Lori Harvey Wears $100 Pair of Jaquemus Orange and Black Ball Hoop Earrings With Future In Jamaica

These two have been all over the media lately, and I mean why not? They are young, attractive and living by their own rules.

Lori celebrated her 23rd birthday in Jamaica with Future and friends, and in true birthday girl fashion, it looks like she had it her way.

In addition to the AP watch and Christian Dior bathing suit worn by the young socialite, Lori’s gold hoop earrings are also a bit of a splurge. At $100, these gold toned hooped earrings with dangling pendants are perfect for vacation.

Complimenting each other, the orange and olive pendants dangle through the large gold hoop. They can elevate a simple tank and stand out beautifully when hair is pulled back.

Bloomingdales Bandit Jason Gilbertie Causes $100,000 Worth of Damage in Rage Spree

Forget a shopping spree! Connecticut based Jason Gilbertie went on a rage spree at a local Bloomingdales, turning over tables and knocking over perfumes, racking up over $100,000 worth of damage:

According to ABC News, ” A Norwalk man was arrested for allegedly trashing the Bloomingdale’s cosmetics department at the brand new SoNo Collection Monday night. Jason Gilbertie is charged with assault, criminal mischief, interfering with an officer and breach of peace. When officers arrived, they say they found the cosmetics department a mess, with glass display cases broken and merchandise knocked over. The incident was so loud, some customers mistook it for gunfire and hid. Officials say there was no indication Gilbertie had a gun. According to the police report, the store estimates about $100,000 worth of damage. Police say the incident began when Gilbertie punched a random shopper unprovoked, and then walked into Bloomingdale’s and started toppling display cases. When a security guard tried to stop him, Gilbertie allegedly got violent and punched the guard in the face. Once police arrived, Gilbertie was arrested after a brief struggle. Police are calling it an isolated incident and say shoppers have nothing to be concerned about. Gilbertie was arraigned Tuesday where his bond was set at $50,000. A judge ordered him to stay away from the mall if he gets out.”

This is one of the craziest fits of rage we’ve seen in a long time.

Missoni Opens Its Second Boutique in Dubai

Missoni officially opens its second UAE boutique in the Fashion Avenue extension of the Dubai Mall; a top-tier destination offering a five-star experience to the global, luxury fashion consumer.

The new 146m2  space was conceived through the evolving collaboration between Angela Missoni and Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola; unveiling a revamped design concept that reinterprets the brand’s signature codes in a contemporary, novel, and vibrant way. It is within this luminous and intimate environment that the meticulously-crafted Womenswear, Menswear and Accessories collections take center stage.

The rose-copper façade becomes a distinguishing characteristic of the space amidst the sleek white and grey-veined marble structure that houses it; beckoning one to enter the boldly colourful, eclectic, and nonchalant world of the Maison. Upon entrance, one is transported into a sensorial play on texture, pattern and colour.

Guests are greeted by a centrepiece wall that recreates Missoni’s iconic chevron patterns using multicoloured acrylic panels. This motif continues in the chevron parquet flooring, while frosted rose and bronze-tinted glass help delineate the space and serve as tasteful backdrops to the collections showcased throughout on multi-level platforms. Wooden and metallic details further accentuate the space to create a cohesive whole that perfectly balances heritage and modernity, while drawing one further and further into the fantastical realm of Missoni.

Why Body Contouring has the Results that Dietary Fads Can’t Match

Body shaming is a relatively new term but as a concept it has arguably been around for more than a century. Ever since the first printed publications, be they magazines or newspapers, started to appear and circulate through society, there has been implied pressure on readers to achieve a perfect look that matches the carefully posed photos that appear in print. Body contouring machines are a classic reflection of this demand for the ideal outward appearance – and it’s an approach that doesn’t necessarily require dieting or exercise.

Body contouring machines are also a sign of the growing popularity of non-invasive procedures. They are a quick and relatively pain-free way of achieving that desired body shape without agonizing surgical procedures, uncomfortable recovery periods and possible scarring and soreness. Body contouring is also relatively low-risk and stops people taking on the additional risks of unproven dietary fads, many of which can do more harm than good.

Why the interest in body contouring?

The concept of body contouring is arguably already being acted out in a virtual sense by many people through their use of social media and photo apps. As a practice that is solely focused on outward appearance, actual body contouring concentrates on physically altering body shape to a more pleasing visible state for the individual. Traditionally this was taken care of by physical exercise and diet, which had the extra benefits of actually boosting health and nutrition levels in the process.

The huge popularity of photo editing apps, many of which are built into social media platforms, shows that a form of body contouring has already been taking place for years. While there has been substantial criticism of such apps for encouraging the body shaming crisis, there is little doubt that their continued influence reflects a growing desire among people to alter their faces and bodies in a non-surgical way.

The positive impact of cosmetic interventions has been proven in clinical studies. Many people have seen improvements in their overall psychological wellbeing with benefits for their social lives, leisure activities and sex lives. Some of the more extreme examples of invasive cosmetic surgery are far less likely in the type of non-invasive processes employed by body contouring machines, meaning there is much to offer in this field for anyone unhappy with their appearance.

How popular is body contouring going to be?

Cosmetic experts point to body contouring being a key beauty trend for 2020. And this is a view backed up by market analysts, who predict non-invasive and minimally invasive fat reduction procedures to be worth more than $1 billion by 2022. Technological advancements promise to push body contouring even further away from discomfort, opening up more areas of the body than ever before for possible treatment.

New innovations hold even more promise for body contouring machines. These include a new approach to actually build and develop muscle mass, through removing the fat areas covering places like abdominal muscles. Other developments are due to see the greater use of warmth and heat in processes used by CoolSculpting, which was one of the first body contouring machine treatments on the market but uses intense applications of extreme cold to literally freeze fat off.

How do body contouring machines work?

Although there are a number of new approaches emerging on the market, the usual approach up to now has been the CoolSculpting method of freezing fat cells off the body. It utilizes the natural process of selective cryolipolysis, where the body sheds dead cells; the body contouring machine freezes fat cells until they essentially become those dead cells – the body then rids itself of them. The freezing process has a further benefit in that it can target the fat cells without damaging the skin or any healthy cells and tissue that is close by.

What body contouring is not is a weight loss technique. Diets and exercise are still the recommended methods of achieving weight loss, although it is noted that many people confuse their motivation to lose weight with their unhappiness with or failure to appreciate their unique body shape. So body contouring will be a welcome solution for many people who already have reasonably healthy diets and for whom further weight loss may actually be a risk.

Another fact to consider is that weight loss doesn’t actually remove fat cells – it just makes them smaller. The approach of many body contouring machines is to provide a more permanent solution: CoolSculpting in particular is set up to remove 20-25% of fat cells in a treated area. This focus on removing fat cells is also particularly timely in the modern age of heavy consumption of fatty foods, as this practice has meant more fat ends up in fat cells because our livers are unable to process the excess fat.

Body contouring without being invasive

The development of more sophisticated body contouring machines means more people than ever can address the areas of their body they are most unhappy with. This in turn could lead to less reliance on ‘virtual’ solutions that merely provide a short-term confidence boost, such as photo editing apps. And with the promise of pain-free treatments it’s even more likely that people will opt for this approach of improving their body image.

Cosmetic Dentistry is Making Significant Strides Over the Past Several Years

Cosmetic Dentistry Services was once reserved for only the rich and famous.  The term itself simply means improving the appearance of an individual’s teeth and their smile, but it does a lot more than that.  Cosmetic dentistry can improve overall dental hygiene, enhance chewing abilities, and increase better nutrition. Teeth can look better but also function better with cosmetic dentistry.

Cosmetic dentistry has a long history, dating back to 700 BC.  Ancient Egyptians and Etruscans started using materials to glue to the front of teeth to improve smiles back then and the practice now is so advanced that the cosmetic dentist uses a variety of composites and procedures to make someone’s smile as natural and beautiful as possible.  Back in ancient times, oral hygiene was already becoming part and parcel of cultures and Egyptians started using sticks to clean their teeth daily. Etruscans started using gold to fill in teeth that were decaying or that had breakage and gaps. All these procedures are part and parcel of what started the trend in cosmetic dentistry.  Porcelain crowns started seeing an emergence as early as the 1900s but were very fragile and broke easily. The Romans are credited with first using a form of toothpaste made of animal hooves and other powders, to scrub and cleanse the teeth from plaque build-up. Porcupine quills and bird feathers were used as the early Roman toothbrushes of choice.  In 1938 the first plastic bristled toothbrush was officially patented.

This hygienic aspect of cosmetic dentistry cannot be overlooked as although cosmetic dentistry is always thought of as purely “cosmetic” it does imbue better health, better oral hygiene, and of course, higher self-esteem in individuals.   A great smile can improve self-esteem in individuals as bad teeth can damage one’s ability to socialize and prohibit a person from engaging in activities they once enjoyed.

Before the newest techniques in cosmetic dentistry actors across the globe used to have substandard  veneers glued onto their front teeth before going before the cameras. These would be applied each day and removed each night and did not have the same natural look and feel of cosmetic dentistry today.  Some actors today still use this technique but it’s much more advanced and the veneers can stay on the teeth for longer periods of time.

Cosmetic dentistry now is much more common than previously due to the fact, that more cosmetic dentists are in practice there, and the fact that more individuals want to look and feel their very best.  Veneers are simply the practice of attaching porcelain or other composite materials to teeth to recreate the look and feel of more youthful teeth or to make teeth that are less than perfect look almost perfect.   A patient can practically craft the type of smile they are seeking, and the possibilities are seemingly boundless. The feel of the new materials is comfortable and therefore the practice of cosmetic dentistry is booming with new cosmetic dentists seemingly popping up yearly.  The newer materials can be porcelain or composites and are so comfortable patients do not even realize their teeth are actually veneers.

Although veneers and cosmetic dentistry is not inexpensive many cosmetic dentists are now partnering with financing companies.  Insurance does not cover the cost of cosmetic dentistry, so adding payment methods to a cosmetic dentistry practice can make the procedures more affordable for many people.  The overall effect of any cosmetic dentistry procedure, however, like anywhere else, does depend upon the skill of the cosmetic dentist. Research and speaking to other clients should be necessary and pictures of previous work done by a cosmetic dentist should be requested.

A good cosmetic dentist will gladly provide consultations and images of their work as well as final costs and have a treatment plan in place for any type of cosmetic dentistry.  While this is not considered major surgery, cosmetic dentistry should yield results that a patient is happy with and have that patient literally smiling from ear to ear when the procedures are over.  After all, when seeking a great smile, a patient should be smiling when the procedure is over and done with! Most good cosmetic dentists want happy patients and do want to produce great smiles for them.
