Lookbook: Andrea Iyamah’s Spring 2017 Collection

Andrea Iyamah presents a Spring collection that will waken your inner girly-girl.  With a line that offers an array of soft, solid pieces, it is inevitable that the collection will elevate your wardrobe to another level.

Let’s see some designs below:

Off the shoulder tops were a theme in this collection.  Whether partnered with a bold silhouette or layered ruffles, each shoulder-bearing piece remains dainty and fun.

Ruffles made quite the statement on each garment.  Some were subtle while others were bold and obvious. My favorite piece is the white ruffled off the shoulder top with the white ruffled peplum skirt.  Each piece can stand alone as separates but when put together, the entire ensemble is perfection.

The designer added the occasional pop of blood wine red to her predominately pastel collection.  This fiery inclusion of color offers a dramatic element that is welcomed.

Stunning!

Show Review: Eudon Choi Fall 2017

Eudon Choi’s Fall 2017 assortment was the ultimate in sophistication. Austrian-Czech architect and minimalism advocate Adolf Loos inspired the designs. One of his most famous quotes? “Be not afraid of being called un-fashionable.” Well, this effort was certainly stylish, but it’s clear Choi wants his woman to be confident and strong.

Suit separates featured voluminous sleeves, glossy gold buttons, double-breasted silhouettes, and cropped trousers. Rises were high-waist and legs were wide. Low-top trainers anchored the looks in peak comfort and functionality.

A puffer was layered over a cropped turtleneck with a button-front shirt and knee-length skirt peeking through, while cozy toppers were languidly thrown over the models’ shoulders—continuing the “why wear our clothes as they were designed” trend that has completely pervaded the industry and street style this season.

The brand hasn’t had too much red carpet traction, but there were certainly enough pieces here that provided the perfect foundation for a red carpet or movie premiere. A LWD with a drop hem and banded neck that connected to its front buttons would be stunning with an orange lip like the one worn on the runway and a forest green, double-breasted duo could absolutely fit into the wardrobe of those menswear-obsessed fashionistas who sport suits at high-fashion events whenever possible.

As a woman who wears trousers daily come Winter, there were so many shapes and variations to choose from here. An olive pair with a pleated back and a chartreuse twosome with a matching knit turtleneck were among my favorites.

Are you feeling the latest from Eudon Choi?

Who Wore it Better? Kim Kardashian vs Wiz Khalifa in Coach’s 1941 Reversible Shearling Fur Coat

Kim Kardashian strutted her stuff in the streets of New York clad in a $2,600 Coach 1941 reversible shearling fur coat.  Wiz Khalifa was spied in the same coat late last year:

Kim wore a $1,875 Vivienne Westwood Bustier top, Adidas track pants, Yeezy booties along with her over sized fur.

Wiz went ultra casual in a pair of Taylor Gang sweatpants, Saint Laurent shades partnered with his coat.

The brown-dyed whole sheepskin shearling features cow leather trimming, side pockets and button closure down the front.

Obviously two very different looks, but if I had to pick one, I’d go for Kim!

You can purchase here for $2,600.
