padma Lakshmi glimmered in a green sequined dress from Sally Lapointe’s Pre-Fall 2016 collection.
Mashonda came to slay in a Herve Leger gown, uplifted by Tom Ford accessories.
We had a great time chatting with model Alek Wek! She kept it punchy in a Ralph Lauren button down and a Thakoon jumpsuit.
Glow Maven and Fashion Bomb friend Latham Thomas looked bomb in a black Nicholas dress and Valentino Rockstud heels.
Keep a Child Alive CEO Peter Twyman cut a fine form in a Hugo Boss suit.
Power actress Naturi Naughton beamed in a bright blue BCBG gown.
Swizz Beatz looked dapper in a Dior suit, accented by a Jean Michel Basquiat pin.
Lastly, the woman of the night went for understated in a pleated skirt over pants, and a Public School tee that read, “We Need Leaders.” Indeed.
She grabbed a pic with the night’s honoree, Clive Davis.
I was busy running Facebook Live, Snapchat, AND Instagram stories with my team, but took a moment to grab a pic with Swizz Beatz before the festivities began.
Inside, the crowd rocked to the sounds of Chance the Rapper, ASAP Rocky, Alicia Keys, Patti Smith, and Salt N Pepa:
I grabbed a pic with ASAP Rocky (he said he’d be down to interview for Fashion Bomb TV!)
Said wassup to Power players Elaine Welteroth, Naturi Naughton, and Omari Hardwick.
And ended the night with a group shot of Fashion Bomb Daily team members Kelley Carter and Ty Hunter:
For the occasion, I wore a dress by Brooklyn Based designer Shades of Shea.
What do you think?
At any rate, I’m off to LA to host Africa Fashion Week LA.
Y’all keep me in your prayers, ok? Thanks:)
Smootches!
