Splurge: Melanie Brown’s Los Angeles $299 Fame and Partners Floral Print Ruffle Maxi Gown

Melanie Brown was a floral dream while out and about in L.A., clad in a $299 Fame and Partners Print Ruffle Maxi Gown in the classic pattern:

Her floral print maxi dress is crafted from a light georgette. It features thin straps, a v-neckline, cascading ruffles, and spaghetti straps that both crisscross and tie at the back.

Hot!

On the Scene: Fashion Bomb Daily x DSquared2’s Shopping Party on Rodeo Drive Featuring Erica Mena, Lil Mama, Miss Jackson, and More!

Happy Friday, folks!
I just landed in San Francisco–Cocktails with Claire SFO goes down tomorrow from 3-7. Hope to see you there (get your tickets here).
I decided to leave LA with a bang with a popping shopping part at DSquared2 on Rodeo Drive:

Guests sipped champagne, munched on macaroons, and tried on some of DSquared2’s hottest shoes and clothes.

A lot of fabulous people stopped by!

Erica Mena and her well dressed crew looked bomb in black and white.

Stylist Marko the Curator rocked a Hermes silk jacket. I need that!

Miss Jackson is a DSquared2 fan! She kept it cute in a white crop top, white jeans, and a DSquared2 jean jacket.

Amanda Seales kept it poppin in a velvet bodysuit and silver boots.

My co-host, celebrity stylist Prince Deonte, looked hot in an Adamist shirt, Topman jeans, and Balenciaga sneakers.

I laughed it up with celebrity stylist Bryon Javar, who wore a blue plaid shirt.

Torrei Hart came to shop! We grabbed a pic with Lil Mama, who showed off her abs in a black crop top and skirt.
As for me, I wore the brand’s $915 Tiger Flash sweater, leather shorts, and the brand’s lace up embellished sandals.

It was a fun time!

After generating all these fabulous sales, I’m thinking these shopping parties should have a charitable aspect. A portion of the proceeds can go to the Fashion Bomb Daily designers fund to help indie designers scale. What do you think?

Sounds like a cool project to plan for the LA move, no? While I pontificate on that, enjoy a video recap of the proceedings below:

Spring 2017 Style Inspiration: What To Wear To Coachella

It’s festival season and the Coachella vibes are well under way! Whether you’re a flower child, a rocker chick, or a lover of boho chic, get some outfit ideas on what to wear to this weekend’s Coachella festivities with today’s festival inspired style inspirations.

Opt for classic festival flare in an organza lace blouse paired with distressed denim shorts.

Suede ankle boots, a fringe bag, scarf adorned Panama hat, and mixed metal jewelry add a signature festival feel.

Create a 70s chic denim look in a pair of embroidered flared mid-rise jeans and a ruffle off-the-shoulder crop top.

Complete the look with a tassel-trim shoulder bag, braided platform sandals, oversize round-frame sunglasses, and sun burst tassel earrings.

Rock a crochet bikini top dressed with a pair of distressed denim shorts and a paisley embellished kimono.

Style the look with nude gladiator sandals, a fringe suede shoulder bag, rose color frames, and a flower crown headband.

Lastly, rock out in a cropped oversize band tee offset by a ruched-side faux leather mini skirt and a badge embroidered military jacket.

Add the finishing touch with a mini suede tassel shoulder bag, studded black ankle boots, a crystal-embellished bandana choker, and round-frame sunglasses.

What do you think? Are these looks Coachella approved?

Curel Hydra Therapy: Chatting with a Dermatologist

It’s week 4 of working with & testing out Curél Hydra Therapy! And I’m sure a lot of you may have questions about how exactly this whole system works.

I spoke with a dermatologist to get to the bottom of why this new way of application is a great alternative to maintain fabulously flawless, hydrated skin.

I spoke with Dr. Michelle Henry (she makes a cameo in my video here) to discuss:

She said, “Ceramides are the vital building blocks to maintaining your skin’s moisture. They’re naturally present in healthy skin, but when they’re lost, skin becomes dry & damaged. That’s why I recommend Curél® HYDRA THERAPY WET SKIN MOISTURIZER. Its water-activated formula has an Advanced Ceramide Complex which penetrates to the source of dryness and helps to replenish your skin’s ceramide levels and ultimately repair the moisture barrier.”

Well, there you have it!

If you’d like to give Curel a try, visit here. Also, be sure to check out my video below (if you haven’t seen it already!).

Lookbook: Tracy Reese x Gwynnie Bee

First Lady Michelle Obama, Yara Shahidi, Taraji P. Henson, Camila Alves—Tracy Reese is no stranger to designing for powerful young ladies and women. Known for her signature dresses, she’s also been one of the leaders in the industry when it comes to putting real women on the runway, as well as becoming a champion for size inclusivity with her eponymous collection. Her latest endeavor is a collaboration with curvy online clothing brand Gwynnie Bee:

“People have asked for [these sizes for] years, almost since we started doing business at all, and traditional contemporary departments just go from 0 to 12 — it’s always been really frustrating,” Reese told Fashionista in an interview. “This is something I’ve been wanting to do for so long, and with Gwynnie Bee, what was so amazing is their technical expertise and their eye for fit for this range of customer is so spot-on.”

The brand and Reese aligned on a mix of styles that were pulled from Plenty by Tracy Reese Spring 2017, as well as designs that fit perfectly alongside Gwynnie Bee’s collection for the season. And the designer’s next move? Having a myriad of curvy sizes featured on contemporary floors. “I’m so heartened that she can go online with Gwynnie Bee and find our stuff, or come to this fantastic pop-up and try stuff on and get to know the brand,” she exclaimed.

Get the full Tracy Reese x Gwynnie Bee collection here.
