Happy Monday!
Today I wanted to do a quick feature on Bella Evans @ByBellaEvans, a fabulous New York based natural hairstylist and wig specialist.
She got her start in hair care a few years ago when her aunt was diagnosed with cancer. She says, “She had long luscious locs for years and [lost them due to] chemotherapy etc. From that moment on, not only did I realize the impact that hair had on women but that I would try to make a difference. My mom is a bit of an herbalist and from her teachings and studying I came up with my own line of hair care products, extensions, and other hair replacement pieces.”
She continues, “My inspiration came from not knowing what a lot of ingredients meant. From seeing a product listed as a coconut oil infused moisturizer, reading the ingredients and seeing coconut oil (or something derived from it) as the fourth or fifth ingredient. I wanted to be able to know exactly what was in the products that I decided to use. My heart has always been in natural hair and skin care. For me the apothecary/ holistic approach is the way to go.”
A lot of women wear wigs, but sometimes neglect their natural hair. Bella recommends that those who wear wigs take them off to allow their scalp to breathe. She says, “A healthy scalp is crucial for long and healthy hair growth.”
In terms of the do’s and don’ts of wearing wigs, she says:
Do be expressive, and allow your creative juices to flow. Take care of your wigs as you would your natural hair. If you do not take care of your natural hair, start doing both.
Do not use excessive heat or oil-based products. Don’t leave your wig on for long periods of time, your scalp needs to breathe. Do not forget to rid your wigs of built up bacteria by using a clarifying shampoo.
How about rules for natural hair?
Do read the ingredients in the products, do wash your hair regularly but not so much that you strip your hair of its natural oils. Try to stay free of synthetic products. Do steam and deep conditioning treatments at least twice a month.
Do not use excessive heat on your natural hair, do not forget to oil your hair and keep it moisturized, do not think that’s wigs and extensions are an end all be all. They are a temporary solution, you have to fix the initial problem if you want to see change.
In conclusion she says, “I love that I can be creative and help others. I love that my job allows me to have time with my family. But most of all I love that I can change someone’s day or brighten their world by living in my purpose. Healing the outside by bringing what’s on the inside to the surface. Helping individuals learn that your outer beauty comes from within.”

Happy Saturday!
I’m currently in LA, headed to the Beyonce concert tonight! But before I hopped on a plane cross country, I popped by a launch party for Reign, a news streaming service for African-American films and TV shows.

Everything from Brown Sugar to Shaft will be available on this new platform! It launches in May. Stay tuned for updates at Reign.com.
To celebrate, the brand gathered influencers, movers, and shakers like Naturi Naughton, Umindi Francis, Chris Chambers, Antoine Phillips, and more, in addition to Reign executives Quincy Newell, Aubrey Flynn, and Lisa Holly, for a cocktail party at Ludlow House.

For the occasion, I wore a crop top and and a new addition to Fashion Bomb Daily Shop: A white and silver sequin pencil skirt.
Get yours here.
I’m off to OTRII tonight! Stay tuned for even more moments from Claire’s Life by following me on IG @ClaireSulmers. Smootches!

Versace showcased their Spring 2019 collection during Milan Fashion Week today and among the front row guests were Nicki Minaj. She wore a waist cinching leather belt and printed skirt by the brand that was previously worn by Jlo last Spring.

Jlo rocked her skirt with a signature logo Versace t-shirt and a wide waist belt. She accessorized with long yellow fringe earrings and rocked long straight tresses.
Nicki Minaj was front row ready rocking her skirt with the same belt and a leather corset top. The “Queen” rapper accessorized her look a bit more with a plaid head wrap and hat, neon gloves, and bulky gold Versace chains.

Both of their looks were a combination of the original runway look from last fashion week.

Both ladies rocked Versace from head to toe adding their own flair. I favored Jlo’s simple, yet still statement look. How about you? Who do you think wore it better?
Happy Friday bombers and bombshells! We’re back with look of the week, the top 5 most liked looks on Instagram. From the Emmy’s carpet to the performing stage, let’s get into the best looks this week according to your double taps:
1.Rihanna in Calvin Klein (10, 913 likes)

2.Beyoncé in Balmain (3,589 likes)

The On The Run 2 tour is coming to an end soon, but that doesn’t stop Queen Bey from still hitting us with new bomb looks on stage. She performed in New Orleans last week glimmering in an emerald Balmain gown with a cinched waist and a high thigh slit. The draping of the slit hit Bey’s curves perfect and her flowing tresses gave this look all the class it needed.
3.Marsai Martin in Viktor and Rolf (3,514 likes)

Marsai Martin is only a teen, but she slays red carpets like no other! Age appropriate, chic, and cute—always! She attended the Emmy’s donning a Viktor and Rolf dress with a ruffled ombré skirt. The colors looked so dreamy on her and her high ponytail was the perfect subtle style to let her frock do all the talking on the carpet.
4. Issa Rae in Vera Wang (3,425 likes)
Ms. Issa did not come to play this year at the Emmy’s! The Emmy nominated actress graced the carpet in a baby blue Vera Wang jumpsuit. The plunging neck ensemble featured 3,000 hand appliquéd crystals and a beautiful train. Issa looked gorgeous with her hair pulled back, a style we don’t see much from her. Hot!
5.Model Nyakim in Lavie Byck (3,364 likes)

Talk about a goddess! Model Nyakim struck a pose before the Emmy’s looking regal in an iridescent Lavie Byck gown. From the way the color complemented her skin to the pop of pink lip she wore, this look was so stunning. That’s how you shut down the carpet!
Who had your favorite look?
Congratulations are in order for Michael B. Jordan dubbed by lots of girls as, “Michael Bae Jordan” who is Coach’s newest face of the brand. He joins Selena Gomez as a celebrity ambassador, but he is the first ambassador for Coach’s menswear line. In 77 years they’ve never had a face for men, so who better to tap than Michael?!

Jordan announced the news on Instagram saying, “With any creative endeavor, it’s all about finding the right fit. My next role, the face of @Coach men’s. Excited to work with @StuartVevers and the entire Coach fam. Good things on the way.”

According to Coach, starting in Spring 2019 we will start seeing a lot of Michael in their campaigns. We can’t wait to see what they create together! In the meantime, shop his signature logo hoodie for $650 here.

Congrats MJB! What are your thoughts on this collaboration?
Happy Friday!

We’ve got a new bomb beauty brand you should put on your radar! I am absolutely smitten with products from Ghanaian brand R&R Luxury, particularly their Liquid Black Soap and Shea Oil:
The liquid Black Soap is an amazing cleanser for the face and body, using natural ingredients to give you a natural glow.
The 100% pure unrefined Shea Butter Oil is great for dry skin relief, skin toning, stretch marks, sunburn, and more (and works great on everyone from newborns to the elderly).
