Happy Monday!
The kind folks at GT Bank invited me to Lagos, Nigeria to teach a Blogging Masterclass as apart of their Fashion Weekend! In addition to offering master classes, GT Bank gives smaller designers the opportunity to sell their wares to the public during the day, and has fashion shows at night.


Day 1 featured designs by Julien Macdonald, Adama Paris, and Lanre de Silva Ayaji.
Take a look at what guests wore to attend the show:

Fashion Entrepreneur and Blogger Zina Anumudu aka @Ozinna wore a Desire 1709 top, F Ruche skirt, and Brian Atwood pumps. Hot!

Her mother Nkiru Anumudu slays all day! She made a statement in Gareth Pugh pants and a Marie Mercia hat.

This stylista uplifted a sheer shirt and jeans with ruffled Rochas sandals.

These ladies slayed the front row in gorgeous Gele head wraps and matching dresses. They were a vision.

This young man’s printed ensemble and sparkly shoes just about made my night.

And actress Rita Dominic made a statement in plaid and ruffles.
As for me, I wore a Rue 107 bralette, a jacket by Midget Giraffe, and jeans by Nigerian brand Le Victoria – Zephan and Co.

Inside, I greeted various VIP’s, including Segun Agbaje, the Managing Director of GTBank.

Chatted it up with stylist Ugo Mozie.

Smiled with designers and actresses, including Lanre de Silva Ayaji and Rita Dominic.

And took pictures and selfies with Fashion Bomb Readers!

Afterwards, our creative director, Kelley Carter, and I attended a reception, where we met up with Ndidi, the owner of Designers Club Lagos.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw took to the Miss Sloane 2016 AFI Fest Premiere in a $7,660 Erdem White and Silver Constance Ruffle Trim Beaded Dress:

Her gauzy silk dress features sequin fish appliqués, a ruffled mock neckline, covered buttons at the left side, three-quarter bell sleeves, princess seams, and a layered ruffle hem.

She’s always stunning.

Another night, another high-fashion event! The 5th Annual Baby2Baby Gala also went down this weekend, with our favorite singers, supermodels, actresses, entrepreneurs, and more in attendance!

Here are the night’s hottest looks!

A teal, silk satin draped ensemble was on the agenda for Kelly Rowland. Flaw-free as usual.

Jessica Alba was the belle of ball in a black tulle Valentino confection. Beautiful!

What’s a gala without a style star in Zuhair Murad? Camila Alves added red lips to her black, lace panel gown from the designer.

Michelle Monaghan made us wish for Spring in a floral embroidered Johanna Ortiz dress. I love this brand’s designs.

Rachel Zoe revealed that her sons picked out her Valentino gown on Instagram! Clearly, great taste runs in the family.

Kristen Bell chose a $1,029 David Koma Black Flower Embroidery A-Line Dress. What’s not to like?

Jenna Dewan Tatum was pretty in pink, clad in a floral-embroidered, strapless Marchesa number.

It was all about embellishment for Camilla Belle in a glitter, feather-accented Monique Lhuillier gown. I loved this!

Another style star in florals! Rachel Bilson opted for a Dolce & Gabbana gown in the classic pattern.

Jaime King was on-trend in a black and cobalt J.Mendel gown with cutout detailing, floral embroidery, and a sheer, swiss dot hem. Gorgeous dress.

Designer extraordinaire Monique Lhuillier was a mint dream in a belted stunner. I would not mind finding this dress in my closet!

Kate Hudson sizzled in a shimmering J.Mendel gown.

More beauties in Valentino! This black and gold piece on Chriselle Lim screamed holiday.

Wiz Khalifa repped for the fellas in a classic black and white ‘fit.

The ever-so-chic Scarlett Johansson made an appearance at the global trailer launch for her new film Ghost in the Shell as she donned an avant-garde lavender selection from Atelier Versace‘s Fall 2016 Couture presentation:

While the same piece was modeled on the runway (with eye-catching footwear and oversized hoop earrings), the model’s version incorporates bolder accessories that allow the dress to shine to its full ability.

Now, I’m a bit of sucker for dramatic accents: cue whimsical detailing and contrasting graphic prints… But, this particular ensemble did nothing for me. Scarlett even looks a little confused about her ‘fit…

Actress & singer Lea Michele was on hand for The Grove’s Christmas with Seth MacFarlane celebration in Los Angeles while wearing a Lela Rose Resort 2017 One Shoulder Gold Embellished Midi Dress and black cutout peep toe heels.

The sophisticated number boasts a banded waist, a clean silhouette and a retro-inspired aesthetic. Pretty chic, no?

This is such a lux piece! And, I believe it was very fitting for the occasion. I adore the way it’s styled on the model (with the gorgeous metallic platforms)!

Celebrity hairstylist and wigologist Tiffany Lamb recognized the need for products that hydrate, moisturize and restore hair follicles.  She teamed with a chemist to create Lucid Bliss, an extensive hair collection that includes moisturizing shampoo, hydrating conditioner, hair refreshener and vitamin E hair drops. 

Created during a time when she lost all inspiration as a hairstylist, Tiffany decided to redirect her passion from hair styling to hair care.  Her products are made with all-natural oils and ingredients that’ll waken your hair follicles and nourish your scalp.

Tiffany tested her products before the launch to repair her own hair.  She documented the results on her Instagram page, @Touched_by_Tiff.  On the brands’ Instagram page, @MyLucidBliss, you can see photos of customers who have used her products and saw amazing results.

The launch was hosted by Naturi Naughton.  The pint-sized actress wore a simple, chic matching crop-top and midi skirt set with black booties.

The events’ attendees came dressed to impress!  Let’s get into some street style:

Tori Elizabeth,  1/2 of the rapidly growing Colored Girl movement, rocked thigh-high caged boots paired with thigh-high socks, black shorts and a maroon shaggy coat.  Cute!

Shawn donned a beat face, wine red loccs and an olive green cape.  Love it!

Obsessed with Malyia’s all-black ensemble that featured a pop of color!  And I’m having some serious hair envy…

Speaking of hair envy, Courtney kept it simple and cute with an ivory knit dress, satin floral booties and big, luscious curls!

Avielle looked stylish in a pair of maroon high-waist pants, black over-the-knee boots and a black fur stole.  Love that hat!

The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ 8th Annual Governors Awards was a star-studded affair! The who’s who of Tinseltown showed up and showed out in sheer frocks, exquisite embroidery, high-fashion designs, statement-making accents, and more.

Let’s see what they wore, shall we?

Lupita Nyong’o beamed in a sheer, fit-and-flare embroidered Elie Saab Couture look. Werk Lupita!

A black snake-embroidered Gucci gown was Ruth Negga’s choice for the evening. Her style is impeccable.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw shimmered in a silver embellished Narciso Rodriguez dress. Simply radiant!

Naomie Harris was clad in classic stripes, choosing a strapless, navy and white Carolina Herrera gown. In a word: beautiful.

Janelle Monae always finds a way to put a gorgeous spin on the classic black and white combo! Her printed gown was perfection. And yes to her Naeem Khan clutch!

Aja Naomi King surely turned a few heads in a sheer, embroidered Marc Jacobs gown.

Ava Duvernay injected a pop of color to her black, short-sleeve embellished gown with magenta lips. She’s always the picture of elegance.

Mahershala Ali repped for the fellas in a timeless, three-piece suit. He’s so handsome!

David Oyelowo always takes risks on the red carpet—with his white, embroidered Dolce & Gabbana suit being one of his boldest looks yet. I think he pulled it off!

Lily Collins beamed in a copper-hued, silk Amanda Wakeley number. Eternal brow goals.

Mommy-to-be Marion Cotillard swaddled her burgeoning baby bump in a lace LBD from Christian Dior.

Kate Beckinsale was white hot and on-trend in an off-the-shoulder Pamella Roland stunner. She’s always flawless! I loved the pearl accents.

A woman can never go wrong with a Monique Lhuillier gown, right? Leslie Mann slipped on a strapless, floral printed design from the designer.

We all know that Michelle Williams is a Louis Vuitton girl, thus she wore a long-sleeve, sheer embellished gown from the iconic French fashion house. Hot!

Erdem makes some of the most gorgeous dresses in the world. Emma Stone’s fluted hem, jacquard piece from the brand was no exception.

Pleats please! Nicole Kidman was daring in a long-sleeve gown with sheer panels from Christopher Kane.

Octavia Spencer was pretty in pink, donning a Tadashi Shoji gown. She’s never looked better.

Pharrell and wife Helen Lasichanch made the case for red carpet flats. They’re the cutest!

Meagan Good and DeVon Franklin are always one of the best looking couples in any building. Their matching, all-black ‘fits were simple, yet chic.

Rebecca Hall’s black, pink, and white Prada bow-accented gown was pretty exceptional.

Michelle Yeoh gave a flash of leg in a yellow draped gown with a plunging, illusion neckline and a thigh-high slit.

Amy Adams served up Grecian goddess in a white and gold Carolina Herrera number.

Hailee Steinfeld dazzled in a white lace Elie Saab gown.
