Tis’ the season! Sequin this, bejeweled that, this season it’s all about embellished pieces. Last week we provided you with a shopping guide to assist you in tackling the trend, now we want to see how you wear it! Let’s check out some submissions, shall we?
Marjorie, @marj022, dazzled in a green sequin skirt and matching kimono. This is the perfect holiday look!
Vanessa, @vanavain, rocked a sequin and sheer duster over her all black ensemble. Love this comfortable, chic look!

Vicrina, I love how you rock your oversized pieces! There’s nothing like a woman who can wear loose fitting clothing and still appear feminine and sexy! Well done!

Happy Monday, folks!
Last week, I decided to head down to Miami for Art Basel! Lots of people come to the Sunshine state to party it up while admiring loads of art and installations. On night one, Ty Hunter, Kelley Carter, Sean Frazier, and I stopped by an exhibit for Jason Harvey’s shoe line called the Art of Yevrah:
Jason Harvey is Steve and Marjorie Harvey’s son, so of course Mrs. Harvey was on hand to support!
Jason creates comfortable, chic, yet reasonably priced heels for the bold fashionista.
Check out a few designs below:
Cute, right? I can’t wait to try.
After perusing the shoes, I took a pic with Jason (shout out to the model in back, giving everlasting life! Turns out she is Jason’s wife Amanda–work!).
And of course posed with Marjorie Harvey herself. She went for chic comfort in a Dolce & Gabbana printed set and flats.
She had the right idea! I look so uncomfortable because my Giuseppe Zanotti’s had my feet BURNING!
It got so bad that I ended up buying some gold sneakers from a Kruzin display to sooth my soles. Note to everyone going to Basel: wear comfortable shoes!
At any rate, images are just pouring in from my fun and sun filled weekend, and we actually spent a lot of time filming. Stay tuned for that on Youtube and for more recaps on TheBombLife.com.
Until then, get your shop on at ArtofYevrah.com.
What do you think?

Back in August 2014, I created the Bomb Blogger feature as a means to highlight up-and-coming fashion enthusiasts. As I reference my very first article, I proclaimed my love for discovering new talent while also emphasizing that I longed to showcase “those who encompass and execute their own style to the highest degree”. Whew! Pretty heavy words, no?
So, we’re going back to the original premise for which this platform is based as we feature Mirian Njoh of Love, Mirian!
In Mirian’s heart-warming ‘About Me’ section, the bombshell writes, “Love, Mirian is all about street fashion and girlpower. It’s about loving one’s self, encouraging others to do the same, and looking good while doing it. It’s about celebrating womanhood, women, and their contributions to fashion, culture, and more. All while also providing an inside look at my life as a West African girl with albinism living in Toronto, Canada and making my mark on the fashion industry.”
“I’m a stylist, writer, photographer, music snob, art nerd, and foodie dripping in #BlackGirlMagic. I love getting cozy at home as much as I love traveling and exploring new places. I started this blog because I wanted a platform to showcase the fashion I love, my creative work, and the work of others whom I admire. This is a place for things I love, made with love. Where fashion, girlpower, and my real life meet in a way that is fun, honest, insightful, and hopefully inspiring.”
The first thing that caught my eye about this gorgeous fashionista was her insane ability to mix eclectic and classic pieces for a refined (yet modern) take on some of our favorite wardrobe essentials. Whether she’s rocking a pair of denim overalls or an eye-catching printed midi dress, Mirian is an absolute boss when it comes to making fashion statements!
Mirian’s personal style unapologetically ranges from ladylike to edgy to avant-garde; however, she’s already mastered the art of allowing her creativity to shine through in every single look. As I sifted through her photos, I was captivated by her effortless cool girl vibes as well as her impeccable literary skills. This Bomb Blogger is living proof that, in a world full of duplicates, staying true to yourself is the perfect accessory.
Slay on, hun!
Want to know more about Mirian Njoh? Well, feel free to follow her dope Instagram account via @MirianNjoh or peruse her motivating personal style blog here! She’s an absolute delight!
Her red and black buffalo-plaid dress is crafted from brushed twill. It features raw edges, a high-low hem, banded collar, long sleeves, drawstring waistband, and a front button placket.
Her classic kicks boast perforated Raf Simons lettering at the sides, contrast logo heel caps, and Velcro® straps.
Cute and casual!

The temps are dropping down here in Houston, but I’m so excited because I can finally pull out my fall and winter essentials. I’ve been so inspired by this season’s trends that it makes it hard to resist layering up for the cooler months. Yet, although sweater weather is in full effect, fashion’s hottest fashionistas continue to set our hearts ablaze with their flawless designer ensembles.
Let’s jump into a few of this week’s best dressed divas!
LaLa Anthony radiated undeniable poise and glamour at the Alvin Ailey Dance Company Opening Gala earlier this week as she donned a sleek low ponytail, a memorable semi-sheer high slit gown by Lebanese designer Shady ZeinEldine and Saint Laurent ankle strap pumps. The stunning piece showcases an ample amount of leg and features a clean silhouette. But, as we all know, LaLa never skimps in the style department. Slay on, hun!
Of course, what Look of the Week post would be complete without an appearance by fashion innovator Lady Gaga? While out and about at the Grand Palais in Paris, the superstar uplifted a gargantuan pair of platform booties, oversized tinted sunnies and a vibrant Saint Laurent Fall 2016 royal blue fur coat. Gaga is absolutely fearless when it comes to rocking more daring designs and she does it oh-so-effortlessly. Take notes, everyone!
Style extraordinaire and Cranes in the Sky songstress Solange Knowles also made a riveting appearance at the Alvin Ailey Dance Company Opening Gala in a cream velvet ruffle midi dress from Paula Knorr’s Spring 2017 collection. Solo accented her dreamy ‘fit with voluminous curls, pointed silver heels and playful matching eye-makeup. Cute!
Fashion rule number one: Never underestimate the power of a little black dress. Style enthusiasts everywhere live by this cardinal sartorial commandment but Zendaya Coleman proved how chic an ebony-hued piece can truly be. The 20-year-old it-girl graced the 30th Annual Footwear News Achievement Awards red carpet in a gorgeous Michael KorsSpring 2017 ruffle hem dress. Zendaya also wore a wavy, vintage-inspired ‘do and classic black suede pumps. Talk about elegance!
Actress Naomie Harris stole the show at the 2016 Gotham Independent Film Awards clad in a gold strapless sequin tunic by Monse, tailored black trousers and black pumps. While we’ve grown to love this style maven’s minimalist style aesthetic, it’s refreshing to see her in an ensemble that’s a bit more bold and eclectic. Sidenote: If you’re currently on the hunt for a New Year’s frock that won’t cost a ton of money, take a cue from Naomie with this dazzling look. I loved every moment of this slayage!
This week we’re raving over bedazzled and embroidered everything! After searching the go-to website for the flashy girl, Nasty Gal, I came across these Jeffrey Campbell Wiser Patent Leather Mule’s:
If we can count on any brand to be BOMB and bedazzled, its Jeffery Campbell!
These $190 patent leather splurge’s feature a flashy gold chain detail which accents the square toe design of the shoe perfectly.
Party in the back!
The chunky block heel is accented by stacked gold an black embellishments.
These stunners can be dressed up for a night out, or dressed down for a day at the office.q
