We’re still on high from this past weekend’s Cocktails with Claire x Ty Hunter festivities. In honor of another successful event we’re showing love to more amazing CWC vendors!
The holidays are here, which means it’s time to break out the sequins and put together your most festive holiday look. If you have a Christmas party or two marked on your calendar, get some ideas on what to wear with today’s style inspirations request.
Krystal writes, “I know this is last minute, but I am attending my college alumni Christmas party and I don’t have anything to wear. Can you please provide some ideas? Although it is December, I live in Florida so the weather is still nice. Thanks for your help!”
Jazz up a classic black and white look with a pussybow blouse styled with a black sequin midi skirt.
Give the look a festive feel with a cheeky red box clutch, a pair of crystal-embellished satin sandals, chandelier earrings, and the perfect red lip.
Rock a v-neck velvet midi dress with a pair of strappy ankle-lock sandals.
Add a monogram suede shoulder bag with gold tassel detail and gold jewelry for a chic finish.
Opt for a red long-sleeve midi dress for a flirty and festive holiday look.
Complete the look with a python gold-chain shoulder bag, silver metallic ankle-lock sandals, and a pair of dazzling gold chandelier earrings.
Lastly, shimmer in an asymmetric top paired with a green sequin midi skirt.
Dress things up with a pair of embellished Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps, an acrylic box clutch, and gold jewelry.
What do you think of these chic holiday outfit ideas? Which look would you wear to your next holiday soiree?
Though we typically leave it up to you guys to decide the Best of 2016, in this case, the winner is clear. While many designers and brands made significant strides from the runway to the streets, Gucci reigned supreme.
Alessandro Michele has infused the Italian house with a mixture of 70’s swag, 80’s insouciance, and 90’s logo loving. Bags with ‘Gucci’ scrawled on the side in neon graffiti, ‘GG’ Ghost print dresses and skirts, and metallic bombers were all on the sartorial menu for many of our favorite stars.
Handbags decorated with Gucci’s Green, Red, and Black signature stripes were crowd favorites, spied on everyone from Beyonce and Vivica Fox to Marlo Hampton.
Sporty looks bearing the brand’s signature colors were adopted by the well heeled. Stars wore easy cotton tunics, striped socks, and sneakers to a variety of events.
Both men and women got in on the game with patchwork infused, embellished denim jackets, striped shirts, and bee dotted separates.
The dressier looks–print on print suits, seductively sheer frocks, pleated skirts, and pussy bow tied dresses–were the talk of the town. Nina Garcia, Rihanna, Marjorie Harvey, Salma Hayek, Cardi B, Margot Robbie, and even our First Lady Michelle Obama sidled up to their luxurious threads.
Not only was Gucci the most popular brand of the year–it also managed to look great on everyone. Head to toe looks were preferred; and somehow dripping in logos skewed tasteful, not tacky.
With the bag and shoe game on lock, Gucci had a great year. And there’s no reason for them to stop in 2017!
Indulge in our favorite Gucci looks from this year gallery above.
And would you agree that Gucci was the Bomb Brand of 2016?
She writes, “I am a 24 year old fashion designer and fashion stylist building my way from the bottom.”
“I am inspired by chic, clean, bold, sexy, vintage, classic, and comfortable looks and my style shows that.”
“Fashion allows me to have a fun and I love mixing different styles of cultures and eras.”
“It’s important for me to always have on a piece that is a conversation starter as I love socializing and connecting with others, that’s a big part of my style.”

A few weeks ago, Curél sent over their new Curél Hydra Therapy a wet skin moisturizer that you apply after showering, before drying off. It was new and a little scary (!), but I was open to trying it to see how it would work.
I sometimes struggle with keeping my skin hydrated all day, and this seemed like a cool new solution to test out!
Over the course of the next few weeks, I’ll take you along my journey with Curél Hydra Therapy to see how it has changed my daily routine, as I continue to try keeping my legs from drying out or becoming ashy, and avoiding that “greasy” feel often associated with moisturizers. Spoiler alert, it has all changed for the better.
Stay tuned to this space for more updates, but first: Have you ever tried Curél® Hydra Therapy wet skin moisturizer? What did you think? Let me know!

Today’s Bomb Blogger feature comes by way of The Bahamas! Apparently, she’s celebrating the one-year anniversary of her blog, Maven of Style, and she’s an loyal reader of Fashion Bomb Daily! Yes!
So, without further ado, let’s get into the sartorial musings of bombshell Shantera Sanovia!
In Shantera’s uplifting blog welcome, this fearless fashionista proclaims “Fear of failure ruled the day and doubt consumed my every being. My mental capacity couldn’t fathom flourishing in such a creative, colorful whim. But look at me, expressing ideas and thoughts by such a vibrant array of imagery, look at God! My every being now is infiltrated with aromas of competence. I breathe a new kind of air that suppresses those nostalgic memories of angst. That fear has been relinquished and I am no longer intimidated by my own shadow. Thus, I, Shantera-Sanovia, wishes to introduce myself to the world as The Maven of Style; a Bahamian Fashion Consultant, Model, and Style Blogger; based in The Bahamas. Enjoy!“
I was blown away by Shantera’s impeccable ability to combine similar colors for such fluid, monochromatic looks. While she stays to classic staples (such as tailored trousers, versatile two-piece sets and her go-to fur stoles), she’s also not afraid to embrace risky trends that automatically amp up her outfit arsenal to the thrid degree. Shantera is also absolutely brilliant when it comes to slaying in front of the camera! Ya’ll better take notes!
In addition, after speaking wbriefly with this rising style star, she disclosed a few words about how she viewed her unique style and her personal movtivation. Shantera wrote, “My personal style is one that is constantly changing and evolving. Being new to the blogging world and finally being directed in this path has allowed me to express myself so freely that I’m unlocking potential I never knew existed! I have no definitive style, in fact I portray the ultimate all-around girl. My inspiration believe it or not comes from the success of other fashion bloggers and girl bosses. Their drive is certainly an inspiration and increases my drive as well to be just as great or greater!” Yes, positivity! I’m here for it all!
Slay on, hun!

Beauty Naomie Harris hit up the Collateral Beauty New York City Premiere donned in a Rosie Assoulin Spring 2017 Floral Print Strapless Dress:

Happy Monday!
Last night, we had our latest Cocktails with Claire event, guest hosted by Ty Hunter and sponsored by Toyota! Guests convened at the Mezzanine at 55 Broadway to listen to beats by Olivia Dope, eat treats by Chef Jeff, sip Ciroc cocktails, and listen to live music by Gift3d.
As the end of the year draws nigh, we decided to switch things up and acknowledge Bombshells who made serious strides in 2016! So we debuted our first awards ceremony, and honored Teyana Taylor as Breakout Bombshell of the Year, singer Justine Skye as our Beauty Bombshell of the Year, and Tracy Reese as our Bombshell Designer of the Year.
It was magical. The love in the room was palpable.
After toasting to 10 years, 1 million followers, and my new book (yassss!)…
And giving away VIP raffles for cool sculpting by Dr. Michelle Henry, a bag from French Connection, and a trip to Trinidad & Tobago for TNT Fashion Weekend…
Fashion Bomb readers came to slay of course in their holiday ‘fits. Take a look at a few standouts:
WORK!
For the festivities, I tapped designer Marq by Marquette to fashion a custom jumpsuit with a cape (he also designed the dress I wore for my book cover). My co-host Ty offset the red with a black and white star printed suit from Oppo Suits.
Then snapped tons of pics and selfies with Bombers and Bombshells.
After the main event, our esteemed vendors and select readers and VIPS sat down for dinner.
Wow, what a fun night!
Last night was so exhilerating, I can’t even think straight! Now that the book has launched, I’m going to RELAX before gearing up again for my book tour next year. Houston is already on the map, but who’s got next? Can’t wait to meet all you fly Bombers and Bombshells out there!
Indulge in even more pix in the gallery above (scroll alll the way to the top!). If you were able to stop by, I hope you had fun!
Smootches!

The 22nd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards went down tonight with our favorite actors and actresses in attendance. Embellishment, tulle, embroidery, and unexpected silhouettes were all on the style agenda.
Let’s get into the night’s looks!
Kerry Washington looked every bit the star, in an Elie Saab LBD covered in the motif. Hot!
What’s an awards show without Zuhair Murad? Tracee Ellis Ross’s dress was unusual for the brand, but stunning nonetheless.
Janelle Monae’s harlequin print Nicci Hou gown was easily one of the night’s boldest and coolest looks.
Viola Davis slipped on a custom seafoam, sequin-embellished stretch-tulle Michael Kors Collection gown.
Susan Kelechi Watson was a blue dream in a Tadashi Shoji gown with floral embroidery and a plunging neckline. She’s stunning.
Kate Beckinsale was the belle of the ball in an embellished Reem Acra confection.
Jessica Biel followed Kerry’s lead in a long-sleeve, lace panel Elie Saab gown with a plunging neckline.
Kaley Cuoco was pretty in pink in Noon by Noor separates.
Emma Stone sizzled in a Roland Mouret halter gown with cutout detailing and dazzling embellishment. Gorgeous, no?
Ryan Gosling was drool-worthy in Gucci.
Amy Adams was white hot in Atelier Versace. The iconic Italian fashion house makes the best dresses!
Nicole Kidman was daring in a cutout Brandon Maxwell gown with an off-the-shoulder silhouette and front slit. His designs are slowly, but surely becoming my red carpet faves.
Mandy Moore flaunted her curves in a navy Solace London number with a low-cut neckline and cutout accents. Great dress!
Michelle Monaghan dared to bare in a black lace Monique Lhuillier jacket with a contrast white tie and a black sheer maxi skirt.
A chartreuse Topshop stunner was on the agenda for Bryce Dallas Howard. She’s becoming a member of that always flawless set!
Emmy Rossum dazzled in Giorgio Armani.
Hailee Steinfeld made us wish for Spring in a strapless, colorful embroidered Jason Wu gown.
Bella Thorne’s sequin and sheer panel Steven Khalil Couture gown was not for the faint of heart, but she pulled it off effortlessly.
Elie Saab is 3 for 3 tonight! Lily Collins took ice queen to a new level in an embellished lace gown from the brand. She never disappoints!
Another beautiful gown from Brandon Maxwell! Eniko Hart also chose the designer for the evening.
