While making an appearance at SiriusXM, Kelly Rowland was a breath of fresh Spring air in an Isabel Garcia $389 Floral Print Jacket and $356 Trousers:
Her pajama-inspired jacket features an allover flower print and functional pockets. Her matching trousers boast a roomy silhouette and functional pockets as well.
She’s slaying this book tour thus far!
If you’re up for the splurge, get Kelly’s jacket here and trousers here.
Happy Wednesday!
I’m still in LA, living it up!
Yesterday, I had the distinct pleasure of stopping by Insecure’s Season 2 Set. I said hey to Issa Rae, Jay Ellis, and director Melina Matsoukas.
I was cheesing from ear to ear because I’m a huge fan of the show! I wasn’t able to take any pix behind the scenes or catch any juicy Season 2 details, but you know they’re going to bring the fire and fun. I was impressed by how big of a production it was–and the attention to detail. I was also just proud to be in the midst of so much brilliance and black girl magic!
Afterwards, I popped by the PLT party (read the recap here).
I actually walked the carpet, but guess I’m not poppin enough to make the final cut just yet!
All good!
Today, I’m interviewing designer Sergio Hudson; tomorrow we are shooting with singer Mario and then having a DSquared2 Party! Then I’m off to San Francisco for Cocktails with Claire.
It’s been a whirlwind, but it’s always a blessing. Keep it locked right here for updates.
Smootches!
We’ve got lots of San Francisco Bombshells, in anticipation of CWC SFO on Saturday!
Today’s submission comes from wardrobe consultant and style influencer Amber:
She says, “I like to think of my style as classic, yet on trend, versatile, and effortlessly chic.”
” I mix high end investment pieces with fast fashion with relative ease.”
“As a wardrobe consultant, I help everyday women elevate their style.”
” With my blog, Cocoa Butter Diaries, I show my readers how they can maximize their wardrobe by remixing pieces they already own to create fabulous looks.”
Simple and chic! I can’t wait to check out your blog!

Are you prepared for the Coachella overload that will take over your Instagram feed this weekend? From great musical performances to wicked festival fashion, the hippie-style concert is definitely the place to be! Over the years our faves have provided us with memorable looks. Let’s get into the 10 times celebrities killed it at Coachella:
Katy Perry provided us with a memorable moment in this vintage-inspired Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2013 bustier and skirt combo.
Rihanna rocked out on the Coachella lawn clad in a KTZ Fall 2015 printed poncho and matching leggings.
Kylie Jenner’s ombre braids and Discount Universe embellished swimsuit was a hot topic during last year’s festival.
Solange Knowles strayed from the typical Coachella gear, opting for a hot pink floral skirt and a white deep v-neck blouse.
Jhené Aiko looked FLAWLESS in her colorful halter, flower crown, destroyed jeans, and gold sandal platforms. She completed her look with a stylish wicker throne.
Kendall and Kylie embodied Coachella fashion with Kendall in an all black ensemble that included a floor-length lace robe and Kylie in a black floral headdress, combat boots and a studded fanny pack.
Karrueche traded in her signature dark tresses for pastel pink hair. She looked trendy in a mesh crop top, cut off shorts and a leather harness. Hot!
Amber Rose showed her softer side in an orange and yellow cut out dress and Aldo’s Ashley sandals.
Well, there you have it! Coachella has provided us with some bomb, fashionable looks! I can’t wait to see what our starlets have in store for us this year! For more festival-style visit our gallery above. What do you think? Did we nail the best Coachella looks?
After the incredible buzz about Louis Vuitton’s collaboration with Supreme, the iconic French fashion house is back at it again, with a partnership that continues its synergy with the art world. For its latest limited accessories assortment, it is working with none other than famed pop artist Jeff Koons.
Inspired by Koons’s “Gazing Ball” series, the names and artworks of Da Vinci, Van Gogh, Titian, Rubens, and Fragonard are transposed onto the house’s timeless silhouettes including the Neverfull, Speedy, Keepall and more. It’s also another first for the brand as their classic LV logo was adapted to include Koons’s initials.
Yayoi Kusama, Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, and Stephen Sprouse are some of the big-name artists Louis Vuitton has worked with in the past, thus the Koons announcement is no surprise. Retailing from $585 to $4,000, our coins will definitely be on the line for this one. They’re certainly way cheaper than an actual piece of art from Koons.
This is also just the first stage of the collaboration between the house and Koons, thus we cannot wait to see what comes next. Mark your calendars for April 28th, as that is when the collection launches. But it will not be available online, so also figure out where your closest Louis Vuitton store is located!
The stars showed up and showed out at the Deadline Emmys Contenders Party on Sunday night. Luxe fabrics, bold hues, flashes of skin, and suiting were on the style agenda for the night’s bevy of fashionable celebs.
Let’s see what they wore!
Tracee Ellis Ross was gilded in a slinky Prabal Gurung look. She’s always flawless!
Sanaa Lathan flaunted her curves in a navy, form-fitting dress with a contrast sheer black neckline. Hot!
It was all about plaid for Yara Shahidi in a $690 Prada Cropped Jacquard Knit Top and $760 Mini Skirt from the iconic Italian fashion house. She’s always the cutest.
Regina King was the lady in red, clad in an off-the-shoulder lace Theia dress in the fiery hue. Pretty!
Gina Rodriguez played on the timeless black and white combo in a ruffle Kate Spade dress.
Leah Remini showed that all-black is far from boring in a flutter-shoulder turtleneck, latex pencil skirt, and strappy sandals. She’s never looked better!
Michelle Monaghan was suited up in Gabriela Hearst for the fête. This was fab.
Queen Sugar’s Dawn Lyen-Gardner also chose a suit—hers was grommet-detailed in black and white.
Updated khaki and utilitarian styles is one of the season’s must-have trends of the moment. We all own a jacket, skirt, or a pair of khaki pants which makes it easy to get in on the trend. And khaki is such a versatile piece that you can wear just about anywhere, just dress it up or dress it down, depending on the occasion. If you’re into the khaki look, I’ve plucked a few of my favorite khaki style inspirations to give you some ideas on how to pull off the trend.
Style a pair of paper bag waist wide-leg khaki pants with a white lace bodysuit.
Complete the look with a double-breasted blazer, a pair of chain-embellished ankle strap sandals, and a quilted olive shoulder bag.
Dress up a twill jumpsuit with a pair of rope and leather ankle-wrap sandals and a quilted olive bag.
Add the finishing touch with a pair of oversized round sunglasses and stylish statement jewelry.
Create a simple city chic look with an off-the-shoulder twill asymmetric dress paired with woven frayed mules.
Keep the look neutral with a Pandora Box bag, threaded beehive drop earrings, mirrored sunglasses, and a sultry red lip for a dash of color.
Rock a casual khaki look with a color-block peplum jacket and black high-waist skinny jeans.
Add a few designer details with a monogram baseball cap, a crisscross leather sandal, top-handle shoulder bag, and aviator sunglasses.
Lastly, pair a one shoulder top with pleated cropped khaki pants.
Work the look with a pair of ring-embellished nude sandals, a bracelet leather crossbody bag, and a white fedora hat.
What do you think of today’s khaki inspired looks? Are you feeling the trend?
I am coming to San Francisco on April 15th for Cocktails with Claire SFO! We are having a panel, special guests, and more, including Branding expert and serial Entrepreneur Tyranny Allen, Reality Starlet Laura Govan, Model and Entrepreneur Nikki blades, and more!:
To celebrate, we are featuring Candice from San Francisco:
She was submitted by her coworkers from BrownGirlBloggers.com who said, “Candice is an entrepreneur and founder of BrownGirlBloggers.com in which she created to promote, encourage, inspire, and connect minority women who blog.”
” She also blogs about her personal life, style, and entrepreneurship on her self-titled blog CandiceVanWye.com and is the host of The Creative Millennial Podcast ; she thinks the best way to stay sane on this journey of living a creative life is to talk with her peers and learn from them! Every week she talks to creatives of all ages and success points about life, work, and love.”
“Candice began her personal blog in 2014 to share her personal style and journey as an entrepreneur. Eventually, she started Brown Girl Bloggers because she found it hard to connect with other minority women bloggers.”
She says, “I was meeting a ton of bloggers but I didn’t have a lot in common with them. I wanted to connect with women like myself and I also wanted to build a community since it seems that Brown Girls are rarely applauded in the blogosphere. I wanted to create a space where we would be featured and promoted.”
Brown Girl Bloggers is now a flourishing community that has resources, information, twitter chats and plans to have live meet ups to support minority bloggers.
So awesome. Can’t wait to check it out!

Fashion Bomb Daily is kickstarting the chain jeans revolution with Rayar Jeans! The distressed, slim fit denim is given a boost with the addition of customizable chains that don’t rust, don’t turn colors, and can fit various sizes.
As a Rayar Jeans ambassador, I can tell you the following things: they’re not the best jeans to wear to go through airport security! But, they always get compliments. People far and wide ask me, “Where did you get those?”
Often imitated, but rarely duplicated, Rayar Jeans are in a class of their own. The chains are sourced from an exclusive retailer in the Middle East, ensuring high quality and lasting shine. It also means that all the ‘look-a-likes’ out there don’t stand a chance.
Wash ’em and wear ’em; they come in a host of colors.
Get yours at RayarJeans.com.
