I’m checking in from St. Louis at the National Urban League Conference. I’ll be signing books this afternoon at 3:30pm, so I hope to see you then!

No-one can compete when it comes to Slay Lo and bodycons. The multifaceted talent showed off her fine form at Alex Rodriguez’s 42nd birthday dinner in a Spring 2018 Bao Tranchi wraparound dress, uplifted by a short, curly hairstyle. Casadei pumps and her favorite Christian Louboutin tote completed her look. The dress is fire, but her body is the perfect canvas for almost anything. Hot would be an understatement!

2. Cara Delevingne in Custom Burberry: 11,155 likes

Cara Delevingne has been serving look after look while promoting her newest movie Valerian. Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn outfitted the British beauty in a custom Burberry suit, accented by a bejeweled shoulder adornment and crystal shoes. Simple, yet chic!

3. Sanaa Lathan in Zimmermann: 11,040 Likes

Sanaa Lathan loves Zimmermann, and it’s not hard to see why. The brand’s flirty pieces, like this Paradiso ruffled romper, are supremely flattering. We wish we could be half this this fly past 40!

4. Monica Brown in Johanna Ortiz: 8,869 likes

Johanna Ortiz is having the best year ever! Celebs have truly sidled up to the brand’s striped, ruffle tops and separates. Monica Brown slipped on the a Johanna Ortiz kimono while performing in Baltimore, and toned the look down with a Balmain shirt, jean shorts, and a Gucci scarf. This is a great casual look!

5. Rihanna in Prada: 8,802 likes

Every week needs a Rihanna moment! The Bajan beauty looked saucy in a Prada Fall 2017 look for the Valerian Premiere in Paris. She always takes risks that pay off, and we love it!

I’m currently in St. Louis, Missouri for the National Urban League Conference!
Yesterday, Ty Hunter and I had a special edition of Cocktails with Claire, where guests sipped on cocktails, munched, and listened to us wax on about the importance of having confidence, stepping out on faith, and banishing fear when it comes to fashion and life.

Nicci Gilbert was our fabulous moderator.

For the occasion, I slipped on a blue printed look by Fe Noel.

After speaking, Ty and I grabbed a pic with our fellow National Urban League participants Emil Wilbekin, Bevy Smith, Kim Bondy, and Sean Frazier.

Then we were off to a Toyota Dinner, honoring Angela Rye and Jeff Johnson. Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m a superfan of Ms. Angela Rye. She’s smart, eloquent, and unafraid to voice her opinion!

We grabbed a pic with Ty Hunter, Sean Frazier, Kim Blackwell, Angela Rye, and Toyota America’s General Manager of Diversity and Inclusion Adrienne Trimble.

Angela Rye looked amazing in a form fitting white dress and matching pumps.

Kim Blackwell sizzled in a Valentino dress and matching Rockstud pumps. I need this outfit!

Jeff Johnson represented for @FashionBombMen in a fitted suit.


Lastly, Stephanie Rawlings Blake, former Mayor of Baltimore, worked a cocktail dress with a lacy back. Bam!
It was a wonderful event. Thank you to Toyota for having me!

Looking forward to going even more places with Toyota this year..

The annual National Urban League Conference is taking place in St. Louis Missouri, with a mission to empower the community and #SaveOurCities. The inspiring event is a great opportunity to network and learn how each member can be of service both locally and nationally.
Toyota invited us to come to cover the event and also uncover the style of a few chic attendees.
Take a look:

Kim Blackwell is an executive we all should aspire to emulate! In addition to owning PMM Agency and being one of the top women in PR and marketing, Ms. Blackwell is always super fly. Yes to this head-to-toe Gucci ensemble!

Inside the convention center, we stopped Gallvin, who stood out in yellow frames and a shaved hairstyle.

Courtney was summery and fresh in a striped crop top, maxi skirt, and platforms.

Most attendees come in business casual looks, as modeled by this young lady in all white and nude pumps.

Lastly, this fly fashionista was stunning in an orange dress and multicolored sandals.

Bombers and Bombshells, this might be the busiest week on the calendar!
This Thursday, join Ty Hunter and I for a special National Urban League Cocktails with Claire in St. Louis, Missouri!
