Fashion’s Biggest Splurges: $10,000 YSL Boots, $30,000 Balmain Embellished Jackets, and $40,000 Crystal Sweaters

Prices of luxe clothing seem to be growing at an astronomical price, but it seems our favorite celeb Bombers and Bombshells have no issue shelling out the coins to stand out from the crowd!
YSL’s $10,000 crystal boots, spied on Cardi B, Rihanna, Céline Dion, Blac Chyna, Keyshia Kaoir, and more, are just the tip of the super spending iceberg!

Gucci Mane recently posted on the ‘Gram, rocking a $30,000 Balmain jacket from the brand’s Fall 2017 runway collection.

While $30,000 on a jacket is admirable, Tommie from Love & Hip Hop outdid Mr. Mane, posing in YSL’s $40,000 crystal embellished cable knit sweater.

Alright! I can’t wait to see what’s next. Enjoy, folks!
What do you think? If you could, would you splurge?

Fashion Bombshell of the Day: LaRita from Philly

Today’s Bombshell is LaRita from Philadelphia, PA.

She writes, “My personal motto about fashion is ‘It’s not about brand but about style’. I honestly think you can buy clothes from anywhere and look like a million bucks (trust me lol).”

Man Crush Monday #MCM: Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber is a rare breed in the limelight of entertainment and fashion. He was just a 12-year-old Canadian kid from London, Ontario making YouTube videos until he was discovered by Scooter Braun of RBMG, a joint record label under Usher. From record-breaking hits to his more than 100 million followers on social media, he has become a heart-throb to many and still continues as he get’s older, wiser and even more stylishly good-looking, which crown’s Justin as our MCM for the week!

During his younger years, Justin mixed and match with colors and prints, but kept his appearance in the direction of skater boy street. Now, as his pockets and success grows, he has firmed up an idea of what fits him best.

Working with stylists Ryan Good and Karla Welch, he has continued to fine tune his street chic aesthetic.

He loves a combination of pieces for layering, headwear, readers for eyewear, and popular labels such as Supreme, Nike, Fear of God, Champion, Vans and more.

You can find him in anything urban, semi-chic and/or distressed.

His normal day-to-day staple pieces are hoodies, specs, and bandanas, with the occasional unexpected piece (say a kilt) to keep people intrigued.

He is also often killin’ it in plaid prints too!

If he’s not skateboarding, he’s performing, creating music videos and just hanging out whether alone or with his crew. He seems like one laid back artist when there’s time to kill!

His looks can appear baggy despite his usual layerings, but he knows how to tone it down a notch. And with his new platinum blonde hair-do, he appears more sleek, minimal, yet daring than ever.

That’s a wrap! View more pics of the Bieb’s stylish looks in the gallery.

Claire’s Life: My Big Chop, Styled by Neal Farinah, Sponsored by Dare to Have Hair

Hey Guys!
So if you follow our sister site, TheBombLife.com, you’d know that I planned to chop my signature locs in favor of more versatile styles.

After I went red for NYFW, I found my hair color compromised (instead of fully red, it was more red and gray). I cut my locs to my shoulders, but it still wasn’t working for me, so I decided to cut it all off and start anew!

I tapped Neal Farinah, who styles Beyonce’s hair for music videos, performances, and street style, created Nicki Minaj’s 60 inch style, and devised Solange’s barrette infused album cover, to do the honors.

Behold the final result!

Because cutting my locs was a bold and daring move, Dare to Have Hair provided my new style.

See more in the video below and read more thoughts on TheBombLife.com.

I’m moving to LA in December, writing a new book, and embarking on a new stage in my career. It was time to switch things up!
What say you: Hot! or Hmm…?

Look of the Week(Top 5 Most Liked Looks on Instagram): Rihanna in Tom Ford, Draya Michele in YSL, Ciara in Marques Almeida, and More!

Happy Friday, y’all! Fall does not seem to know whether it’s coming or going, but that hasn’t stopped the fashions from streaming our timelines and it certainly hasn’t stopped you from double tapping the looks you liked most on Instagram. Here’s who you were into this week:

1. Rihanna in Tom Ford: 14,226 Likes

Look at those legs!! Rihanna strut her stuff on the streets of New York this week in a full monochromatic look by Tom Ford. Then she hit us with the 90s tinted framed that just sealed the deal. The slouchy boots and the gathered sleeves of the jacket kicked the look up a notch. Tom Ford hit it on the nail with this one. Who better than Riri to show us how to do it?

2. Draya Michele in YSL: 12,319 Likes

Draya kept it cute and simple with this high-low ‘fit. She gave us the cold shoulder in this Zara top and gorgeous YSL boots; coordinating the hues effortlessly so not to overwhelm. I love how she slicked her hair back allowing for the décolletage.

3. Ciara in Marques Almeida: 9,453 Likes

Ciara served in this mini dress by Marques Almeida. The long tresses, middle part, and billowy sleeves, gave me 70s vibes. No better way to complete this look than with a killer pair of thigh high boots. Cici, did not come to play.

4. Kourtney Kardashian in Orseund Iris: 8,482 Likes

Gotta admit that Kourtney is one of my favorites of the Kardashian clan; she just always seems to get it just right no matter what style she’s going for. She dressed this silk Orseund Iris top down with a pair of high waisted denim pants that hugged her petite frame to perfection. Add to that, a vintage Chanel fanny pack and classic Balenciaga boots, and you’ve got one hot mama!

5. Yara Shahidi in Prada: 8,063 Likes

Yara continues to “Do it For the Culture” by using her platform to speak against social injustice. Aside from using her intellect, she also makes a conscious effort to let her fashion choices speak for how she feels; donning a long sleeved t-shirt by HSTRY that says “Respect Existence or Expect Resistance” whilst still killing the game in a printed Prada skirt. What a clever way to evoke a message. Bravo, Yara!

Hot!

Earlier in the week, the mega star was hot to trot in NYC for a SNL after-party clad in a pair of $895 Christian Louboutin Cherrysandal Nats No. 3 PVC Double Strap Platform Sandals.

Rising sky-high, Louboutin’s “Cherrysandal” dazzles with a hint of illusion.

Featuring a transparent PVC slingback, this 140mm platform sandal in nude no. 3 is a minimalist silhouette with high impact.

She’s keeping it all the way cute!

Fashion Bomber of the Day: Wisdom from Nigeria

Happy Friday!

Today’s Bomber is Wisdom from Lagos, Nigeria, who currently resides in Raleigh, NC.

He writes, “Artistic – I tend to make my style a work of art. Rebellious – I tend to defy the “rules” of what is accepted by my mates/society. Knowledgeable – compared to most, I care about the brands that I wear, designers and such; I appreciate the integrity and art than owning one just for the name. Comfortable – no problems stepping out of my comfort zone. I am also content with any location or weather, I make things work. Versatile –  I am just a mix of timeless styles. A mix of 90’s, modern and a mix of Nigerian flare.”
“I myself and the public(people) inspire my style, knowing that I could step out in public and get compliments on my styling coordination and also being asked for advice about fashion, giving people the courage to build up the confidence and ability to wear whatever makes them feel comfortable and not worrying about what the next mn thinks, and that is just enough to make me remain who I am.”
