The sky is the limit if you can achieve it! American Ballet Theatre’s principal ballerina, Misty Copeland, is the new face of Estée Lauder’s fragrance Modern Muse.
According to the New York Times, she is not only the first African-American spokesmodel representing the luxury brand, but she is the first ballerina to do so, as similar roles are usually reserved for supermodels and actresses.
On Monday, July 31st, Estée Lauder’s video campaign launched of the new spokesmodel, and she briefly expressed how she’s impacting the world as a professional ballerina.
Copland said in the campaign video, which she posted on Twitter, “I can only hope that my life inspires other women to change the world; in their own way.”
The paparazzi kept up with Kim Kardashian while she was out and about in Bel Air. The reality tv star was outfitted in a black bandeau top and a $131 Eckhaus Latta Green Cutout Lapped Skirt:
Her curve accenting skirt is crafted from cotton and features a standout cut out a tad below the waist.
The waist band accented stunner also boasts stitching in white along the center seam and hem.

Just when we thought Gabrielle Union couldn’t get anymore fab, she shocks us with a clothing line! The “Being Mary Jane” star designed a collection for New York & Co. that will be sold in stores and online. The self-titled line, Gabrielle Union, is a partnership that will include three collections for Fall and three collections for Spring.
The first collection, launching on August 16th, was inspired by her character on “Being Mary Jane.” The 51-piece capsule includes pants, suits, joggers, dresses and bodysuits. The second part will bow on August 31st, and the third will make its debut in October.
In an interview with WWD, Gabrielle Union said, “There’s got to be a way of creating fly, dope, on-trend, fashion forward pieces for a lower price, and that was my goal.” All pieces are under $100 with the exception of the outerwear. Not only did Union create quality trend pieces, but she made sure to show love to all sizes. The sizes range from 0-20 and XS-XXL.

On Sunday, July 30th, Cocktails With Claire x Ty Hunter took over D.C. at the historical Wonder Bread Factory, and the networking fashion party was nothing less than filled with excitement, wisdom and attendees who came to slay not play.
Guests came in their best summer ready looks, ready to sip, nibble, and receive encouragement from the illustrious panel.
The fabulous fashion extravaganza included a musical set by DJ JFK (@iamjustforkicks), networking, and an enlightened panel discussion on entrepreneurship, fashion, and stepping out on faith with panelists, Ayo Thomas of WOE Magazine, radio show host, Sunni and the City, Malik Jarett of clothing and accessories brand EAT, Tamara Hush Lee of Hush Boutique, and last but not least, Claire and Ty, hosted by radio show host, Chey Parker.
Once their discussion ended, it was time to meet Claire, Ty and the rest of the panelists.
FBD readers lined up for a signed copy of Claire’s book, ‘The Bomb Life,’ while others mingled and posed for photos.
