Karl Lagerfeld is a fashion icon. Juggling his own line, heading Chanel’s ready-to-wear and, of course working alongside Silvia Fendi for Fendi’s ready-to-wear collections, Mr.Lagerfeld has a lot on his plate. He showed no signs of distress for his Spring 2018 collection for Fendi, with a collection featuring boxy silhouettes, tons of stripes, plaid, sheer pieces, and leather.
Models carried monogramed bags down the runway in true Fendi tradition. The collection, inspired by “Caribbean flavors,” was daring and creative. The layering and mix of prints confirmed that the maximalist trend is here to stay. Models including Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, and Kendall Jenner channelled the Caribbean-inspired line by sporting bright blue hair on the runway.
It wouldn’t be a Fendi show without a little bit of fur. Fabulous pelts cascaded down the runway, including a few colorful option, and a monogram worn over plaids.
It’s safe to say Fendi’s Spring 2018 collection has us awaiting next Spring for these tropic chic looks.
G-Star Raw is known for their unwashed denim collections. Now they’ve just unveiled 25 new vibrant styles curated by co-owner Pharrell Williams.
On September 13th During New York Fashion Week G-Star Mat hosted a denim event for the public to get a first glimpse at the G-Star Elwood X25 3D styles. The new styles will be available for purchase on October 16th both online and in-store.
The space was decked out in a laundr0mat inspired theme, which gave aspiring artists, models, designers, and up-and-comers a glimpse into the G-Star lifestyle. The 25 new styles weren’t being washed, but the layout gave off that illusion, as you’d see prints of denim in washing machines, on clothespins, in laundry baskets, and more.
There are many prints and fits, such as the Tiger Print, Pink Chef’s Check Print, Earthtrace Dark Plum, boyfriend jeans, mid skinny fit, super slim, tapered, and more. Price points range between $170-$190.
Celebrities such as Dave East, Desiigner, Joey Badass, Jaden Smith, D.R.A.M., and Tammy Rivera showed face to support Pharrell and his new work of art.

This week we are showing lots of love to London Bombshells. Especially if you attended Cocktails With Claire in London!
Today’s Bombshell attended Cocktails with Claire in London. Behold Yetunde from Manchester.
“I have noticed that the fashion and beauty business is not being represented enough by women over 40. I think this is an amazing age range to target as women at this age know who they are and what they want and they still want to look fabulous and they have the income to spend to achieve this”.
“I have been asked by a lot of people about the makeup I use and techniques, and Clothes I wear. That is why I have started my Youtube channel Yetunde Mama Yets Oduwole and soon to launch my blog.”

Fab! Love how you mix and match solid colors with prints!

Inspired by legends such as Elton John and Bob Mackie it’s no wonder why Gucci’s 2018 Spring Collection was a blast from the past. Glaring midi dresses, snazzy quilted skirts and flagrant neckwear lit up the runway during this highly anticipated debut.
Gucci imprinted rubber hand bags, crafted animal head rings and lime leather dresses all made worthy appearances across the neon catwalk. The 70s and 80s mashups were unquestionably blatant with puffed shoulder tops, classic printed fanny packs and flashy disco ball knitwear.
As a lover of the past viewing this exuberant collection was a brief moment of bliss however a studious crystal embellished Bugs Bunny vest won me over. These bold animated pieces are fashioned for the likes of ASAP Rocky a no brainer or a Katy Perry both who are influenced by this era.
Are you feeling this presentation? What are your thoughts on Gucci’s 2018 latest spring collection?
A week after CoverGirl announced that Issa Rae would be joining their team, they dropped more Black Girl Magic on us! Ayesha Curry, a rock mom, bomb wife, Food Network star and entrepreneur, will be the cosmetics brand’s latest ambassadress.
CoverGirl announced the news on Instagram this morning saying, “Told you we had something cookin’ COVERGIRLS… 😉 So happy we don’t have to keep our lids on it anymore! 🥘 We are so beyond excited to announce our new #COVERGIRL, the beautiful inside and out, multi-talented #girlboss @ayeshacurry! 👸🏽💄 We are thrilled to welcome you (and your baby girls) into the #COVERGIRL family! ❤️”
Ayesha was beyond proud to share the news. How lucky are those two baby girls to have a CoverGirl mom to look up to?! I think Mrs. Curry is a great choice!

Happy Tuesday!
The first ever Cocktails with Claire London went down this past Sunday, September 17th! Bloggers, fashionistas, and FBD enthusiasts gathered at 17 Hobart Place to sip cocktails, network, and fraternize!
Grace Senyomo of Popfresh invited yours truly over to the U.K. for our networking extravaganza. Part 1 comprised a VIP brunch at Duck & Waffle.
@ShakailaElise worked an off the shoulder orange top and jeans.
A Chanel bag was the perfect accent to this smart look.
Lastly, a cozy sweater dress played well with chic booties.
After taking pix, we sat down for a Q & A. As always, we talked about setting goals, the highs and lows of entrepreneurship, and how to balance work and career.
Can you believe I’m still juggling jet lag? But with loads of coffee (and some rest), I hope to be back to my regular self. Next stop, Milan!
Apparently there aren’t tons of similar networking events in the U.K., so we’re game to do more, maybe even next February! And my Parisian fashionistas, I’ll be touching down on the 22nd. Let me know if y’all to have a quick get together. Appelles-moi!
Until then, what did you think of the style at our first Cocktails with Claire in Europe?
