Nothing eases us into Spring better than the layers that make that seasonal transition from Winter effortless. Miuccia Prada piled it on for Miu’s Miu Spring 2018 collection, with collared sleeveless shirts over sweater vests, ribbed socks slipped into sandals, and more.
Dresses were layered over t-shirts, while one-shoulder sheer designs took shape on top of sweater vests and cropped trousers.
Headbands added to the collection’s retro-inspired vibe, as did quirky shades, tasseled loafers, and knee-high socks.
Florals were juxtaposed against windowpane patterns and plaids clashed with medallion prints in the best way possible.
Some looks veered into unflattering, dowdy territory—opposed to the chic librarian feel most of the ensembles served up.
But not to fret, as the assortment did put some flesh on display. Thighs were bared from underneath a geometric print coat, while a sheer dress left more to the imagination than originally desired when placed under an oversized patterned jacket.
Naomie Harris, Dakota Fanning, and Emily Ratajkowski were just a smattering of the stylish celebs that filled up the brand’s front row. And we know these ladies will be clamoring for the runway’s sheer lace dresses that captured the trend in an elegant, yet spirited way.

Here we are again, to give you the run down on who had the hottest looks of the week, for yet another Holiday weekend. It wouldn’t be right if we didn’t get your long weekend started off on a fashionable note.

Kerry looked pristine in a flirty jacquard Dolce & Gabbana dress for the Late Show. I love me a good jacquard print and this is just the right tone for the fall season. Gushing over the pairing of the plush velvet sandals, also a season must have.
2. Tamar Braxton in Forever21: 11,995 Likes
Apparently, Tamar fired a stylist for their ill remarks towards her decision to wear this army fatigue jumpsuit from the Forever21 brand to an appearance on Essence, which the stylist felt was beneath her. In essence, Tamar responded stating that clothes do not make her who she is. What a beautiful reminder of what fashion is all about! Here she is rocking the heck out of a now, sold out jumpsuit, with a hot pair of Louboutin’s to match. This is high-low fashion at its best!

Tamar Braxton took to Instagram recently, saying that she fired her stylist because they didn’t believe in mixing high and low.
She wrote, “The stylist today tried to make me feel “less than” because he didn’t agree that I should wear @forever21..well.. I FIRED him because NO ONE should make you feel “less than” because you have on a $40 outfit!! How AWFUL!! 😰..so my clothes make me?!🤔.. NEVER!!!… Be confident in WHATEVER u have….Wear, are, and CHOOSE to be or afford!! You BETTER walk in confidence no matter what shape, size, or financial situation!! You are AMAZING and don’t let ANYONE bully you into spending what you have.. or NOT.. it doesn’t make you ANY LESS FABULOUS!! You make the clothes!! Your SPIRIT makes you!! EMBRACE YOU!! YOU ARE PERFECT!! NO MATTER WHAT!! #LOVEYOU thank you @fashionbombdaily for posting AND knowing that’s it’s about THE GIRL!!”
Tamar was referring to the above now sold out $40 Forever 21 City of Angels Jumpsuit, that undoubtedly flew off the shelves because it looked so great with her platinum hair and Christian Louboutin So Kate booties. Our Fashion Bomb Daily sleuths went to searching, and uncovered the gem yesterday for a feature on the ‘Gram.
We go in touch with her stylist, who requested anonymity, to learn their side of the story. They said, “This is her album release week. We were supposed to have a fitting the night before, but she couldn’t make it. The next morning, call time was 8am in the morning. She didn’t show up until 8:30/8:45 ish. We had to walk at 9:45. She spends a lot of time in hair and makeup, so she’s always rushed when it comes to styling.”
They continued, “I pulled an outfit for her. She said she loved it, but said she wanted to wear it on Wednesday for Page Six. She said, ‘What else you got?’ Instead of stand by the rack, she went into hair and makeup and from there, she called her assistant to grab the jumpsuit. Apparently that’s what she wanted to wear. It was totally fine. Nothing is wrong with the jumpsuit. I’m a high low stylist in general.”
“When she finally got dressed, I told her what shoes to wear. And then she asked overall, how I thought the outfit looked. I told her it looked, ‘Ok.’ I didn’t say it in a rude way. I didn’t say it looked great, but I said it looked, OK. Apparently when she got in the car, she got really upset.”
“I would never ever every say anything about a $40 jumpsuit. I just thought it was not the appropriate outfit for a wave of press for her album coming out. I 100% stand by that. That’s why she hired me. It’s not about it being Forever 21, I didn’t even know it was a $40 jumpsuit. She hired me to take her to the next level. I will not apologize for not thinking it was an appropriate look. But I will apologize for saying it looked, ‘OK.’ Maybe that word choice wasn’t the right word choice at the time. Also, I wasn’t fired. I was only hired on through Monday.”
Well, there you have it. I hope they can resolve this situation amicably and go forth, fashionably. It seems like they are a stylish match–and that this was just a misunderstanding!

This is not a drill! Victoria’s Secret angel wings are getting a new luxe makeover. Yesterday the lingerie brand announced a major collaboration with Balmain. Not only is Oliver Rousteing designing looks for the runway show in Shanghai, but VSxBalmain will be available for purchase in store and online.
Oliver is a collaboration genius! Balmain just recently teamed up with L’Oreal for a lipstick collection, and now a lingerie limited edition capsule?! This is too much to even take in. This will be the first time that Victoria’s Secret does a collaboration and we can expect it to be extremely sexy.
A press release for the lingerie line read, “Olivier Rousteing, the Creative Director from the historic Parisian fashion house, has designed an offering that looks to the sexy, modern silhouette that Victoria’s Secret is known for, while incorporating Balmain’s instantly identifiable style. The collection builds upon the house’s couture legacy while reflecting the way women want to dress today.”
The collection will be available on November 29, a day after the Victoria’s Secret runways show airs on CBS. There has been on price point announced yet, but we are so excited to see what this capsule looks like!
