New York Fashion Week kicked off yesterday and we are showing you street style everyday! Yesterday I caught up with some bombshells who were on their way to attend Texture on the Runway. Every single day we will be catching up with show-goers and event attendees and asking them some Fashion Bomb questions! Here’s who we spotted yesterday.
Street style done right! Youtuber, @neonstylefox bares skin in the most chic form for Texture on the Runway.
What show are you most looking forward to?
I’m definitely looking forward to the Fenty Puma by Rihanna show. I loved her FW 17 Fenty Puma show, so I’m looking forward to SS18 for sure!
Who is your celeb style crush?
Rihanna, of course! As a fellow Caribbean, I resonate with Rih and her style because she wears and does what she wants.
Hello natural! This beauty, @youhadmeatbacon stopped traffic with her overflowing ‘fro and not to mention her metallic jacket.
Describe your style in 5 words.
Fearless. Groovy. Forward. Striking. Precise.
What do you love about fashion week? What do you hate?
I love seeing how others express themselves unapologetically. The one thing I hate about fashion week would have to be the lack of representation.
Female AF! @Monroesteele walked the streets of New York with the coolest mules to dress up her look.
Who are you wearing? Why did you decide to wear that today?
I’m wearing an ASOS top and skirt, N° 21 mules and a vintage bag. I just love this tee because it’s dope. Screen print tees are in and the skirt is a favorite too, but these are my favorite shoes at the moment and I wanted them to shine so I kind of toned everything else down.
What makes your Fashion Bomb?
I think just being myself and being comfortable in my skin makes me Fashion Bomb!
Blogger, @tylauren kept her look chic and simple and dressed it up with a plaid red blazer. Definitely a Fall necessity!
What is your best fashion week memory? What made it so special?
My best fashion week memory was in 2011 when I met Tyra Banks because she’s such an inspiring business woman.
What do you spend the most on when you go shopping?
I spend the most on shoes and coats because I want them to last me as long as possible.
Isn’t this best friend duo so glam?! @Theregoesnicandash are ready for Fall in a leather dress and a nude and khaki looks. I can’t get enough of their hair colors!
What is your best fashion week memory? What made it so special?
Our best fashion week memory is from February 2016 when we met at the Texture on the runway event. It was our first time meeting in person after following each other on social media.
What do you love about fashion week? What do you hate?
We love the fashion, make up and hair inspiration that comes with fashion week. These events also give us a chance to meet with other creatives like ourselves. We have the traffic that comes with fashion week and would love to see more hair diversity on runways.
Yes! @Curlsandcouture is holding on to the last few days of Summer with this two-piece set and I am here for it!
What style advice would you give to your younger self?
The style advice I would give my younger self is don’t be afraid to take chances. I’ve worn some amazing pieces that I probably would have overlooked if I wasn’t willing to take the chance and give it a try.
What show are you looking forward to?
I’m definitely looking forward to the Jeremy Scott show. He makes a statement and I can’t wait to see the collection.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a blazer dress and sneakers worn so effortlessly before! Bombshell @rock_yo_rizos was out and about slaying these streets with the luxury of comfort.
What do you spend most on when you go shopping?
Jackets and sneakers!
What style advice would you give to your younger self?
Don’t be in such a rush to grow up. Being a kid is so much fun!
Prints and strappy sandals! Yes, please! Youtuber, @_kaicealea attended Texture on the Runway with a printed 2-piece with the cutest bag and shoes.
What do you spend the most on when you go shopping?
I spend the most on cosmetics, specifically skincare!
Who is your celeb crush?
My celeb crush is Karrueche. She is so versatile and embraces her petite body in the most confident and beautiful way.
These pants are giving me life! Bombshell, @devrenee turned heads at Texture on the Runway with wide-leg pants and a crop top.
Who are you wearing? Why did you decide to wear that today?
I’m wearing Urban Outfitters and Fashion Nova! I decided to wear this [specifically the pants] because I want to turn heads. fashion Week is all about popping out with looks people have never seen before.
Describe your style in 5 words.
My style is a wide range, but if I had to describe it in 5 words I’d say tomboy, edgy, chic, carefree and sexy at times. I love to show skin!
If you didn’t know, red is trending for Fall and blogger, @micaelaverrelien definitely shows us why! She attended shows in a red pantsuit that looks amazing on that melanin!
What show are you looking forward to?
Concept Korea because they are one of my favorite designers. They create with passion each season. The styles are clean, chic and more than enough to make a girl want to take out her check book!
What makes your Fashion Bomb?
What makes my Fashion Bomb is that I love to take risks with my fashion. I do my best to stay up to date with trends, but I chose not to follow them but to dress how I am feeling that day.
Who was your favorite bombshell? More street style coming! See more pics below.
Today’s Bombshell is definitely street style ready. Behold Vernise from New York City.

Happy First Day of New York Fashion Week!
We are kicking things off with a bang with our photo shoot of Karrueche Tran, photographed by Lance Gross for Fashion Bomb Daily and Revolt!
Back in July, Fashion Bomb Daily partnered up with the multicultural, millenial music channel to create original content. This is the fruit of our first collaboration!
Creative director and stylist Bryon Javar, devised looks inspired by Karrueche’s character Virginia from Claws.
Our subject models pieces by Marina Hoermanseder, Marc Jacobs, Haider Ackermann, Bishme Cromartie, and more, accessorized by heels by Manolo Blahnik, Hanifa, and Christian Louboutin, and jewelry by Melody Ehsani, Le Vian, and Djula.
Chris Dylan worked magic on her tresses using Dare to Have Hair. Alexander Echeverri gave our Bombshell a clean, effortless makeup look.
Happy Day 1 of New York Fashion Week!
Last night, I kicked the festivities off with a bang with a pop by Lala Anthony’s meet n greet by Lord & Taylor, followed by a stop by Harlem’s Fashion Row’s 10th Anniversary event at La Marina.
Notice anything different?
Yes, to commemorate a new era of Fashion Bomb Daily and a new chapter in the Claire Sulmers book, I decided to switch my hair color from its signature blond to a deeper red. Fashion is ever changing and evolving, and who am I to stay in a box?
After congratulating Lala on her collection (she was wearing a Faith Connexion jacket, jeans from her line with Lord & Taylor, and Alaia shoes)…
… the Fashion Bomb Daily x Revolt team and I made our way uptown for Harlem’s Fashion Row’s event.
I was the proud recipient of HFR’s New Media Award!
In my speech, I spoke of how much I’ve always loved fashion, but always felt like an outsider. Thanks to the digital landscape and social media, I have been able to move from an outsider to an insider. Won’t he do it?
After my speech, I sat down next to my fellow award recipient, Spike Lee, who received HFR’s 360 Icon award.
The show was fabulous, and featured designers I know and love like Fe Noel, Kimberly Goldson, Krashae, Undra Duncan, and more. Show review to come!
Afterwards, I caught up with Misa Hylton, Emil Wilbekin, Tai Beauchamp, Harriette Cole, and more.
This Fashion Week, I’ll be traveling with the Revolt TV crew, capturing videos and content for their website and channel. If you see me out and about, be sure to say hi!
Here’s to a game changing NYFW.

Happy New York Fashion Week! September is the month we celebrate fashion, but that doesn’t exclude our excitement for beauty. All Summer long we have been waiting for some of the biggest beauty releases. The time has finally come! We put together a list of all the bomb beauty collaborations and launches for Fall.
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna
Bad Gal RiRi is a Jill-of-all-trades! On September 8th she is debuting her first makeup collection. The line includes 40 shades of foundation, glittery eyeshadows, highlighters and lip glosses. Wait, it gets better! Rihanna just announced that all products are #CrueltyFree. I see this selling out in minutes! Set your alarms for 12AM PT on September 8. It will be available on FentyBeauty.com and in Sephora and Harvey Nichols stores.
MAC is no stranger to collaborations, and for Fall they tapped Nicki Minaj again for a capsule collection, but this time it’s less bold. #NickiNudes launches on September 21st including 2 nude lipsticks. They retail for $18. According to Nicki, this line is just to hold fans over until her big announcement with MAC in 2018. We can’t wait to see what it is! Until then, you’ll be able to shop these lipsticks in stores and on maccosmetics.com.
Pat McGrath
Dubbed the most influential make-up artist, Pat McGrath is launching a permanent line this fall. With 40 shades of lipstick, 11 shades of lip liner, 5 shades of eyeliner, a mascara and an eyeshadow palette, McGrath is sure to have you recreating runway looks. The collection will be released on patmcgrath.com on September 16th and it will hit Sephora shelves on October 6th. Prices range from $25-$125.
ASOS Face + Body
Yes, you read that right—ASOS! The online retailer announced earlier this week that they are launching ASOS Face + Body. The collection features highlighter sticks, mascaras, blush, lip glosses and more. The best part? Nothing retails over $15! You can start shopping on the launch date—September 20th on ASOS.com.
Balmain x L’Oréal
When two top Parisian brands collab, what happens? Greatness! Balmain and L’Oréal have teamed up for a capsule collection with 12 couture lipsticks. Creative Director of Balmain, Olivier Rousteing, said “We offer shades that speak as much to our own personality as to your natural skin tone.” With matte hues like green, blue and purple the lipsticks are priced just under $18. They will be available in drugstores after the release later this month during Paris Fashion Week. Or, you can purchase them here on HarveyNichols.com.
Taraji P. Henson X MAC
Not only did MAC team up with Nicki Minaj for a collection this Fall, but they also teamed up with Empire’s Taraji P. Henson. She serves major Diana Ross vibes in her campaign with them for her second line. The Viva Glam lipsticks and lip glasses are bronze and golden. Perfect for the Fall! You can shop these in store and online starting September 7 for $17. All of the proceeds are going towards the MAC AIDS fund. Be fast, because the capsule is only available through February 2018.
Start saving those coins now! Which one are you most excited for?
Before NYFW and during the glitz and glamour of the Venice Film Festival, stars flocked to London for the 2017 GQ Men of the Year Awards. The fellas repped hard in the style department, though the ladies had some statement-making looks as well.
Check out the nights’ ensembles below:
Rita Ora brought the drama in a retro-inspired, fishnet veil hat, a sultry take on the classic tux, and purple metallic boots from Alexandre Vauthier Couture. Hot!
Idris Elba was dapper in an expertly-tailored suit. He’s always swoon-worthy.
Jourdan Dunn looked every bit the supermodel in a strapless, black velvet Jean Paul Gaultier Couture gown from the house’s Fall 2013 collection. Simply gorgeous.
Winnie Harlow continued her love for all things sheer in a Julien Macdonald Fall 2017 chainmail halter design with a sexy slit.
Maya Jama shimmered and sparkled in a Barrus London silver and black mini dress. Stunning woman.
Selah Marley beamed in BOSS.
Skepta uplifted his classic black and white Burberry ‘fit with round shades and a floral embellished brooch. Crushing so hard on this man!
Tinie Tempah went bold in a purple and black jacquard Dolce & Gabbana pairing. His style is impeccable.
It was nice to see Vanessa White on the red carpet! Her pink eyes added a pop of color to her head-turning Galia Lahav gown.
Jared Leto stayed true to Gucci, clad in a plaid suit from the iconic Italian fashion house with floral embroidered lapels.
Stormzy is a streetwear king, but he cleans up nice too! His navy Burberry suit was so fresh and so clean.
Jaden Smith accessorized with a bow tie and that coveted Supreme x Louis Vuitton red leather crossbody. I want this bag…
Adwoa Aboah’s black BOSS gown was the perfect blend of hard and soft elements with a leather bustier and tulle skirt.
Roxie Nafousi was the lady in red, slipping on a bias cut slip-inspired gown with a thigh-high slit in the fiery hue. I love her style!
Charli XCX flaunted her curves in a Cushnie et Ochs dress that fit her like a glove. Fab, no?
Poppy Delevingne served up princess chic in Reem Acra. Gorgeous dress!
