An Excerpt:
“Every year, the world continues to open up for me, and so for those starting out, just don’t get discouraged, and if you really love it, then do the work and be consistent and persistent,” says Sulmers. “You will break through.”
This type of work mantra has been applied well throughout Sulmers’s career, including her blog Fashion Bomb Daily, which she started while working in the editorial department of Real Simple in 2006. The platform’s first two years involved Sulmers balancing both her full-time job and her side project, which served as a means to explore her growing interest in fashion blogging. “If you go back to some of our first posts, it’s pictures of some of my coworkers or pictures of people on their lunch break outside in Rockefeller Center,” recalls Sulmers.
Who doesn’t love a show-stopping, look-at-me heel. The type of shoe that makes admirers stop to ask “where did you find such a fabulous shoe?” all while giving you some serious fashion points to boot.
British Designer Kat Maconie does all this, and some fun with it. After high-demand the brand has decided to bring back their Aya sandal ready for Fall/Winter 19/20. The original design incorporated more tropical colors, finished with a pair of pom-poms. The proved to be so popular, she even expanded the collection to include versions with a shorter heel.
The updated bird inspired heel showcases a deeper jewel toned feel, crystal fringing and other embellishments giving the design a more evening shoe vibe. Perfect for the upcoming party season with such a unique, intricate design these shoes are bound to turn heads.
Sitting pretty at $393 these beauties are a splurge, would you rock them?
Jason Rembert presented a beautifully rich collection for his line Aliette during New York Fashion Week.
Known for dressing A-list talent like Issa Rae, Rita Ora, and many more, Rembert fittingly offered red carpet worthy gowns in a sea of colors that would pop on brown skin: yellow, greens, and reds reigned supreme, while metallics, and all black pieces played to those with more classic predilections.
Some of our favorites? Semi sheer skirts that glinted under the lights with slits up the there, a pair of silver pants paired with a one shoulder white tank, and a bow addled color blocked look that is begging to be worn this Awards Season.
It was flawless and a strong showing for a designer who debuted his first collection merely one season ago.
Front row attendees like Dapper Dan, Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss, Vic Mensa, Wouri Vice, and so many more could not contain their excitement.

You ask, we answer! @sexyglam writes, “Hi☺ I need help. I have a gala to attend and the attire is festive black tie. What exactly does that mean?”
Thanks for writing in! Festive Black Tie means adding a fun twist to a typical conservative black tie look: think sequins, sparkles, feathers—or even pants !

Though many grew up knowing actress Parker McKenna Posey as the lovable Kady Kyle on My Wife and Kids, the Los Angeles native is all grown up now! With a role on BET’s Games People Play, a swimsuit line called HoneyDip, and a massive social media following, the pretty young thing is definitely one to watch.
She says, “My wife & kids [was of course a career highlight]!!! I don’t think I truly understood how dope the show was considering I was just a child. But looking back at all the people I got to work with & sharing a screen with legends will always be highlight for me. Being able to start my own business as a young black woman in the world we live in is also really special for me. I put my mind to something & I made it happen.”
And that she did. McKenna Posey’s HoneyDip line, she offers, “Honeydip was something I wanted to create for women to feel confident & sexy! At any shape, size or color. I think it’s important for women to feel confident in their own skin. Although I think confidence comes from within. There’s no better way to show that off than in a bikini! A confident woman is a woman to be reckoned with. “
Over the course of her career journey and a few well publicized romantic relationships, she has learned, “Life is literally what YOU make it. It took me a while to truly comprehend that saying and now it’s stuck with me. In love… don’t be so quick to give your heart away. Not everyone deserves it. Still working on that till this day.. I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve. I’m a Leo and we love loud! But it’s okay to fall in love with yourself, your craft, and your life before you give your all to someone. Give your all to YOU!”
What’s next for Ms. McKenna Posey? “I’m hoping to produce two films I’ve been writing & working on. I’m claiming Games People Play returning in 2020. I’m not finished with the fashion industry just yet! I still have some things in store for all the honeydips. I’m finding ways to give back to the community. I am working on starting my own foundation for homeless/battered women and kids. And of course, [I am] working daily on being my best self and finding new ways to inspire others.”
Two beautiful dolls, and two ways to wear such a trendy product. With great minds come great fashionable choices, and we must say we adore how both outfits look, but who do we think wore it best?

Let’s get into Kash Doll’s trendy choice of denim. We’re loving how simple she preferred to match her attire with an edgy pair of Fashion Nova’s ‘Dayanna’ Skirt. Her look is also elevated with minimal jewelry and a modish addition of a jeweled chain belt. And those sleek pink pumps are such a good choice as well!

Jayda Cheaves opted to go for a more daring look in this monochromatic number. Pairing Fashion Nova’s ‘You Alright’ Stiletto Heels with built in Pants, she kept it flirty and allowed the hot color choice to do most of the talking. Let’s just it was such a bold statement!
Available in White, with mesh details, a deep V neck that’s 90% Nylon and 10% Spandex, this ‘Rumba’ Tulle Bodysuit will only cost you $45! But before you race to checkout to snag this Bomb product, let us know which outfit you’d prefer to rock. Comment below!
For a simple look that’s still trendy but has flavor and subtle appeal, you honestly can’t go wrong with denim. Paired with a bomb top and sleek stilettos, it’s a staple for any Bombshell that’s so indecisive about finding what to wear (trust me, we’ve all been there). Or perhaps you’re pressed for time, but still need an outfit that works, is under budget and quickly put together.
Like mega Bombshell Taina Willaims, Fashion Nova has the kind of styles that you can pair easily with whatever. Rocking her dark denim jeans with Fashion Nova’s ‘Leave You Wanting More’ Crop Top, her look is simple and trendy.
