Happy Monday!
Last night, we had our latest Cocktails with Claire event, guest hosted by Ty Hunter and sponsored by Toyota! Guests convened at the Mezzanine at 55 Broadway to listen to beats by Olivia Dope, eat treats by Chef Jeff, sip Ciroc cocktails, and listen to live music by Gift3d.




As the end of the year draws nigh, we decided to switch things up and acknowledge Bombshells who made serious strides in 2016! So we debuted our first awards ceremony, and honored Teyana Taylor as Breakout Bombshell of the Year, singer Justine Skye as our Beauty Bombshell of the Year, and Tracy Reese as our Bombshell Designer of the Year.

It was magical. The love in the room was palpable.

After toasting to 10 years, 1 million followers, and my new book (yassss!)…

And giving away VIP raffles for cool sculpting by Dr. Michelle Henry, a bag from French Connection, and a trip to Trinidad & Tobago for TNT Fashion Weekend…

Attendees shopped it up with vendors Pink Pebbles Shop, Black Tag Apparel, Tnemnroda, J Loren, E Honey, Haus of Swag, Shop Nu, What Beaches, Kymms Creations, and Shades of Shea. I popped by their booths as well to show love.

Fashion Bomb readers came to slay of course in their holiday ‘fits. Take a look at a few standouts:

For the festivities, I tapped designer Marq by Marquette to fashion a custom jumpsuit with a cape (he also designed the dress I wore for my book cover). My co-host Ty offset the red with a black and white star printed suit from Oppo Suits.

We make a good team, don’t we?
Of course we posed with our honorees and celeb guests including Teyana Taylor, Justine Skye and Draya Michele.


Then snapped tons of pics and selfies with Bombers and Bombshells.


After the main event, our esteemed vendors and select readers and VIPS sat down for dinner.




Wow, what a fun night!
Last night was so exhilerating, I can’t even think straight! Now that the book has launched, I’m going to RELAX before gearing up again for my book tour next year. Houston is already on the map, but who’s got next? Can’t wait to meet all you fly Bombers and Bombshells out there!

The 22nd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards went down tonight with our favorite actors and actresses in attendance. Embellishment, tulle, embroidery, and unexpected silhouettes were all on the style agenda.

Let’s get into the night’s looks!

Kerry Washington looked every bit the star, in an Elie Saab LBD covered in the motif. Hot!

What’s an awards show without Zuhair Murad? Tracee Ellis Ross’s dress was unusual for the brand, but stunning nonetheless.

Janelle Monae’s harlequin print Nicci Hou gown was easily one of the night’s boldest and coolest looks.

Viola Davis slipped on a custom seafoam, sequin-embellished stretch-tulle Michael Kors Collection gown.

Susan Kelechi Watson was a blue dream in a Tadashi Shoji gown with floral embroidery and a plunging neckline. She’s stunning.

Kate Beckinsale was the belle of the ball in an embellished Reem Acra confection.

Jessica Biel followed Kerry’s lead in a long-sleeve, lace panel Elie Saab gown with a plunging neckline.

Kaley Cuoco was pretty in pink in Noon by Noor separates.

Emma Stone sizzled in a Roland Mouret halter gown with cutout detailing and dazzling embellishment. Gorgeous, no?

Ryan Gosling was drool-worthy in Gucci.

Amy Adams was white hot in Atelier Versace. The iconic Italian fashion house makes the best dresses!

Nicole Kidman was daring in a cutout Brandon Maxwell gown with an off-the-shoulder silhouette and front slit. His designs are slowly, but surely becoming my red carpet faves.

Mandy Moore flaunted her curves in a navy Solace London number with a low-cut neckline and cutout accents. Great dress!

Michelle Monaghan dared to bare in a black lace Monique Lhuillier jacket with a contrast white tie and a black sheer maxi skirt.

A chartreuse Topshop stunner was on the agenda for Bryce Dallas Howard. She’s becoming a member of that always flawless set!

Emmy Rossum dazzled in Giorgio Armani.

Hailee Steinfeld made us wish for Spring in a strapless, colorful embroidered Jason Wu gown.

Bella Thorne’s sequin and sheer panel Steven Khalil Couture gown was not for the faint of heart, but she pulled it off effortlessly.

Elie Saab is 3 for 3 tonight! Lily Collins took ice queen to a new level in an embellished lace gown from the brand. She never disappoints!

Another beautiful gown from Brandon Maxwell! Eniko Hart also chose the designer for the evening.

Actress Jennifer Lawrence attended the Passengers photocall in an Altuzarra Spring 2017 Cherry Print Camisole and a Floral Midi Skirt:

In the meantime, let’s get into some of our favorite celebrity looks from the past week.

1) Kelly Rowland in Akris and Ports 1961

Kelly Rowland showed the world how to colorblock the right way as she stunted for the ‘Gram in an ultra-flattering deep green suit by Akris topped off with a Ports 1961 pink coat and a Les Petits Joueurs embellished bag. The beauty behind this look goes way beyond the perfectly paired color palette – the flawless nature of Kelly herself is enough to bring us all to our knees. Shout-out to celebrity stylist Ade Samuel for slaying this entire ‘fit!

2) Gigi Hadid in Versace

Gigi Hadid made a striking appearance at the 2016 British Fashion Awards in a head-turning Atelier Versace Fall 2016 metallic jumpsuit that boasts a graceful train, a wrap neckline and an intricately-crafted bodice. With stylist extraordinaire Monice Rose at the helm of her wardrobe, the 21-year-old supermodel has continued to push the envelope when it comes to personal style. I can’t wait to see her bring it even harder in 2017!

3) Jennifer Hudson in Jolibe Atelier

Now, over the past few years, we’ve watched the inspiring evolution of Jennifer Hudson (on and off the red carpet) and it’s been an absolute delight to witness her blossom into the bombshell she is today. In a recent Instagram shot, the songstress/actress shut it down in a black and blue, semi-sheer embellished number by Joel Jolibe. The glitzy gown also features a clean silhouette, a high neckline and an enviable amount of sparkle. Werk it!

4) Teyana Taylor in Jason Boateng

Gosh! Teyana Taylor is everywhere nowadays, right? After the debut of Kanye West’s gutsy “Fade” music video, this starlet’s world takeover officially commenced. From making waves as she visited The White House to winning endless awards for her insane dance abilities, it’s safe to say that Teyana owned 2016! But, for her VH1 Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night appearance, the gorgeous style maven kept it classy in an emerald green stunner from Jason Boateng’s Spring 2016 collection. In addition, she topped off her frock with bright red lips, bone straight hair and an eclectic camera clutch. Go girl!

5) Chrissy Teigen in Mario Dice

Television personality and model Chrissy Teigen attended the premiere of The Toycracker clad in a lustrous, all-white look from Mario Dice’s Spring 2017 presentation. While there is myth after myth about wearing white post-Labor Day, Chrissy snubbed all fashion critics as she added an effortless holiday twist to her chic look. With matching pointed pumps and a ladylike clutch, she definitely won the evening with this ensemble.

6) Serayah in Laquan Smith

The lovely Serayah was also on hand for the VH1 Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night event as she channeled festive vibes in a merlot high-slit Laquan Smith gown and shimmery gold lace-up sandals. You simply can’t deny the power of showcasing a little leg! Yes, of course, there may be a few side eyes here and there but you better keep on serving, regardless! Serayah’s ‘fit is also a bomb option for any upcoming Christmas soirees or even a steamy date night with the bae. All in all, this piece uplifts the right amount of sophistication while also injecting a touch of sex appeal. Hot!

7) First Lady Michelle Obama in Gucci

And last, but certainly not least, we have out radiant First Lady Michelle Obama nabbing yet another spot in our Look of the Week feature! As she and President Barack Obama waltzed into the 2016 Kennedy Center Honors event, all eyes were glued to the custom Gucci floral crepe gown that includes ¾ sleeves, a timeless off-the-shoulder feature and a breathtaking metallic green and cream print. Sidenote: I hate to see our First Family leave! I really do. But, they have unselfishly served this country for eight flawless years and their impact will forever be imprinted on the ribbons of time. And, we thank them for everything they’ve done.
