Look of the Week (Top 5 Most Liked Looks on Instagram): Leslie Jones in Custom Christian Siriano, Draya in HMN ALNS, Janet Jackson in Fear of God, and More!

We’re back with the top 5 looks of the week that you all loved, and there were certainly some hot ones this week! Lets get into the outfits that you deemed worthy:

1.Leslie Jones in Custom Christian Siriano (39,000 Likes)

Do we even have to ask why she’s number one on the list?! Leslie, you did that! Ms. Jones showed off her stems at the Time 100 Gala in a custom Christian Siriano white blazer dress. She certainly made a statement with her dark shades and black lipstick while channeling Grace Jones. Readers flooded our comments section showing Leslie love; @topmogulkat wrote, “Perfect look for her!! Nailed it!!!!!!” while @2nd2n0ne_ wrote, “She looks stunning. One of her best looks.” Leslie and Siriano are certainly a match made in heaven!

2. Draya in HMN ALNS (27,212 Likes)

Draya kept it saucy while out in ATL for the opening of Revel Nightclub. She wore a yellow knit HMN ALNS co-ord set with embroidered face details. The off the shoulder crop top and high slit skirt showed off Draya’s hot body! She completed her look with a simple pair of pumps and transparent clutch. So bomb!

3. Janet Jackson in Fear of God (21,771 Likes)

We don’t see Janet much, but when we do she plays no games! Janet posed for the ‘Gram this week showing off her street style in a denim ensemble and a silk Fear of God bomber jacket. With a bold red lip and her high ponytail, Janet Jackson showed us that she’s still got it. What an ageless beauty!

4. Beyoncé in custom Balmain (18,624 Likes)

It was only right that Queen Bey landed in our top 5 two weeks in a row after her epic Beychella performances. For her second and final performance she heated up the stage in a silver bejeweled cape and Egyptian bust. What’s not to love?! Although her looks the second week were fairly similar to the first, she still surprised us with the looks and for that we will always love Bey. Now, who’s ready for her ‘On The Run II’ tour costumes?

5. Danai Gurira in Zuhair Murad (17,934 Likes)

What a beauty! Black Panther breakout star, Danai Gurira glowed on the carpet at the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ clad in a red plunging neck gown. Her dress had embroidered designs all throughout it. Readers dubbed her ‘Best Dressed’ at the event, we must say red is certainly her color. Stunning!

The Gospel According to André: André Leon Talley on Career Regrets, His Legacy, and Coming up Black and Gay in the Fashion Industry

Last night, Fashion Bomb Daily was on the scene for a screening of The Gospel According to André.

The documentary traces iconic Vogue Editor at Large Andre Leon Talley’s life, from his humble beginnings in Durham, North Carolina, to his rise to the top ranks and front rows of high fashion.

To say the film was a joy would be an understatement. ALT’s personality is bombastic and hilariously electric, his knowledge of fashion beyond brilliant, and his confidence and joie de vivre contagious. Any fashionista or fashionisto will revel in the archival footage of Mr. Talley strutting down streets in pinstriped suits interviewing fashion greats like Karl Lagerfeld, Azzedine Alaia, and Yves Saint Laurent. Anyone who loves fashion will salivate over these delectable slices of style history.

After the film, André Leon Talley opened the floor for questions. Below, his thoughts on career regrets, mentorship, and coming up gay and black in an elitist, largely homogeneous industry:

On What Kept him Grounded in a Decadent, Salacious Industry. “Faith. My faith and belief, my religion, my foundation in church. I grew up in a household of faith and love and that was the standard. I’ve had low values and high peaks, but my faith sustained me.”

On Career Regrets. “I wish I had known how to strategize and turn my brand and public persona into a beautiful commercial enterprise. I want to be able to make more money. There are people who have branded themselves. I think it’s important. That’s [the only thing] I would have done differently.”

On coming up as a black gay man working in an isolating landscape. “I think that the sexual orientation was not pronounced, it was not thrown or thrust in the face aggressively. I never really thought of myself as a black gay man in the industry, I thought of myself as a human being in the fashion industry. If someone would approach me and talk about my sexuality, I would say, ‘You know what? I’m quadrosexual.’ I remember once when I was at Women’s Wear Daily, there were some problems, because I was so busy in Paris embracing the greats, Yves Saint Laurent, Hubert de Givenchy, Karl Lagerfeld all of the great people. And one of my editors at Women’s Wear Daily came to me and said, ‘You’ve got the worst reputation in town. You have slept in every designer bed there is!” I didn’t say a word. I left the office and went to the Madeleine, the church where Marlene Dietrich was funeralized. And I sat in the church for a while. I never slept with any designers. I didn’t make my career from screwing designers. I think that was the most racist thing, and I’ll never forget that, and it stuck with me for the rest of my life that that person said that. What I project is originality.”

On what he’s doing to give back to the next generation. The world has changed since [I met my mentor] Diana Vreeland in 1974. It was a very small world. It’s a bigger world today and I just hope I can mentor through example. Through what I love on my Instagram. If you see me on the street, I’ll talk to you…I hope I’m an inspiration to a lot of people of many colors, many moods, and many sexualities. I hope to continue to inspire.”

On Edward Enninful being named EIC of British Vogue “I sent an email to Edward congratulating him. And he responded, ‘You paved the way.’ And I think that’s a great legacy.”

The Gospel According to André hits theaters May 25th. Find local listings at TheGospelAccordingtoAndre.com.

Who Wore It Better? Rita Ora, Nicki Minaj, and Keyshia Ka’Oir in Fendi SS18 Fur Bomber

We have a three way style showdown! Rita Ora, Nicki Minaj, and Keyshia Ka’Oir all wore this Fendi ‘FF Monogram’ bomber. All of these ladies spiced up the furry jacket with their own style.

Rita Ora rocked the runway look from head to toe—she paired it with an A-line leather skirt with pointy toe shoes accessorized with socks.

Nicki Minaj tried her hand at the trend in her latest snapshot for her single ‘Chun-Li.’ The New York rapper gave her bomber a sexy feel styled with a Fendi monogram bikini bottom and mesh thigh high boots by the brand.

Keyshia kept it simple teaming her bomber with leggings and matching FF monogram booties.

Fendi is certainly having a moment with their monogram trend. Who do you think wore their bomber best?
