Happy Friday! As I’m sure many of you have plans for the weekend, including date night with your boo, today’s what to wear request is quite fitting.
Jahmelia writes, ” Hi Danielle. I would like to request what to wear on a first date. I’m a young, black, professional woman and I haven’t been on a date in 4 years. As I start to venture back onto the dating scene, I would like to be prepared with some cute outfit options. Please help!”
First dates are usually fairly casual unless your date wants to go all out. So I’ve curated a few casual-chic looks to give you some ideas on how to keep it cute with a splash of sexy on date night.
Rock a black long sleeve, lace-up bodysuit with a pair of suede high-waist leggings.
Complete the look with a faux fur-trimmed vest, contrast ankle-strap blade heel pump, black monogram handbag, and sparkling silver jewelry.
Pair distressed skinny jeans with a gold cross-draped satin blouse.
Pull the look together with a cream faux fur fallaway coat, a pair of Saint Laurent Tribute sandals in a mocha hue and a matching handbag.
Opt for winter white hues with an ivory bodysuit paired with skinny jeans and a textured waterfall coat.
Add the finishing touch with a brown leather tote, snakeskin boots, and a wide-brim fedora.
Lastly, keep it cute and casual in a pair of black leather pants and a distressed denim shirt.
Dress up the look with a fur-trimmed biker jacket, an ankle-wrap strappy sandal, and a large monogram shoulder bag.
And that’s it! What do you think of these casual chic date night looks? Which look would you rock on a first date?

Today’s Fashion Bombshell is Tsholo from Botswana:
She writes, “I learned that everything is a self-portrait, even fashion.”
“I’ve come to realize and accept the fact that I am color. I am print vomit.“
“I am clashing personalities, a quirky sense of fashion and humor.“
“I am an exaggeration in my fashion choices and I will continue to dress my world. One hue at a time, two prints a day, with or without a nod from the world.“
