Each panelist offered insight on their background before launching into advice. We all agreed that taking care of finances is key. It’s important to set goals (and write them down!). Don’t be afraid to receive and ask for help. Having a great team is necessary (but finding the right team can take some trial and error!). And life is too short not to go for your dreams.
Crystal Streets rocked a flirty Zara dress, Topshop knee high socks, and Gianvito Rossi pumps.
Yolanda Keels-Walker of the Business Babes uplifted a chic jumpsuit with a foxy fur stole and Sophia Webster ‘Boss Lady” pumps. I love it!
It was a fun time, and I will definitely be doing more panels on Women in Entrepreneurship (and I plan on coming back to Philly!)
Stay tuned for video!
Until then, what do you think?
Our What to Wear curator Danielle Nicole is always on top of the latest in fashion. I tend to refer to her Instagram @Styleismyobsession for outfit inspiration. While scrolling through her IG feed, I instantly fell in love with these Burberry Westmarsh Embellished Boots:
These Italian crafted stunners feature brogue detailing at the toe, with a flashy, gold plated buckle placed over the cutout detail on the side of the boot.
Priced at $1,795, the Westmarshs are worth the investment! The glam-punk platforms put me in the mind of June Ambrose’s amazing collection of platform shoes.
The snake-skin accents on the 4.5″ heel, and its edgy 1″ platform are what drew me to these show stoppers.
So edgy! Pair these with a pleated midi and turn heads everywhere!
Here they are, styled to perfection! Find outfit deets here.
Another big awards show went down last night in LA! The 2nd Annual InStyle Awards took place with our favorite supermodels, actresses, and fashion industry darlings in attendance.
Let’s check out the night’s looks!
Jourdan Dunn looked every bit the model in a David Koma orange set.
A one-shoulder teal blouse and black skirt from Haider Ackermann were on the menu for Priyanka Chopra, who walked away with the Breakthrough Style Star award. Much deserved!
It was all about embellishment for Sofia Richie in a floral Moschino, tuxedo-inspired dress. This was fun.
Sir John was easily one of the night’s best dressed in a Dolce & Gabbana trio. He won the Makeup Artist of the Year award and he absolutely earned it this year!
Nicole Kidman accepted the Style Icon of the Year award in a black and pink Atelier Versace gown. Hot!
All-black with textured touches peppered in comprised Usher’s look for the night. He’s so handsome.
Leon Bridges was dapper in a white Armani suit and gold textured shirt. I love his retro-inspired style and sound!
Rachel Zoe was a vision in a one-shoulder lace stunner from her own brand. I live for her style!
Olivia Culpo was gilded in a Galvan maxi dress. She never disappoints.
Does Dita Von Teese ever have an off day? Her Ulyana Sergeenko dress was perfection.
Have you all been watching Queen Sugar? One of its stars, Kofi Siriboe opted for an embellished, contrast lapel blazer. He’s so good-looking, that it’s actually a bit sickening!
Jodie Smith brought the boudoir trend to the black carpet in Tylynn Nguyen separates. I’ve got my eye on her for sure.
Today’s Fashion Bombshell is Kristabel from London:
“I’m Kristabel, a blogger from London who’s obsessed with stripes, suede and all kinds of patterns.”
“I’m not afraid of embroidery, pretty heels, and some of the feminine frills that are on the runway this season.”
“I see fashion as a way to have fun and express yourself, so it doesn’t matter if that’s wearing a spotty dress you’ve had for ages or the latest thing from Zara.”
“Anything goes and it’s definitely a London attitude to mix everything up.”
“I believe that you can wear anything you want as long as you have conviction; I get so much inspiration from street style and other bloggers.”
“Im quite open to different things and wouldn’t rule anything out. I just wear what I feel happy and comfortable in at the time.”

Kristabel, you embody all things London! I love your selection of clogs, so chic!

The stars were aplenty at last night’s 23rd Annual ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards. Metallics, expertly-tailored suits, embellishment, and figure-skimming silhouettes were all on the menu.
Take a look at who swung by:
ELLE cover star Lupita Nyong’o was a vision in a Duro Olowu dress and Brian Atwood heels.
Tracee Ellis Ross shimmered and sparkled in a silver Missoni confection with red lips and a matching clutch for pops of color.
Kelly Rowland sizzled in a sequin Givenchy dress and Tom Ford sandals. She’s always fabulous.
A cutout Christian Siriano LBD was on the agenda for Regina King. He makes a gorgeous dress, doesn’t he?
How To Get Away With Murder actress Aja Naomi King put an artful take on the classic black and white combo in Toni Maticevski. Hot!
Michelle Williams was pretty in pink, beaming in a Fame and Partners maxi dress. She’s never looked better!
Louis Vuitton girl Sasha Lane went bold in a colorblock look from the iconic French fashion house. She’s one of my faves.
Karen David was the lady in red, slipping on a $485 Milly Selena Dress in the head-turning hue. Love this dress!
Yara Shahidi accented printed separates with a braided ‘do. What’s not to like?
Shay Mitchell was Fall-perfect in a velvet wrap dress, studded choker, strappy sandals, and that coveted wet look in the hair department. This was fab.
Kristen Stewart offered an edgy take on glam in a Roberto Cavalli LBD, equipped with cut outs.
Did you know that The Big Bang Theory star Kunal Nayyar is married to a fashion designer? Neha Kapur took to the Trolls Westwood Premiere in a Fall 2016 White Knot Sash Blouse and Black Flare Trousers from her very own Hensely line:
Neha didn’t iterate on the look book’s styling one bit. And that’s no surprise: she designed it after all!
Rashida Jones is flexing her style prowess with her first-ever jewelry collection! For the momentous occasion, she collaborated with Iconery—a brand incorporating conflict-free diamonds, 3D printing, and more:
Brains behind the brand Ivka Adam and Andrea Linett honed their skills in Silicon Valley, eBay, Lucky, and Michael Kors. Rashida’s assortment with the label features 11 designs.
Of the assortment, Rashida told InStyle, “I love jewelry because it’s an intimate and original expression of who you are.” She continued, “There has been a lot of delicate jewelry and I got a little fatigued. I wanted to do stuff that was bolder and more reminiscent of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. I also miss the symbolism of jewelry because people originally wore it to keep them safe, protect them, and unite them. No time is better than right now to have some kind of unspoken protection and a reminder that we’re all one thing. The ankh and the hamsa both represent protection, unity, and power. We used both of them in the collection.”
Rashida will definitely be sporting these designs on the red carpet in the coming weeks, but we also hope some other celebs opt for the pieces. They’re simple and chic enough to work with most looks!
