5 Tips to Effectively Advertise on Instagram (Boost Sales and Increase Followers)

We welcome loads of advertisers on Fashion Bomb Daily, increasingly now on Instagram! Over the years, we’ve worked with many brands–some flourish and some flop. Though I’d love to consult every brand that approaches us, who has time? So I thought, why not whip up a quick post with tips?
Read on:
1. Clear, beautiful pictures are key.

Instagram is all about the picture. The most transportive, envy inducing images are the ones that are crystal clear, have bold colors, beautiful people, smiling faces…you get the point.

If you are a website, invest in your images. Hire a professional photographer, professional model, and make sure you are putting forth the absolute best representation of your clothing.

Marketing is everything, especially in fashion.

2. No Writing On Your Pictures

A small watermark is fine. Your whole IG name placed over your items lowers the quality of the image. Of the below, which are you more likely to double tap?

3. Make Sure your Instagram Page is Purely Business

If you are a retailer, customers want to see what you have in store–not selfies, motivational quotes, videos, and/or family pictures. If you have a business page, keep it all business. Create a separate profile for your selfies.

4. Your Website Should Be Easy to Navigate

Along the same vein of your Instagram page, once customers are motivated to make a purchase, don’t make them search too hard to find the promoted item. Place it on the homepage or just make sure your site is easy to click and shop.

5. Invest in a Campaign

Don’t just post one ad and expect an immediate result. Customers need to be exposed to ads several times before the message sticks. I’m sure you will never forget the above picture of Kylie Jenner from Fashion Nova because the brand invested in placing the ad on several platforms at the same time. Fashion Nova invests heavily in marketing, which is why they’re winning right now (hate it or love it).

I have so many more tips! I think I could write a book…or a really long essay…or teach a course! If you have any questions, leave ’em in the comments.
Until then, what do you think?

Claire’s Life: Letoya Luckett’s Album Listening Party + Filming Fashion Bomb TV with Dare to Have Hair!

Happy Thursday!
Life is busy, y’all! We are working on ramping up on our Fashion Bomb TV content, giving you educational and alluring videos that make your life a little more bomb!
Yesterday, we filmed a “How To” video using products from Dare to Have Hair. Dare to Have Hair owner De’Shaun Chancy modeled her product for our cameras, for a half up/half down sew in, styled by Sammy Lacombe.

The end result was beautiful! Can’t wait for you to see!

Because we had a little extra studio time, I also decided to do a video called “10 Ways to Tie a Scarf.” I recently received a Gucci scarf as a gift (I’ve been wearing it on my head quite frequently), but I’ve been struggling to figure out cool ways to wear it. Fashion Bomb Daily Creative Director Kelley Carter is a self professed scarf tying expert, so we decided to film a fun video illustrating the many ways a scarf can enliven any look.

Doesn’t she look great?
At the end, we took a group pic!

After our fun shoot, we zoomed off to Letoya Luckett’s album listening party at 1Oak.

She was the lady in red in an ICB ensemble, Jean Paul Ataker bandau top, and a Dylanlex necklace. Hot!
I grabbed a pix with Sean Frazier, Cheyenne Beam, Ty Hunter, and Kelley Carter before calling it a night!

For the day, I kept it simple (I was running around with no shoes for most of the shoot, acting as director). A monochromatic look always works for me, so I rocked a Zara top and Alice + Olivia high waisted jeans.

Today I’m doing the ultimate closet purge, and adding a few new items to ClairesCloset.net….then hitting the town yet again.
As always, keep it locked here for updated on Claire’s Life:)

It’s All Gucci: Beyonce’s Designer Pregnancy Style

It’s Gucci everywhere and our 2016 Brand of the Year has no visible signs of relinquishing it’s obvious domination in the world of fashion any time soon. Add Beyonce Knowles Carter and her pregnancy with twins to the mix and it’s a contemporary scene of style on steroids — an explosion of color, prints, appliqués and a slew of well placed embellishments and embroidery on brocade, jacquard et al. With the high-wattage brand becoming a staple for the megastar, it’s only obligatory that we delve into the threads and accessories that Queen Bey has recently worn from the popular brand. Let’s go!

During this year’s NBA All Star Weekend, the Carters’ stylishly stole the show court side with Beyonce in a $21,945 Spring 2017 Printed Silk Kimono and adorable Blue Ivy in a  $1,790 Broderie Anglaise Dress, also by the brand.

The tiger print silk duchesse kimono was presented on the men’s Spring Summer 2017 runway. The mix of colors and materials unexpectedly complement animal appliqués. How cute are they?

The Carter clan stepped out to watch Beauty and the Beast, all decked out in Gucci! Queen Bey struck a series of poses in a $26,000 Plissé Gown. The dress accentuated her growing baby bump to perfection. She came to slay!

Not to be outdone, Blue Ivy got her smile on in a $1,850 Gucci Tiered dress. She’s such a doll!

For the casual style win, Jay Z donned a $5,000 L’aveugle par amour Tiger and Floral embroidered denim jacket. Clearly the family that #GucciTogetherSlayTogether (yes, that may actually be a thing).

Of course, the All Night songstress took to Instagram for the occasional pregnancy style photoshoot. To wit, she showed off her burgeoning baby bump in a velvet mini dress, thigh high boots, and a splurge worthy $4,900 Dionysus Medium Embroidered Shoulder Bag:

Her handbag boasts tonal hand-embroidered appliqués depicting a tiger, peacock and leaves. Sleek and chic indeed!

Spotted court side at the LA Clippers vs. Utah Jazz basketball game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Bey kept it fashionably current clad in a $5,450 Gucci Marseille Floral Embroidered Wool Mohair Evening Jacket and a $1,790 Modern Future Embroidered Brocade Drawstring Backpack.

Her Italian made jacket boasts a romantic air with vibrant embroidery along the sleeves and a floral garland appliqué that wraps around the neck and extends down the front. Her statement multicolor drawstring backpack combines ‘Modern Future’ embroidered appliqués, contrast fabrics and the Sylvie Web.

Beyonce celebrated Cinco de Mayo, sans margaritas clad in a Gucci Heritage Flower Bow Jacquard Blazer.

The jacket is updated with a wide lapel and further enhanced by embroidered flowers at each shoulder that wrap around the back neck.

She rounded out her look with a bold pair of $485 Square-frame Acetate Sunglasses. Hot!

I have swooned and may continue swooning over one of her go-to favorites — a $2,700 GG Marmont LOVED embroidered Applique Velvet Handbag. A versatile piece, the stunner was styled for an effortless casual look in the day.

She teamed the standout handbag with a figure-hugging long sleeve LBD by maternity brand Mina Roe and bright silk outerwear. Love it!

She’s giving ALL levels of pregnancy glam and I’m here for it! If you too are loving her picks from the popular brand, shop her fab finds below.

Splurge: Joseline Hernandez’s Instagram Balenciaga Spring 2017 Blue Stretch Velvet Over The Knee Thigh High Boots

It was all about that ‘mommy and daughter’ time for Love & Hip Hop Atlanta’s Joseline Hernandez and her adorable baby Bonnie Bella. To wit, the Puerto Rican princess skewed fierce on Instagram sporting a pair of $1,395 Balenciaga Spring 2017 Blue Stretch Velvet Over The Knee Thigh High Boots:

Her fab footwear debuted during the brand’s Spring 2017 fashion show.

Her lustrous Italian made pull-on style velvet boots feature a lengthening point toe and a self-covered heal measuring 4.25″.

Teamed with an all black ensemble, Ms. Hernandez allowed these show-stoppers to simply shine! Hot!

Gladiator News: Scandal to Come to an End Next Season

Say it ain’t so: Scandal is coming to an end next season! Queen Mother of Thursday Night Television, Shonda Rhimes, revealed the hit TV show will end after Season 7 in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter:

ABC’s Upfronts take place next week and the sad news is expected to be announced there. We can’t imagine living without the drama of Olivia Pope’s fixing, but in a July 2014 interview with THR, she did reveal that the show wouldn’t last forever. “I’ve already decided when Scandal is ending,” she stated. “I think there’s only so much Scandal you can tell satisfactorily. The Fitz-Liv thing can only be told so long and in such a way. It’s not a 10-season or eight-season show. I’ve already decided how long that is and what that’s going to be. I’m not really worried about that.”

Maybe this means there will be a happy ending in the stars for Olitz? Either way, we’re reluctantly counting down the days.
