He dresses our other faves as well, like Issa Rae, who beams on any red carpet she attends; most times in Rembert’s very own fashion line Alliette he debuted last year. Not only is he an astounding stylist that get men like Odell Beckham Jr. together too, he’s a wicked designer that’s emerging in an even bigger light! It’s safe to say, all of his clients are #fLAWless. A silent killer when it comes to wardrobe styling, he lets the outfit do all the talking. Law Roach is a proclaimed Image Architect and celebrity stylist, that’s accredited for transforming clients into brands, buttressed by great style.

Starting as a stylist at the tender age of 15 is truly commendable, and speaks volumes on Louie’s work ethic. He makes it known under his posts with a witty hashtag #FashionNEEDSMe, and well…it’s true! 10. Jason Bolden

Main clients: Yara Shahidi, Taraji P. Henson, Janet Mock and Ella Balinska

Who would actually believe that Creative Director, Co-Founder of JSN Studio, and stylist extraordinaire Jason Bolden considered the medical field, first hand!? But thanks to blowing his funds on an expensive bag as a college student, he found his calling working retail at Cynthia Rowley, Oscar De La Renta, and Louis Vuitton to name a few.

He later moved to NYC and opened his vintage boutique ‘The Garment Room’ where he met close friend Gabrielle Union-Wade, and his career soared since then when styling her for an event off whim. That moment followed working with Taraji P. Henson who promised his career could only go up from there with her help in revitalizing his spirit and niche off styling! Now in LA with beau Adair Curtis, the savvy interior designer and co-founder of JSN studio, they work as a partnership while ‘Styling Hollywood’; which is also the name of their amazing Netflix series that follows the couple throughout day as they operate their multi-disciplinary design firm. While we’re heavily immersed in this digital age, where all things social for networking and connecting are done over apps, Haynes put the work in behind the scenes with out actually being on the ‘Gram until this year! Talk about epic. Best believe his name was established with his signature hashtag #NoIGJeremy before even having an @ name. Since then, he’s helped some of our favorite Georgia Peaches keep it glossy and chic before hitting the scene!

Best of 2019: Designer of the Year Including Pyer Moss, Laquan Smith, Iris van Herpen, Olivier Rousteing and More!

For our next voting category we have the mega minds behind the looks and amazing styles of our favorite celebrities: The Designers! There’s no style without the vision coming to life from the sketchbook, to the runway so it’s time for you guys to vote for who had the most innovative collections throughout the year that left us in awe!

In no particular order:

1. Pyer Moss

Founded in 2013, the clothing brand by designer Kerby Jean-Raymond is notable for its designs that showcase an enriched culture for his people, and inspired by his people. Since 2016, after presenting a riveting and socially conscious 12 minute video about political controversy, police brutality, and race on the runway, the label has been pushing the envelope. Through Pyer Moss, Jean-Raymond exclaims the narrative that creatively and passionately activism can be shown boldly through clothing.

He is one of the few that is placed in the forefront as a voice of change in fashion. Pyer Moss is thought-provoking as well as stylish. Since 2017, after announcing a collaboration with Reebok, his taste in clothing continuously evolves. Our beloved celebrities in the Hip-Hop community and urban avenues take to the brand like a badge of honor. Marching to beat of his own drum, his label carves a lane specifically for black people that has seemingly been missing in the history of fashion for some time. Jean Raymond presents layers of rich history unapologetically, and we applaud him for it.

2. LaQuan Smith

An eponymous label formally debuted in 2013, Laquan Smith simply serves an IT factor like no other. He is a global deliverer of glam, vivacious seams and steamy silhouettes that flatter the female figure. We cherish a designer that can come from such humble beginnings and climb to the top, graciously. Smith started as an intern for BlackBook, and juggled his time working for stylist Elizabeth Sulcer, but utilized the treasured item of a sewing machine left by his passing grandmother to reinforce his passion in becoming a designer.

Since his first garment made up until now, he has dressed and designed for a few of our favorite celebs like Beyoncé, Rihanna, Keke Palmer, Cardi B, Kim Kardashian-West and JLO! From epic collaborations, serving raw and edgy denim with Jordache, to an ASOS partnership in 2018 that boasted sassy separates and chic pieces, Laquan Smith proves that his talents as a designer are limitless!

3. Iris van Herpen

Fashion-forward and innovative are a few words that come to mind when thinking of Dutch designer Iris van Herpen. Founded in 2007, van Herpen has managed to build up her fashion label in a signature form that blurs the lines of art, technology, and haute couture.

Since 2011, Paris Fashion Week has welcomed her collections with open arms and dropped jaws. A past intern of Alexander McQueen and Claude Jongstra, she has mastered the skill of garment construction that has an eclectic 3D element. With womenswear, her main focus for all of her collections, she specializes in fantasy couture with a fiery flare that continues to push the envelope.

4. Olivier Rousteing x Balmain

Appointed at the helm of a groundbreaking fashion house by the tender of 24, Oliver Rousteing has proven his creative prowess as one-of-a kind.  Each collection since 2011 has proven his razor sharp skills to be stellar; after all, he was a designer for Roberto Cavalli.

With the rise of social media overtaking creative circles to be the top form of communication, the young designer has taken the digital generation by storm. From appointing celebrities to be apart of his #BalmainArmy like Beyoncé, Cara Delevingne, the Kardashians, and the Hadids to name a few, to mastering that signature Balmain style of singular silhouettes and sharp shoulders, Rousteing has managed to carve a virtual movement that has solidified his lane in the fashion world.

5. Michael Costello

We were first introduced to the talented Michael Costello as a competing designer on Bravo’s Project Runway in 2010. Week after week he proved himself to be a strong contender and ended up coming in 4th place as a fan favorite! So much so, he competed in Project Runway All Stars and came in second place, and despite him not winning the competition his big moment came just shy of two years later. Nationally in 2014, Costello received major attention when Beyoncé wore his now epic lace white dress to the 56th Annual Grammy Awards!

A moment he considers a turning point in his career, we can accredit Michael Costello for his ability to compliment the female figure with beautiful red carpet gowns, flowy and chic separates, as well as eye popping draping for a daring wow factor. From collaborating with Lou Eyrich to designing Lady Gaga’s gowns for American Horror Story, to winning a nationwide fashion challenge on GMA the same year in 2016, Michael Costello has managed to make the impossible possible with his talent and determination!

6. Virgil Abloh

Those quoted words of a label known as ‘Off-White’ is so distinct, and you have to know who’s responsible by now: Ghanaian American designer Virgil Abloh. Rewind time to 2009, after scoring an internship with best friend Kanye West at Fendi, Virgil Abloh entered the fashion world and took the bull by the horns…internationally. The two individuals collaborated on various fashion projects, with Virgil Abloh eventually appointed as Kanye West’s creative director. Now the artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear, the trajectory of luxury street wear has shifted to greater heights with the help of Abloh’s crafty and cunning eye.

7. Christian Siriano

As the youngest designer to ever win Bravo’s Project Runway at 23, Christian Siriano’s eponymous label was released to the world in 2008 for the world to rave over; as if his challenge wins of epic designs from the season weren’t enough! Christian Siriano has been a force to be reckoned with, and he has solidified his place in the fashion industry with his lustrous and enchanting collections that keeps his clients glowing.

From Billy Porter’s jaw-dropping tuxedo gown at the Oscars, and Niecy Nash gleaming like a glitter goddess in a pink shimmery number, his talent speaks for itself!

8. Dapper Dan

Unapologetically “dapper” than them all, the dashing harlemite Mr. Daniel Day better known as Dapper Dan, has made a movement with his passion, and it has inspired the culture like no other. A designer, haberdasher and couturier, his rise is no accident, and his just due is certainly long over.

Accredited for bringing fly glamour and chic to the urban underbelly of NYC, Dapper Dan is a pioneer for making “knock-ups”, a necessity. Before his partnership with Gucci, the cocaine 80s in Harlem, NY were his stomping grounds of being the go-to tailor for Hip-Hop’s Elite. From drug kingpins to rappers Eric B and Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, LL Cool J, and Mike Tyson they’ve all had the honor of receiving his signature dose of swagger. Despite the controversy regarding his custom pieces in his boutique that opened in 1982, his venture with Gucci today proves how treasured Mr. Dan’s vision is, and how much of a gift he is to American culture.

9. Marc Jacobs

It takes a clever mind to transform a line of hand-knit sweaters and build his craft into a multi-million dollar business. But having a creative gene and knack for fashion like thee Marc Jacobs, it’s a no brainer! Jacobs had an early start as a stock boy for a boutique that specialized in avant-garde while attending Parsons: The New School in NYC.

It wasn’t long before his hand-knit sweaters evolved into a collaboration with Robert Duffy, to a collection designed in 1986 that bore his own name. In 1997 he was appointed as Louis Vuitton’s Creative Director and Marc by Marc Jacobs was formed in 2001, where lines of perfumes, signature sultry scents, and ready-to-wear collections expanded the designers creative prowess and power. Throughout his career Marc Jacobs has proven himself to be a trailblazer in the fashion industry with his mega mind and innovation.

That does it!

Claire’s Life: The Sister Love MJB Pop Up Shop with Simone Smith and Mary J. Blige + Shop SIS Jewelry this Holiday Season!

Happy Sunday, y’all!

Last night, I popped into a Sister Love MJB Jewelry pop up event at Aloft Hotel in Long Island, hosted by Simone I. Smith and Mary J. Blige.

In case you haven’t heard of Sister Love MJB, here’s the 411: accessories lover Simone I. Smith launched her eponymous jewelry line in 2011 to satisfy her passion for fashion accessories and also give back to her community. A 14-year-cancer survivor, it was important for Simone that a portion of proceeds of each jewelry sale went back to the American Cancer Society.

In 2018, Simone partnered with long time friend Mary J. Blige to create Sister Love MJB. Their collection references hip hop culture of the 80’s and 90’s with big silver or gold hoops, door knockers, and gold chains.

The collection immediately took off, with fly fashionistas like Misa Hylton, Taraji P. Henson, Tamron Hall, Missy Elliott, Keke, and so many more rocking their accessories for everything from regular outings to TV appearances.

Last night, guests, friends, and family came to shop the collection for the holidays. Beats were bumping, Ciroc and wine were flowing, and everyone had a great time shopping for a great cause! I said hey to friends Nina Cooper, Duckie Confetti, and of course Simone and Mary!

I personally LOVE Sister Love MJB. As a hoops girl, I really don’t need more in my jewelry box than my Sister Love MJB hoops in silver or gold. I have a few more items on my wish list for Christmas, including their Nefertiti necklace covered in Crystals (raise your hand if your mom had one of those growing up) and their blinged out Bam Beauties hoops. So Bomb!

Shop their selection here. Tell them I sent you.

For the night, I wore a dress from FashionBombDailyShop.com, a tiger print coat from Haus of Shea, Balenciaga boots, SIS Loves MJB earrings, and a grenade bag from Bruce & Glen. Hair from The Virgin Hair Fantasy.

What do you think?

GREAT GIFT IDEAS FOR ANY OCCASION

Do you often feel stuck when selecting gifts for your loved ones? Well, the good news is that you are not alone, as many people find themselves in your shoes time and again. You have probably racked your brain for ideas but cannot seem to get an answer. After all, you cannot hand your husband cufflinks each time his birthday comes up. And for a 7 year anniversary gift, you cannot go with the standard options. Here are some great gift ideas that will work with any occasion:

A gold rose
This gift will impress any of the special women in your life, more so your wife or girlfriend. It embodies months of hard work, which serves as a representation of the efforts you take to keep the relationship going. Plus, it is beautiful and is a gift that she can hold on to for years to come. So if you need something for that birthday or anniversary coming up soon, voila!

An eye mask
Let’s suppose you have a loved one who likes to take naps but cannot get a conducive environment for this. Maybe your friend likes to doze off in the office after work. But the lights flashing around them get in the way, and they have to make do with eye bags for the better partof the day. An eye mask would solve this problem. And it gets even better if you get one with a
message. It could read anything from ‘do not disturb’ to more obscene phrases. You know your friend best, so choose accordingly.

A Pamper Pack
No, your wife does not have to wait till the weekend to get some me-time at the spa. She can get it from the comfort of her home if you gift her with a pamper pack. It should have everything from scrubs to cleansers to moisturizers. When she’s done at work, she can get to pamper
herself. Make this time easier for her by handling the chores, cooking or getting takeout, and handling the pets and kids. It will not be much of me-time if she has to care for the house and kids in the middle of her pedicure. Show her how sensitive and appreciative you are.

A Book
What does your loved one like to read? For that funny friend, you can get a book of jokes which they can read over and over till they cram some of the phrases. For someone who is always coaching you on money and frowning upon extra expenditure, how about a book on finance?
Match the genre of the book to the personality of the recipient. And as they flip the pages, learning something all the while, they can think of you. If you know of someone who would rather write than read, a journal would be in order.

A Massager
Some people often suffer aches as a result of strain on their bodies. Maybe your librarian friend tires from lifting and arranging books all day. Or your friend always complains about wrist aches from handling reports all day. Maybe your wife complains of backaches after she’s done
working at the office and dealing with the kids at home. You can be a lifesaver by gifting a loved one with a massager. Figure out where the ache is and get a machine that can effectively target the affected muscles. As they sit back and await the easing of tension, your loved ones can think
of how amazing you are.

A great gift is all about understanding what your loved one needs at a given time. If the cold season has them battling cases of flu right, left and center, get them warm socks and boots.

Address a need, and you will have the gifting process down to an art.

4 Useful Tips to Earn Good Score in the College

College comes with both pleasant and challenging experiences. While your friends are always ready to throw a party, your teachers are giving you more homework and assignments to complete on time. In such a situation, maintaining good grades can be very challenging. Thus, most students find themselves stuck between taking good marks and keeping up with their other activities. If you are one of them, then we’ve put together a few tips for you to score well. To learn about them, continue reading!

Attend all Classes Regularly

You must be thinking that this was the most obvious one, but we had to mention it on the top. Many students skip their classes regularly for one reason or another. If you want to attain good grades, purposeful, intentional, and responsible, then the big part of doing so is to take classes. Most students tend to skip classes thinking they can cover the syllabus from the book. However, even if your teacher follows the textbook closely, sitting and listening to the lecture will help you absorb classroom material. Once you get into a trouble with assignments, you contact domyhomework123.com to get expert help, but no one can attend your classes instead of you. Yes, colleges offer flexibility in attendance, but if you are not skipping classes, then the chances are you’ll get good grades by the end of the year.

Use Time Wisely

Time can be your best friend and the biggest enemy in the college. Even if you are the most organized person and never procrastinate, it can be challenging for you to utilize the time wisely. Therefore, what you should do is to complete the more difficult tasks first. This way, you are making sure that you have enough time to finish your work. After completing one task, reward yourself with a break to freshen up your mind. If you are having difficulty to manage the larger project, then break it into smaller ones as they are easy to accomplish. The most vital thing is not to overextend yourself. In colleges, you’re asked to join several clubs. If you want to focus on your studies well, then join only one or two and say no to others.

Learn to Write Essays

Submitting well-written papers is a guarantee for getting higher marks. When you are in college, you will have to write essays on a number of topics and subjects. Almost every teacher will demand you to write a high-quality essay as a part of the curriculum. Those students who have good writing skills can write essays. On the other hand, those who have no such skills consider any reliable essay writer service to get their essays written in a top-notch quality. If you are looking for an easier way to attain marks, then writing service might be your pick. However, if you want to write it yourself, then make sure to learn how to write an effective and high-quality essay.

Do Not Hesitate to Ask For Help

Now, there will be times when you’ll have to ask for help from your classmates or professors. Many people don’t ask for assistance just because they are ashamed. You must keep in mind that there is no shame to ask for assignment help. In fact, if you have any doubts and questions, it is recommended to look for guidance from classmates, professors, and even parents. This way, you will be able to come up with better and well-written content. But if you are still not confident and don’t want to ask for help, then you can always turn to a reliable online service such as https://domyhomeworkforcheap.com/
