Happy Almost Thanksgiving, Bombers and Bombshells!
Last night, I was graciously invited to the Hawks vs. Pelicans game by my mentor, Kim Blackwell. We had great seats, right next to Kandi and Don Juan!

Gucci Mane was set to perform at half time, so his girlfriend, Keyshia Ka’oir was in the building. I finally got a chance to meet her, she is a sweetheart!

With the sudden influx of musical artists and social media starlets in the past few years, having the ability to stand out among those in the crowd all boils down to talent, personality, and having the right look.  Luckily for this week’s beauty crush, Tinashe, having all three seem to be working in her favor.  Since she burst on the scene with her megahit song, “2 On”, the Kentucky native has been an unstoppable force, recently dropping a successful album, “Nightride”, collaborating with her idol, Britney Spears, and hosting E!’s red carpet at this year’s American Music Awards.  And doing all this while showcasing gorgeous makeup and hair put us on notice.

Not one to go overboard with makeup, Tinashe seems to prefer colors close to her skin tone like soft browns and light pinks, especially on the eyes, lips and cheeks.  Every now and then, though, she vamps things up with a red pout or a sultry smokey eye to liven up her look.

 You tend to see a lot of female artists sport the same hairstyle at just about every red carpet, award show, or performance.  But Tinashe goes against the grain.  Whether she’s giving voluminous, cascading curls, a braided side-ponytail, or looking regal in an African printed headwrap, she takes risks and they usually pay off.  And let’s face it.  Rocking the same look repeatedly can become a little stale.  So, here’s to this week’s beauty crush, Tinashe, for being a fearless risk-taker in both her music and her style.  For more, spy our gallery above for our favorite beauty looks of Tinashe.

 

 

 

 

 

The 2016 Angel Ball was a star-studded affair for an amazing cause, with our favorite social media stars, supermodels, actresses, and media personalities in attendance.

Let’s get into the night’s looks!

Khloe Kardashian definitely looked angelic in a sheer Yousef Al-Jasmi gown with glamorous silver embellishment. Hot!

Ajak Deng flaunted her mile-long stems in a vibrant Sophie Theallet dress.

Christina Milian was a vision in a white Nicole Miller slip dress with a lace train and matching white fur. This was fab!

All-black was also on the agenda for Kourtney Kardashian, who slipped on a strapless, bustier-inspired Balmain beaut with a ruffle-detailed skirt and sultry, sheer panels.

Mom-ager Kris Jenner slipped on a black stunner for red carpet go-to Zuhair Murad. She’s never looked better.

Cindy Bruna looked every bit the supermodel in a white beaded Jonathan Simkhai cutout gown with a low-cut neckline.

A plunging neckline was on the agenda for Shanina Shaik, by way of her long-sleeve J.Mendel gown.

Selenis Leyva went glam in a silver, petal-embroidered Carmen Marc Valvo design.

Alicia Quarles went bold in a colorful, sleeveless look.

Model Jocelyn Chew was the belle of the ball in an embellished tulle Berta ensemble.

The title? The Bomb Life. My Brand. My Terms. It’s part autobiography i.e. (Claire, how did you become a fashion writer?) + tips for those of you out there who would like to start an online platform like Fashion Bomb Daily.

Yesterday, I shot the cover with Derek Blanks. Latasha Wright worked magic on my makeup and Daniel Hawkins styled me in pieces by Marq by Marquette, Theory and more.

We took hundreds of shots and photographed 4 outfits, so this is just a sneak peek. The goal is to have the books ready for Cocktails with Claire New York on December 11th, so wish me luck!
