I have my go-to’s in every city! And whenever I go to the DMV area, Inarbi Nicole does my hair, making me feel fabulous and empowered! She is now taking her talent to the world with a free standing salon, M Luxe Salon located at 739 W Pratt Street Baltimore, Maryland 21201.
Inarbi is known for her Microlinks technique: she’s so good, she’s been dubbed the “Microlinks Queen.” Haven’t heard of micro links? Micro Links are small bead-like clamps that connect the extensions to your real hair. All of the hair pieces are small and are applied to your actual hair strand by strand with an application tool. It is more effortless than wigs or weaves, and looks natural while offering length and fullness.
If you’re in the DMV, be sure to stop by M Luxe Salon to get this and many other services done!
We celebrated the grand opening with cupcakes, food, bottomless drinks, a live painting, and of course the Electric Slide (done to Beyonce’s “Before I Let Go” remix).
I was happy to honor Inarbi for her latest venture. I’m all for empowering women as they step out as entrepreneurs in service of bringing more beauty and enrichment to the community!
Be sure to follow Inarbi @InarbiNicole and her salon @MLuxeStyle, and if you’re in Baltimore or the DMV are, be sure to stop by at 739 W Pratt Street Baltimore, Maryland 21201. Also thank you to @midoristarmediagroup for making this collaboration a reality!

With Black Lives Matter movement, the world’s gaze is now cast onto black owned businesses and how they can support. We at Fashion Bomb Daily have been champions for this cause for years, and even created a marketplace for Black Designers, FashionBombDailyShop.com.
Our best-selling Olayemii bags have been a fan-fave since we stocked them in the Fashion Bomb Daily Shop and designer, Tanise Francis couldn’t be more grateful for the love and support she’s received surrounding her bomb bags. She started the brand with simply a dollar and dream in 2017 and now, Olayemii has grown into so much more than handbags.
Tanise Francis is a New York native who went to Delaware State University to major in fashion design and merchandising. Originally, Francis had hopes on becoming a lawyer or businesswoman, but her passion for fashion was too overwhelming to be held back. While at Delaware State, she joined a modeling troupe called Model Inc which is where her desire to pursue fashion came from. She realized she was much more intrigued by the designers rather than being a front-and-center model.
In April of 2017, Tanise Francis launched the Olayemii “I am Worthy Of Wealth”. She tells us, “Olayemii is a sophisticated collection of premium Ankara printed handbags and apparel. Each high-quality piece is hand-crafted by artists in Nigeria. What makes Olayemii bags unique is their African Ankara print fabric that’s juxtaposed with traditionally styled handbags. Designed in a western style with the top handle shape as well as the overall construction of the bag. These uniquely made bags have plenty of pockets for storage, and they’re lined with velvet.“
Tanise Francis offers, “Olayemii’s mission is to become a household name that is recognized worldwide, while also providing jobs to Nigerian women to help support their families. These women are the tailors who manufacture the bags. Olayemii is a growing brand, who cares about the quality and design of our products while maintaining African culture.”
Tanise Francis describes the Olayemii Woman: “The Olayemii Woman is beautifuly styled, fashion-forward, and remains on trend. She is a woman who wants and appreciates Luxury and the African culture.” Olayemii has become popular with celebrities and influencers like beauty influencer Anaya Ivy, LHHNY star Tahiry Jose, musical artist Janelle Monae, and even our very own Editor-In-Chief Claire Sulmers.
The designer’s hardwork and success did not come without challenges which she overcame when she realized that she was helping others. She explains, “Running my business between Nigeria and New York City is very challenging. Picking the perfect fabrics for the customers and creating the perfect style bag… but it’s all worth it. I’m able to provide jobs to single mothers in Nigeria. My tailors in Nigeria are able to feed there families from executing my design ideas.” Also, Francis even takes the earnings from her company back to Nigeria to feed less fortunate children.
Tanise hopes to get her bags into Target or Macy’s one day, so the world can grow to appreciate and understand the beauty of African culture. She tells Fashion Bomb Daily she is “forever grateful” for everyone who has purchased and supported Olayemii’s handbags. She thanks us for believing in a girl from the Bronx and providing her with a bigger platform to sell her bags.
Fashionable theme? Check. Star power? Absolutely. Funds that go towards charity? Yep! So could the Wearable Art Gala be the Next Met Gala?
The question came to mind as Beyonce’s Lion King inspired Georges Hobeika couture ensemble popped onto my Instagram Timeline this morning.
Beyoncé embodied a fierce lioness at the #2019wearableartgala in a custom @georgeshobeika #lionking inspired ensemble.
After we posted, reader @BGladimbg wrote, “So this is where her Met Gala looks go now…down to the Wearable Art Gala.” Astute observation. And why shouldn’t they? The Met Gala is a fundraiser, with proceeds benefitting the Met Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. The parade of style marks the opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit, always attracts an A List crowd, and has a theme.
Last night, the Wearable Art Gala raised $2 million to put art back into our communities, and welcomed the likes of Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Marsai Martin, and of course hosts Richard Lawson and Ms. Tina Lawson, and many more, with a Lion King theme.
While the Met Gala is on the East Coast, the Wearable Art Gala is on the West Coast. And just imagine if the stars we yearn to see at the Met Gala, like Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Zendaya, Sarah Jessica Parker, and more gave the same energy to the Wearable Art Gala?

This year’s theme was “A Journey to the Pride Lands”, a reference to the upcoming live-action Lion King film with a star-studded class including Donald Glover, Beyoncé, and others!

Have you ever been in a situation where no matter what you do, you just can’t seem to lose any of those excess pounds that materialized out of nowhere during the holidays?
Diets may work, albeit temporarily. But there are tremendous gaps in the common person’s understanding of what it means to lose weight and the steps they must take to achieve their weight goals, , to fix this you should educate yourself on the subject by checking articles like this one where Dr. Jarreau provides guidance on how to fast.
We are here to shed some light (and help you shed that extra weight) on some of the lesser-known facts about weight loss.
Being ignorant of how the body works and responds to nutrition and activity leads to blind and often misguided attempts at losing weight. These often fail, or worse yet, backfire, eventually resulting in a return to unhealthy habits and reciprocal weight gain.
1. Weight loss is not synonymous with fat loss
People swooning over dashing celebrities and their picture perfect bodies may promise to achieve similar levels of physique by losing weight.
These people, however, tend to overlook the fact that weight loss does not necessarily mean fat loss, and it is usually fat loss that most desire.
Isn’t losing one directly dependent on losing the other? Yes, and no.
While some amount of fat loss will always accompany any loss of weight, going on fad diets or restricting calories without exercise causes the undesirable loss of valuable muscle instead of fat. So, while this gives the outward appearance of having lost weight, what has actually happened is that your muscle mass (which is imperative for strength and a shapely looking body) has decreased, leaving you weaker, but with quite a bit of ‘hidden’ fat still hanging around.
2. Neither weight training not carbs are your enemy
You can avoid losing muscle instead of fat by eating a controlled diet, high in protein, but with healthy amounts of fats and carbs. There should be no drastic or sudden reductions in your calorie intake. Balance is key.

Exercise should be planned to incorporate a combination of strength and cardio workouts throughout the week to focus on losing body fat while maintaining or building muscles mass.
You must have heard fitness gurus say that the best way to approach any change in your lifestyle, whether fitness or diet related or both, is to have a long term vision and goal. The underlying reasoning for this is based on one simple truth: long term planning helps build sustainable, healthy habits and an even healthier relationship with your body that will be beneficial to you for the rest of your life. Let alone achieving that fit, trim body you’ve always wanted, with this approach you will be stronger and happier to boot.
3. Don’t be a slave to the scale
It is unfortunately extremely easy to get hung up on what we see on the scale. We judge our success according to the numbers, and not by how we feel.
When you begin weight training, you might gain a couple of pounds from water weight or new muscle before you lose any weight. This is normal and should not cause panic or worse, abandoning your pursuit.
It is important to note that when losing body fat through weight training, the loss might not manifest on the scale because you are simultaneously building muscle. You might also notice that although your weight is constant, you are losing inches. This is a sign that you are moving in the right direction, so try not to be too focused on the numbers, and use measurements as an additional gauge for weight loss.
4. Weight loss is not a steady road
A weight loss journey is by no means smooth sailing. When you embark on your fitness journey, it is imperative to be in the correct mindset: be clear about what you aim to achieve because you will need that focus when things don’t go your way.
There will be peaks and troughs in your weight loss process as you progress.
This means that there will be periods during which you will experience a loss of weight or some reduction in size, interspersed with weeks of stagnation. What is more, there might be fluctuations in your weight depending on several lifestyle factors like stress, hormones or holidays. These standstills are normal, but that doesn’t make them any less demotivating.
5. Weight loss treatments are not a substitute for diet and exercise
It will feel like you’re doing everything right but still not losing a pound. During plateaus, the best thing to do is keep the faith, and realize that this is proof of how far your body has come. The human body is highly adaptive, the key to sustained weight loss is to keep it guessing. Try different iterations of exercises, or up your weights, or even mix up your diet to jump start your body into weight loss mode once again.
This is a terrible misconception, and it does more harm than good.
A nutritious diet plan and effective fitness routine are essential to losing weight with or without supplemental treatments. What’s more, weight loss treatments are only meant for a particular category of people.
Those who are obese with BMI over 30 and those who are overweight with pre-existing conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes are recommended to take weight loss medications like Orlistat. However, even among these, it is only prescribed for those who are unable to lose weight after repeated attempts at lifestyle and behavioural changes and can prove they will comply with dietary changes and physical activity plans.
If you come under these categories, then go ahead and book an online consultation with the medical experts at Click Pharmacy. You can receive an online prescription and order the medication you require through their excellent online services.
As with every aspect of life, there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution to weight loss. People have different body types, metabolisms and food preferences. Bodies hold on to fat in different ways and have different reactions to exercise. But that is precisely the beauty of it. When you have the correct mindset, you will realize that there is no greater adventure than that of self-discovery and learning to appreciate your body for showing you what you are truly capable of, both in weight loss and in life.
