And that does it!
I hope to meet some of y’all very soon. We receive a TON of Bombshell submission from Houston, so I hope you roll out!
Love + Light,
Kim Kardashian recently flaunted pierced nails via her snapchat and sent the fashion/entertainment world into a frenzy. “Kim Kardashian starts new trend as she tries out pierce nails,” read The Daily Mail headline.
This pre-existing trend dates all the way back to 1998 when Busta Rhymes and Janet Jackson collaborated on the song, “What’s it Gonna Be.” Women went to their neighborhood nail salons and styled their nails with piercings and designs as the trend became more popular.
Now that Kim K West has reinvigorated the trend, are you willing to give them a go?
Are they Hot! or Hmm…?
Just for fun, reminisce with the What’s It Gonna Be Video below:
We have a Bombshell showdown! Kylie and Rih Rih seem to have the same taste! Kylie stepped out in Costa Rica in the same The Dolls House Fashion Fringed Cami Jumpsuit previously spied on Rihanna:
The ladies varied in their color choice. Kylie shined in brilliant white, while Rihanna looked sassy in green.
This jumpsuit is hot fire! I love it on both!
She says, “I would describe my style as an eclectic mix of color, sass with a bit of quirkiness.”

Dee, I love your London style! Your black mules are the bomb, we need deets!

It’s a crazy time in the world right now. Trump has implemented travel bans, thus creating even more division and upset in the world.
Meanwhile, fashion brands like Gucci are pushing for more inclusivity. The hugely popular Italian house released a series of audition tapes for their Pre-Fall 2017 ad campaign, and it seems only black models were invited to the casting call.
Subjects were asked to discuss their spirit animals, and even told to show off their dance moves.
At first glance, the concept seemed cool. In 2016, we dubbed Gucci our Brand of the Year, and it’s great to see a European house make a concerted effort to reflect the diversity of the world and most importantly its customers. The dancing part made me go Hmmm….the whole charade seemed reductive and problematic. What does dancing have to do with their modeling skills?
The SAGs went down tonight and it’s always one of the best red carpets of the year! Chic pants, stripes, bold hues, and curve-hugging silhouettes emerged as the night’s biggest trends.
Check out the must-see looks below:
Kerry Washington smoldered in a white, off-the-shoulder embellished Roberto Cavalli stunner. 2017 fave? Yes, we’re claiming it already.
Taraji P. Henson’s Reem Acra gown should win an award of its own tonight. She completely shut the red carpet down!
Tracee Ellis Ross added some bold tassel earrings to her sleek, black Ulyana Sergeenko button-accented look. Not accustomed to seeing her in black, but I loved this.
Viola Davis was a vision in a strapless structured column dress from Vivienne Westwood’s Couture collection. I hope she wins big tonight!
Janelle Monae was high-fashion perfection, sticking to her black and white signature look in Chanel.
Thandie Newton donned a whimsical Schiaparelli gown for the evening. In a word: breathtaking.
Octavia Spencer and Tadashi Shoji are a sartorial match made in Heaven! Her peplum illusion gown from the brand was simple and chic.
Danielle Brooks was a vision in a white Christian Siriano trouser ensemble. That hair? Absolutely flawless!
Yara Shahidi couldn’t be missed in a colorful striped, lace Naeem Khan number. She’s slaying in the style department this year.
Chrissy Teigen was on-trend in a tuxedo-inspired DSquared2 gown for the occasion. Hot!
Uzo Aduba channeled a retro Hollywood siren in a black and white Elizabeth Kennedy gown with a cascading ruffle accent.
Sofia Vergara has been all about the shorter hemlines lately! I wanted a bit more drama here, but her Zuhair Murad frock was still beautiful.
Jackie Cruz sizzled in a black off-the-shoulder, Celia Kritharioti gown with a thigh-high slit. She’s never looked better!
Ariel Winter was gilded in a sultry gold Mikael D design. Hot!
Vibrant stripes were also on the agenda for Michelle Dockery in Elie Saab. She never disappoints.
Sophia Bush was pretty in pink, slipping on a strapless Marchesa piece in the rosy hue. I’ve never met a gown from the brand that I haven’t loved!
Marchesa was also on the menu for Kaley Cuoco, who served up princess chic in a wispy tulle confection.
Emily Blunt brought some cutouts and sheer panels to the red carpet, by way of a stunning Roberto Cavalli gown.
Kate Hudson chose a black Dior cape design, with sequin embellishment, sheer detailing, and a floral accent for good measure.
Sarah Paulson added a white cape to her black strapless gown, both by Vera Wang.
Natalie Portman is a Dior woman through and through, thus it was no surprise to see her in a voluminous gown from the iconic French fashion house. Her maternity style game is totally on point!
Emma Stone brought the romance in a floral-embroidered Alexander McQueen gown with a sexy lace bodice.
Sparrows adorned Queen Meryl Streep’s white hot Valentino gown.
A crystal-encrusted choker was a nice complement to Amy Adams’s black Brandon Maxwell gown.
Variety threw a celebratory brunch for the SAG Awards nominees, with our favorite actors and actresses in attendance. Florals, simple silhouettes, curve-hugging fits, and lace were all on the style agenda.
Check out the day’s looks in 3…2…1…

Sophia Amoruso was pretty in pink, in a ruffle Gauri and Nainika dress. Simply stunning.
Lake Bell is another expectant mother who absolutely slayed in a Libertine mini dress.
Danielle Brooks sizzled in a sexy, all-black ensemble from Chromat.
A sleek suit was also Zoey Deutch’s choice for the fête—a purple and black pairing from Versace.
Chanel Iman kept it surprisingly pared-down in Elisabetta Franchi separates.
Salma Hayek loves Gucci as much as we all do! The brunette beauty had some fun, slipping on a bold dress from the brand.

Bambi made an appearance at the celebration, by way of Eiza Gonzalez’s Jean Michel de Castelbajac mini.
It was all about stripes for Miranda Kerr in a colorful, embellished neckline midi dress with a thigh-high slit from Carolina Herrera.

Leighton Meester’s David Koma LBD was uplifted with purple stud embellishment. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a David Koma dress that I haven’t liked!
What’s a high-fashion event without a Zuhair Murad look? Julianne Hough slipped on an embellished jumpsuit from the brand for the night. I need this in my closet, stat.
Rachel Zoe is the queen of 70’s chic, thus an all-in-one from her own brand with gilded gold David Webb accessories was on the agenda for the famed stylist. She’s always flawless!

Cutouts, fringe, and the on-trend cold shoulder accented Cara Santana’s statement-making Jonathan Simkhai gown. I love his dresses.

Victoria Justice was the lady in red in a flirty, butterfly-embroidered mini dress in the fiery hue from Kristin Aadnevik. Pretty!
The pullover hoodie is composed of red cotton French terry and features a multicolored snake graphic and logo lettering at the front.
The low-top buffed white leather sneakers feature a round toe, tonal lace-up closure, signature ‘web’ textile striping in red and green at the sides, logo printed in silver at heel counter in green snakeskin and textured rubber sole in white.
Stylish, comfortable look for a basketball game. I can dig it.
