Tom Ford’s list of fans is literal miles-long and they all showed up to fête his Spring 2018 show. Our favorite style stars and supermodels were in attendance, along with a handful of icons.
Let’s get into the night’s looks!
Kim Kardashian flaunted her curves (and her new platinum tresses) in a strapless latex LBD. Hot!
Ciara is back! A floor-grazing black gown with an attached leather scarf was her choice for the evening. I cannot wait to see what she wears for the rest of Fashion Month.
A plunging, belted top, leather trousers, and illusion pumps were on the style agenda for Lori Harvey.
Pat Cleveland schooled us all in a playful black and white frock. Legendary!
June Ambrose shimmered and sparkled in a high-neck sequin gown. Her style is always impeccable.
Leave it to an icon like Chaka Khan to accessorize with a fan bearing her name.
Cleo Wade layered it on in a black beret, floral embroidered cropped sweater layered over a classic button-front, white shirt, destructed denim, and silver platforms.
Doutzen Kroes was the lady in red, slipping on a high-neck red gown with a thigh-high slit and sheer inset. Simply stunning.
Russell Westbrook was dapper in a textured navy sport coat with contrast black lapels.
Poppy Delevingne skewed sultry in a strapless LBD with a sexy keyhole. Great dress!
Hannah Bronfman kept it simple yet chic in a curve-hugging LBD.
Philipp Plein goes big or goes home!
Last year, his name illuminated the New York Public Library, and his fashion show included performances by Nas, and appearances by Young Thug, Fetty Wap, and Prison Bae. This year, he upped the ante with a chaotic spectacle at Hammerstein Ballroom. Thousands of attendees pushed to get into the cavernous venue, before sitting down and taking in a hodge podge of entertaining tidbits, which kicked off with a strip tease by Dita Von Teese and culminated in a performance by Atlanta’s very own Future Hendrix. 21 Savage, Rae Sremmund, and Cordell Broadus walked the runway, while Teyana Taylor gyrated down the runway in a thong lacy bodysuit.
Was it simultaneously titllitating and entertaining? Yes! I love Future and stan for Teyana, so was happy to see so many people I admire share one stage.
But sadly, I can’t remember the clothes at all. Not one stitch.
I saw some black, some lace, maybe a few corseted contraptions. But the clothes were seriously overshadowed by the concert.
Several other editors in the audience shared the same sentiment: Great show, but where’s the fashion? @BevySmith summed it up perfectly, writing on Instagram, “There’s no denying that Harlem goddess #teyanataylor is the best thing that came down the #phillipplein ! All the press can talk about are the amazing performers that Plein spent 7 figures on to get them to attend & perform at his #EmperorsNewClothes spectacle! Very little is being said about the clothes, perhaps because as USUAL they are knockoffs of 90’s Versus by Versace! To Nicki, Future, Dita, Rae Sremmurd & Teyana, I know y’all backed up the Brinks truck! #GetMoney #WasItAConcertOrAFashionShow #WeveSeenPleinBeforeAndBetterExecuted #KnockItOffWithTheObviKnockOffs”
Day 2 at New York Fashion Week exploded with loads of street style, expertly captured by photographer David Nyanzi. Without further ado, behold the best sidewalk chic from #NYFW:
It’s all Gucci! It wouldn’t be fashion week without at least one Gucci spotting. This young fashionista worked the brand’s yellow logo sweatshirt and monogram bag, further accessorizing with thigh high boots and fun shades. Work!
Sisters Cipriana Quann and TK Wonder are always sartorial visions. Mixed prints and big hair came together to create eye catching looks.
Priya Shukla is one of the chicest women in the industry! The PR direction worked a black and denim color palette and Chanel shoes.
Fun fringed shoes beautifully accented a striped top and jeans.
Yes! To off duty model style. I love these ruffled pants, and her cropped tee was a nice touch.
Lastly, Jan Quammie is a street style star. She manages to look both comfortable and fly, and she did just that in Pharrell x Adidds Human Race sneakers and an artfully constructed skirt. This woman just gets it.
That’s the best from Day 2!
Who had your favorite look?

Happy Friday, all! Yesterday was the commencement of fashion mayhem in the concrete jungle aka Fashion Week. And thus, it’s another fashion filled week. Without further ado, here’s who you thought had the best look based on your likes on Instagram:
First, we’ve got Cardi B snatching the #1 spot for the second week in a row. I must admit, when I came across this on my timeline, I had to do a double take. How regal does she look in this vintage brocade dress topped off with an elegant pair of YSL sandals? She strutted her stuff on the streets of New York sporting a wet and wavy ‘do. Cardi came through with this look!
Lala, hit the streets of New York in an Off-White body suit and sweats get up. Typically folks scan a look from top to bottom, however, I beg to differ with this one. First thing that caught my attention were the snazzy boots she paired with an otherwise casual ‘fit. Something is also to be said about Virgil Abloh’s take on athleisure wear and the ability to dress it up or down.
Our forever First Lady, Michelle Obama, dropped off daughter, Malia, to her first year at Harvard and jetted to vacation in Spain. Whether on duty or off, Michelle Obama knows how to turn heads. Leave it to her to give us some leg action in the midst of yachting in Europe all the while fashionable in a Mara Hoffman ensemble. I think it’s safe to say the Obama’s put a whole new meaning to the popular mantra, “Work Hard, Play Hard”!
‘Yonce’s birthday weekend synced perfectly with the Made In America Festival in Philadelphia, where hubby Jay-Z performed. I love when outfits are not too match-matchy, but rather play on other colors within the look. It was only right Bey wore a Houston Rockets jersey to represent for her hometown on the heels of hurricane Harvey.
Though she wore a bright yellow jacket by Fengchen Weng, the look was brought together with perfectly hued accessories like her red Illesteva sunglasses that complimented the aesthetics of her look. Not only was this practical festival attire, it was also great for a chill birthday weekend.
Monica served cool mom vibes as she posted up with her son in a hot pair of Peria Robertson overalls. As evidenced in our recent Instagram posts, Monica knows how to transition from dressy to casual with ease. She’s proven to be quite the rock mom in the absence of her husband who is overseas.
Happy 2nd day of New York Fashion Week!
For Day 1, I busied myself capturing street chic outside Skylight Clarkson for Revolt TV:
I stopped well dressed passerby and asked them a series of questions about their style, and what they’re excited for for New York Fashion Week.
Then it was time for NaturallyCurly’s Texture On The Runway powered by Sally Beauty! I snapped some Street Style before the festivities with bloggers @daynabolden @andinsommary @theondiaj and @rashida.banks:
Sponsored by Sally Beauty, the show highlighted how curly and coiled hair can act as the perfect statement piece to a fashionable look. Cantu Beauty, Shea Moisture, Carol’s Daughter, and more illustrated how their products can help achieve show stopping hairstyles.
Afterwards, I headed to Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty after party at Up & Down. Lots of fly Bombshells were in attendance, including Kendall Jenner, Joan Smalls, Justine Skye, and so many more. I didn’t take any pictures, sadly, so you’ll have to take my word for it:)
For day 1, I wore a jacket by Cult de Jour and a Kareen Singh skirt.
Stay tuned for more, this is gonna be a busy season!

New York Fashion Week kicked off yesterday and we are showing you street style everyday! Yesterday I caught up with some bombshells who were on their way to attend Texture on the Runway. Every single day we will be catching up with show-goers and event attendees and asking them some Fashion Bomb questions! Here’s who we spotted yesterday.
Street style done right! Youtuber, @neonstylefox bares skin in the most chic form for Texture on the Runway.
What show are you most looking forward to?
I’m definitely looking forward to the Fenty Puma by Rihanna show. I loved her FW 17 Fenty Puma show, so I’m looking forward to SS18 for sure!
Who is your celeb style crush?
Rihanna, of course! As a fellow Caribbean, I resonate with Rih and her style because she wears and does what she wants.
Hello natural! This beauty, @youhadmeatbacon stopped traffic with her overflowing ‘fro and not to mention her metallic jacket.
Describe your style in 5 words.
Fearless. Groovy. Forward. Striking. Precise.
What do you love about fashion week? What do you hate?
I love seeing how others express themselves unapologetically. The one thing I hate about fashion week would have to be the lack of representation.
Female AF! @Monroesteele walked the streets of New York with the coolest mules to dress up her look.
Who are you wearing? Why did you decide to wear that today?
I’m wearing an ASOS top and skirt, N° 21 mules and a vintage bag. I just love this tee because it’s dope. Screen print tees are in and the skirt is a favorite too, but these are my favorite shoes at the moment and I wanted them to shine so I kind of toned everything else down.
What makes your Fashion Bomb?
I think just being myself and being comfortable in my skin makes me Fashion Bomb!
Blogger, @tylauren kept her look chic and simple and dressed it up with a plaid red blazer. Definitely a Fall necessity!
What is your best fashion week memory? What made it so special?
My best fashion week memory was in 2011 when I met Tyra Banks because she’s such an inspiring business woman.
What do you spend the most on when you go shopping?
I spend the most on shoes and coats because I want them to last me as long as possible.
Isn’t this best friend duo so glam?! @Theregoesnicandash are ready for Fall in a leather dress and a nude and khaki looks. I can’t get enough of their hair colors!
What is your best fashion week memory? What made it so special?
Our best fashion week memory is from February 2016 when we met at the Texture on the runway event. It was our first time meeting in person after following each other on social media.
What do you love about fashion week? What do you hate?
We love the fashion, make up and hair inspiration that comes with fashion week. These events also give us a chance to meet with other creatives like ourselves. We have the traffic that comes with fashion week and would love to see more hair diversity on runways.
Yes! @Curlsandcouture is holding on to the last few days of Summer with this two-piece set and I am here for it!
What style advice would you give to your younger self?
The style advice I would give my younger self is don’t be afraid to take chances. I’ve worn some amazing pieces that I probably would have overlooked if I wasn’t willing to take the chance and give it a try.
What show are you looking forward to?
I’m definitely looking forward to the Jeremy Scott show. He makes a statement and I can’t wait to see the collection.

What do you spend most on when you go shopping?
Jackets and sneakers!
What style advice would you give to your younger self?
Don’t be in such a rush to grow up. Being a kid is so much fun!
Prints and strappy sandals! Yes, please! Youtuber, @_kaicealea attended Texture on the Runway with a printed 2-piece with the cutest bag and shoes.
What do you spend the most on when you go shopping?
I spend the most on cosmetics, specifically skincare!
Who is your celeb crush?
My celeb crush is Karrueche. She is so versatile and embraces her petite body in the most confident and beautiful way.
These pants are giving me life! Bombshell, @devrenee turned heads at Texture on the Runway with wide-leg pants and a crop top.
Who are you wearing? Why did you decide to wear that today?
I’m wearing Urban Outfitters and Fashion Nova! I decided to wear this [specifically the pants] because I want to turn heads. fashion Week is all about popping out with looks people have never seen before.
Describe your style in 5 words.
My style is a wide range, but if I had to describe it in 5 words I’d say tomboy, edgy, chic, carefree and sexy at times. I love to show skin!
If you didn’t know, red is trending for Fall and blogger, @micaelaverrelien definitely shows us why! She attended shows in a red pantsuit that looks amazing on that melanin!
What show are you looking forward to?
Concept Korea because they are one of my favorite designers. They create with passion each season. The styles are clean, chic and more than enough to make a girl want to take out her check book!
What makes your Fashion Bomb?
What makes my Fashion Bomb is that I love to take risks with my fashion. I do my best to stay up to date with trends, but I chose not to follow them but to dress how I am feeling that day.
Who was your favorite bombshell? More street style coming! See more pics below.
