Confession: I love a good pencil skirt. As a woman with serious curves, few silhouettes hug them better, you know? The iconic piece is becoming one of the biggest Spring 2018 trends in Milan right now.
This season’s it model, Laiqah Omar, slipped into one on the Prada runway—chicly accented with a classic collared shirt, one-shoulder embroidered top, and tassel-detailed kitten heeled loafers. And at Fendi, the variations ranged from leather to stripes to a sheer logo design.
Max Mara showed the piece in black, lavender, and floral—classic enough to wear for both work & play, though the sheer, printed looks definitely leaned more toward a Summer night out.
Are you indulging in any new pencil skirts this season?
Celebs took a break from Milan Fashion Week to attend the 9th Annual amfAR gala in the Italian fashion capital. Our favorite models, industry insiders, and more were in attendance to toast to Angela Missoni.
Let’s get into their looks!
Jasmine Sanders sizzled in a black, long-sleeve embellished Idan Cohen gown with a sultry slit. Hot!
Alessandra Ambrosio looked every bit the supermodel in an asymmetric, silver Julien Macdonald stunner with a sexy slit. She’s never looked hotter.
It was all about fringe for Maria Borges in a sheer, embroidered Alberta Ferretti dress that boasted the flirty accent. Gorgeous, no?
Giovanna Battaglia was the Kira Kira filter personified in an embellished Halpern frock. I live for her style!
Hailey Baldwin served up a retro-inspired moment in a green, strapless Missoni gown.
Jon Kortajarena repped for the fellas in a leopard print sport coat.
Jourdan Dunn went glam in a strapless Naeem Khan design that was a literal work of art!
Karolina Kurkova was a blue dream in Missoni separates.
Can you tell fringe was one of the night’s biggest trends? Leila Nda opted for it, slipping on a strapless navy dress.
Margherita Missoni went bold in a colorful Missoni fringe piece.
Samile Bermannelli was the lady in red, clad in a floral paillette-embellished dress in the fiery hue.
Tina Kukaney was pretty in pink in an ethereal Ermanno Scervino gown. That hair though!
Today’s Bombshell is full of bold and bright looks. Behold Tracy from Montreal, Canada.
She writes, “I would describe my style as chic and edgy.”
“Honestly I can say my mother has a big influence on my style. She is such a colorful person.”
“Everyone who knows me knows I love Zara. It is really my go to shop. Not only is it affordable, but lots of their items are similar to any high-end brand.”

All eyes were on the striking Kaia Gerber as she twirled in Moschino Milano’s 2018 Spring Presentation. The supermodel flainted an elaborate fluffy feathered skirt paired with a cropped leather jacket layered over a graphic My Lil Pony X Moschino tee courtesy of their current collaboration.
Biker Ballerinas was the inspiration behind the first half of this collection, which creative director Jeremy Scott manifested vividly on the runway. Striking studded jackets, detailed embellished bustiers and tutus of all sorts captured Scott’s consistent larger then life vision.
But the party did not stop there! The show took a blossoming turn as Anna Cleveland led in wearing a life size tulip dress. A few looks later a flourishing skirt of red roses made a dashing appearance. However the closing finale was the peak of the night with sprouting bouquet dresses that floored his audience to no end.
It’s only a matter of time until we see Nicki Minaj laced in Jeremy’s latest creations. What are your thoughts on Moschino Milano’s forthcoming collection?
Have you been drooling over Rihanna’s ELLE October 2017 fashion spread like we have? The biggest fashion houses in the world are clamoring to dress her, thus we surely thought Rih would be dripping in luxury from head to toe. But surprisingly for us, we found that one of the nail polishes she sports in the shoot is a total steal at just $8:
With defy & INSPIRE’s Fall-perfect “Frenemy”, deep burgundy shade, we already have the feeling that we’ll be going through several bottles of this lacquer before 2018. The polish is also DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, and Camphor-5 Free.
Ms. Fenty wears the lacquer with everything from those coveted Balenciaga legging boots to a red futuristic Dolce & Gabbana PVC coat and helmet.

This week we are showing lots of love to London Bombshells. Especially if you attended Cocktails With Claire in London!
Today’s Bombshell is Yemisi from London.
She writes, “I had the pleasure of attending the Cocktails with Claire in London which was so insightful.”
“I would say that my style is simple with a twist. You can always make a statement with a t-shirt and jeans, throw on a pair of heels and a blazer and you are good to go.”
“Street fashion and celebrity style have always influenced my style. Karrueche Tran is a big influence not only do I like her style but we are both petite. So she is always a point of reference when I need to know if a trend would suit my body shape. Also Winonah De Jong and Draya Michele their mixing of high and low brands is always helpful. There is rise in attainable fashion and it always fun to see celebs in affordable pieces.”
“Top places to shop for me are Zara, Mango and Topshop. They are great for basic that have a little extra character to it and nothing beats a pair of Topshop Jamie jeans.”

Hey, y’all! I am bursting with joy because it is the first day of fall, which means next level fashions will ensue to gear up for layering season, not to mention cuffing season is also back in full effect. So as you cozy up, allow me to give you the run down on who had the best looks this week based on your likes on Instagram:
This is Riri’s second week in a row as #1 looking pretty in pink in a Rosie Assoulin jumpsuit. She is just too hot to trot. Fresh off the success of her Fenty Beauty launch, how can she not be? Rihanna loves to tap into her feminine side from time to time and this monochromatic look is the perfect example of such. Get into that plush fur bag!
After the birth of twins, Rumi & Sir Carter, Beyoncé has yet to skip a beat. It’s one thing to recover from one child, but we’re talking twins here. Just three months postpartum and Queen Bey has been coming out swinging! She wore a gold Acler off the shoulder top that displayed her curves graciously; embracing her figure. Love how she kept it simple with the black and emphasized the gold tones.
I love me some Zendaya! This Christian Siriano bell sleeved jumpsuit was all she needed to steal the show at the Women’s Making History Awards. Every single detail, the cut outs, the shoulders, the wide leg bottoms, came together to make one heck of a jumpsuit. Christian Siriano has made quite the name for himself with his avant garde designs. It’s not wonder he’s a celeb fave!
The goddess, Halle Berry, strikes again in this sheer Elie Saab number she wore to the premiere of “Kinsgman: The Golden Circle”. The plum and black hues of the dress is perfect for the fall season. Can Halle ever do any wrong?
Serayah is always the silent killer; reserved, yet strong in statute, despite her petite frame. This ivory eyelet Zimmerman dress suited her well in that it was voluminous up top and just short enough at the bottom to show off those killer legs of hers. The slick back ponytail kept her hair out of the way and allowed us to see the full details of the design. Metallic accessories were just the right choice to make this ‘fit pop!
