From fronting one of the biggest girl groups of our generation to carving out a solo career that knows no bounds, former Pussy Cat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger has grown into her own. The singer, dancer, actress, and X-Factor judge is seemingly on a mission to conquer it all. And just as her career has evolved, so has her style.
During her days as a Pussy Cat Doll, Scherzinger relied on lots of leather, fishnets, and a myriad of mini skirts. Bandage dresses and skirts in vibrant colors and eye-catching patterns were also on heavy rotation during this era, considering these were must haves.
As time progressed, Nicole’s style improved, pairing upbeat pieces with touches of ultra-feminine flair. A Les Petits Joueurs bag and Stella McCartney “Elyse” platform derby shoes definitely uplift a casual day look. A houndstooth coat and oversized sunnies pair well together for a look that leans more on the “chic” side. Red carpet looks are always a treat, especially during X-Factor season. From perfectly tailored jumpsuits….
To saucy minidresses the likes of David Koma…
…to stunning gowns the likes of Michael Costello and Julien Macdonald, her red carpet style rarely ever misses the mark.
That’s it for this week’s addition to the bunch of style roundups. And with X-Factor currently in the heat of competition, we’re certain to have more fabulous fashion moments to look forward to.

She writes, “I would describe my style as chic elegance, with a touch of sass! I love attention to detail and statement pieces that have a ‘WOW’ factor whether it be an extreme puff sleeve or a simple dress with a deep plunge back.”
“I love styling my pieces with other brands and creating inspiring looks.”
“I love seeing women being bold and dressing confidently, as an outlet of expression.”

Perusing my Instagram feed this morning, I saw not just one, but 2 blogging Bombshells (@Natashandlovu and @Kerrently) wearing one of Fall 2017’s biggest trends: the checked blazer dress.
June Ambrose wore an option from Zara with a Gucci bag during New York Fashion Week.
Monica Brown for a longer blazer with a skirt to VH1 Hip Hop Honors.
And Hailey Baldwin bid adieu to Fashion Week in a check dress and a matching jacket.
I love this look! If you do, too, get it for a steal and a splurge below:

Foot couturier Christian Louboutin has collaborated with Indian Couture Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee on a line of fabulously embellished shoes featuring hand-embroidered sari fabrics and ribbons from Sabyasachi’s archives.
The collection will be available at only eight locations globally including Bergdorf Goodman in New York and the Christian Louboutin Boutique in Los Angeles.
According to the brand, “Louboutin created shoes for Sabyasachi’s annual couture show in Mumbai in 2015. A collection of footwear and handbags followed for his 2016 runway show. The Louboutin x Sabyasachi capsule collection includes 10 women’s and 2 men’s styles as well as clutches available in multiple colorways with limited quantities of each style due to the rarity of the fabric.”
The limited capsule features spiked booties, platform heels, and snazzy flats. Only the bold need apply.
Prices have not been advertised as yet, but I’m sure they’re as high as those heels.
Would you splurge?

She writes, “I would describe my style as unique. 85% of my wardrobe is thrifted and vintage. I love the thrill of the hunt when thrift shopping and looking for vintage pieces! It is fascinating to me to see how well made clothes from the past stand the test of time!”
“It can be challenging at times to work with a piece that I may fall in love with that looks and feels dated however I do my best to bring a modern approach to every look! My favorite era is definitely the 70’s!’
“Everyone knows that fashion just recycles itself, so that’s basically what I do with a fresh take! Sustainable Fashion!”
“I also own and an online concept shop selling new, pre-loved and vintage clothing named Black Manhattan, Black-Manhattan.com. The store also focuses on a conscious, culture, art lifestyle through articles written on the site!”
“Everyone of these looks are either vintage or thrifted to some degree! Some are even head to toe thrifted!”

Hip Hop culture is truly taking over Fashion, first stateside, and now abroad!
Just yesterday, Chicago’s very own hiplet dancers opened the Moncler Spring 2018 show, performing a routine mixing classical ballerina with hip hop dance.
Hip Hop’s presence is truly being felt by the fashion industry. I can’t wait for even more real inclusion and enthusiastic acceptance of our wonderful diversity.
