The 7 Kinds of Leggings You Need to Ensure You’re Ready for Any Occasion

Leggings are considered a closet staple for a reason. They’re versatile and comfy, making them suitable to wear with different outfits for all sorts of occasions. If you feel like you could use a few more pairs for their practicality and sartorial opportunities, here are the different kinds of leggings you might want to add to your wardrobe:

Casual Leggings

These will be your go-to for everyday wear, whether you’re going for casual elegance or a lazy-day ensemble. Ideally, you want these leggings to be durable and completely opaque so you can wear them to work, to dinner and drinks, or to head out to run some errands. Go for comfortable and breathable fabrics like those that can be found in a pair of high-quality cotton leggings so you don’t have to worry about feeling stifled throughout the day. When it comes to colors and designs, go for minimalist prints or solid neutral colors so you know these leggings can and will go with anything you wear.

Workout Leggings

If you take your workouts seriously and prefer leggings as your choice of gym wear, you’ll need a pair or two that can offer you the support you need. It’s not enough to settle for leggings that are comfortable and stretchy. You need a pair that offers durability and flexibility as well.

That said, choose leggings made of Lycra and spandex blends. Not only do they feel weightless on your legs while you’re working out, but they also have odor-resistant qualities that can keep undesirable smells at bay.

Additionally, these types of leggings wick off moisture so you won’t end up soaking wet after an intense workout. You don’t have to settle for boring designs when it comes to your workout leggings, either. Cute gym clothes are always a great motivator, after all.

Shiny Leggings

If your signature style is about sparkle and pizzazz, you definitely need a pair of shiny leggings in your closet. They effortlessly give off an effervescent energy no matter what kind of outfit you’re wearing them with. You can rock them in the gym to show off your yoga poses or put them on for additional support as you carry out Tabata exercises.

If you’re not much of a gym person, you can pair these leggings with a nice top and a pair of heels or boots whenever you have plans to go out with your friends. Whether you choose a pair with a bit of sheen or full-on glitter, shiny leggings can always make any outfit more interesting and fun.

Dressy Leggings

If you often attend parties or formal events, deciding what to wear each time can be a huge hassle. But a formal outfit doesn’t always have to be made up of a dress and heels or a nice top and skirt.

That said, having a go-to pair of dressy leggings can help you overcome outfit fatigue, especially if you tend to be in a rush. Indeed, you can easily construct and plan an outfit around them while still looking fabulous and appropriate for the occasion. So if you’re out of ensemble ideas, look more dressed up and formal by wearing velvet or faux leather leggings.

Printed Leggings

Make your leggings the attention-grabbing part of your whole outfit by getting a pair of printed leggings. The patterns can give you more possibilities when it comes to ensembles because you can wear your plain tops and simple shoes by themselves and still end up with an eye-catching ensemble. From small and minimalistic patterns to loud and colorful prints, you can revamp your whole wardrobe with several pairs of printed leggings.

Faux Leather Leggings

A pair of faux leather leggings combines stylishness and comfort into one package. They can make you look tough and fierce but can also polish your overall look. Given this versatility, you can easily wear them to different places and occasions. Faux leather leggings can be styled to look work-appropriate, laid-back, or even glam. It just takes the right top, accessories, and shoes to pull off any particular outfit you have in mind.

Jeggings

For individuals who may not be comfortable wearing leggings just yet, jeggings can become your new best friend. Because they look so similar to jeans, most people will hardly notice that you’re wearing leggings.

Additionally, leggings offer far more flexibility and comfort compared to jeans. And in most cases, the best way to wear leggings is to do so stealthily. In that regard, jeggings are also more appropriate to wear in public compared to other types of leggings.

Leggings might look like a drab piece of clothing to some, but the right color and styling can make them instantly look fab. Worn properly, you can stay comfy and on-trend with these versatile and stylish pieces of clothing. We hope that the tips mentioned above prove useful whenever you have to pick the right kind of leggings for any occasion.

Rookies Beware Of These Mistakes While Vaping

Vaping isn’t rocket science, to begin with; however, it demands a bit of practice if one is a beginner. The vaping community has been growing strong over the last few years, all thanks to the power of the internet and its various tools. Vaping has become a favorite among youngsters when it comes to leisure activities. It is indeed a viable and good substitute for cigarettes; smokers are now enjoying vaping more than ever.

One can definitely get started with vaping if he/she feels like doing so. But once the decision has been made, it’s just a matter of buying the device and getting started with the basics. Vaping has a lot to offer when it comes to the number of devices, tricks, and flavors. People today share their experiences and whatnot on various platforms, social media sites, community pages, etc. vaping content can be seen at a number of places.

Staying away from trouble: Mistakes to avoid

Just like everything else, vaping has its own set of rules as well. One has to follow them at all times in order to get the best experience out of his/her device. Mistakes always lead to the formation of better strategies and whatnot. However, repeating the same mistakes, again and again, such as not choosing 7 Daze e-liquid, can result in many bad experiences as well. The user definitely has to make sure that his/her vaping experience doesn’t get ruined by such mistakes.

As far as blunders are concerned, they can happen at any point in time. What might appear to be a puny mistake can definitely turn out to be a blunder if proper attention isn’t paid. Vaping is a leisure experience, and nobody wants to ruin it, getting prepped for a new experience is always a wonderful addition to the mix. However, forgetting the basics at the same time isn’t a good thing. To prevent this from ever taking place, here are a few major mistakes that beginners need to avoid in order to have an excellent vaping experience.

  • Not keeping track of the e juice

The word flavor is a direct synonym for the e-juice present inside every vaping device’s e-liquid canister. It is what gives the user his/her desired vapor cloud after all the liquid passes through the coil, and vapors arise in the process. Since portable devices have smaller canisters, one has to be careful with the usage of the e-juice.

Furthermore, people also commit mistakes when they ignore the clear signs that tell them to stop for a refuel or change of canisters. This leaves them unaware of the empty situation.

  • Not carrying the charger when needed

Power is provided by the batteries present in the device itself. Now keeping an eye on the battery level is crucial as it always tells the amount of charge still left. A good maintenance cycle will always provide the user with longer battery life.

Proper charging sessions are required to keep the device running as well. What use is a filled canister if the device isn’t charged and ready for usage? Therefore, people need to keep the battery charge in check at all times.

  • Poor coil maintenance

The coil is perhaps considered to be the heart of a vaping device. This is where the conversion process takes place. Hence, it becomes imperative for the user to take care of this section really well.

Coils are made of materials such as nichrome and stainless steel, to name a few. Changing them at regular intervals makes sure that the vape cloud flow is smooth. Resistance numbers determine the life of a coil; if the resistance is very high, the coil might just burn up. If the resistance is very low, the coil might not even heat the e-juice properly.

  • Choosing the worst device from the lineup

The cheapest option isn’t always the best when it comes to vaping devices. Companies do their best while marketing their products at feasible rates. This becomes an eye-catching offer for many; however, a lot of companies also provide pretty bad products for the price tag as well.

The user should also keep an eye out for the device that has garnered positive reception from users. Survey data also helps a lot in determining the best product at times. That can definitely help as well.

Kerby Jean-Raymond Sets the Record Straight for Possible Accusations of Copying Kanye West’s Yeezy ‘Turrelliens’ Shoes

Earlier today, Pyer Moss designer Kerby Jean-Raymond took to Instagram to clear the air regarding comparisons between the yellow Pyer Moss Sculpt sneakers and Kanye West’s Yeezy “Turrelliens”. On Saturday, Kanye West previewed several unreleased Yeezy sneakers including the “Turrelliens”. In an effort to get ahead of the “hypebeasts” comparing and accusing Pyer Moss of copying the Yeezy shoe, Kerby Jean-Raymond pulled out some receipts today to prevent rumors of “copying”.

Through his Instagram, Kerby shared files of the Pyer Moss Sculpt sneaker and its design process which dated back to as early as July of 2018. Not to mention, Kerby even wore the sneakers and previewed them at Paris Fashion Week in January of this year. Following comparison pictures and file dates, Kerby explains, “You know…for good measure…before the ‘kids’ start saying we copied something we designed over 2 years ago.”

Kerby Jean-Raymond found the whole situation to be quite laughable with no hard feelings stating ‘”I’m honestly just laughing on this side” and “all love to his team and him”. The purpose of sharing the images and dates was to simply educate people before the rumors of “copying” Yeezy began to circulate.

Throwback Thursdays #TBT: The Style Evolution of Solange Knowles

Happy Friday Eve! Every Thursday, we highlight the style evolution of a celebrity whose looks has been known to capture the attention the industry. Today, we are honoring Solange Knowles and her style evolution throughout the 2000s:

Early in her career, Solange’s style can be described as an newcomer to the indie-meets-diva aesthetic that she still follows today! Her early style made her one to truly watch.

During the 2010s, we see Solange began to experiment more with bold prints and styles, giving us a high fashion meets Boho-chic Black girl vibe! She starts to explore the “unconventional” more with her style to reflect the direction of her music.

Nowadays, we see Solange as quite the visionary when it comes to her style! It can best be described as eccentric and still quite experimental as she plays around with vibrant colors and unique silhouettes matched with independent designer names.

Five Fashion Items You Should Toss in The Trash

Nothing stays in fashion forever. Celebrities come and go, technology that was once indispensable becomes obsolete, and some items of clothing go out of style. That’s sad when it applies to you some of your favorite items or accessories, but it’s not always permanent. Sometimes, if you put out of fashion clothes at the back of your wardrobe, they’ll eventually work their way back into style, and you can pull them back out again. By that point, your friends will probably have forgotten that you ever owned them to begin with, and you can pass them off as a new purchase!

Unfortunately, this advice doesn’t apply to anything. Some things have gone out of fashion and are never coming back again. Even though there have been some fashion surprises over the years, including the return of 1970s flares and 1980s jackets, there are some garments that have been permanently exiled from fashion runways and celebrity parties, and they won’t be welcomed back again. If you have any of them stashed away somewhere, it’s time to wave goodbye to them and make way for something new.

We could probably make a list of twenty or perhaps even thirty items that ought to be thrown out if you have them, but for now, let’s focus on just five!

Furry Boots

Allow us to be real for a second here; furry boots should never have happened. They’re impractical, they’re horrifically uncomfortable in hot weather, and they’re ruined the moment they get wet. Looking back, we should never have gone crazy for them in the first place. We don’t even know who to blame for introducing them, although we have a nasty suspicion that it might have been Snooki from “Jersey Shore.” Aside from the fact that you have to ditch them the moment you spill anything on them or get them wet, furry boots are unflattering. They’ll either make your lower legs look fat, or your upper legs look short. Sometimes they’ll do both at once. That’s not a look anyone should want, and it’s a good reason to throw them away!

Ballroom Gowns

When’s the last time you wore a ballroom gown? You might have bought a beautiful one with the intention of wearing it to a wedding, but when did you last go to a wedding that had such a formal dress wear requirement? In fact, when’s the last time you went anywhere that required such formal dress? Ballroom gowns used to be good for three occasions; weddings, casinos, and dancing. Most of us don’t dance. Weddings aren’t as demanding on your wardrobe as they used to be. Casinos have started making their way to the internet as online slots websites instead. Because land-based casinos are now in direct competition with online slots websites, they’re less strict about what you have to wear to get in than they used to be. Needless to say, you don’t have to wear a ballgown to play online slots. We won’t deny that some of them look pretty, but they’re increasingly redundant, and they take up a lot of space that could be used for something else.

Baggy Jeans

You might recall baggy jeans starting off as a trend among fans of rock music in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and then crossing over from there into mainstream fashion. Just as soon as they arrived, they disappeared. That was bad news for the companies that made them, like JNCO. They’ve tried to make a few comebacks since then, including a strong push as recently as 2019, but the public has never fallen for the trick a second time, and they remain unpopular. We were never keen on them as men’s fashionwear, but we like them even less as options for women. They’re shapeless, they make you look wider than you really are, and there’s no way of wearing them that’s flattering. On top of that, much as we hate to break it to you, you’re not 18 anymore, and nobody’s listening to Limp Bizkit!

Velour Tracksuits

One photo of a celebrity wearing a particular type of garment can be all it takes to send sales of that garment rocketing. Paris Hilton probably didn’t think she was doing anything other than dressing for comfort when she was snapped wearing a Juicy Couture velour tracksuit several years ago, but she started a trend that took over the world. It soon felt like everyone was walking around with the brand’s name stamped across their backside, regardless of whether it suited them or not. Because of some o the people wearing the clothes, the brand gradually came to be seen as trashy instead of classy and eventually shut down all of its stores due to financial difficulties. The Juicy Couture brand has since been resurrected, but that doesn’t mean its velour tracksuits should get the same treatment. We’d rather they stayed in the past.

Platform Shoes

We get it. We liked the Spice Girls. You liked the Spice Girls. Everybody used to like the Spice Girls. As children, they were our heroes. As adults, we have unending admiration for the fact that they managed to both sing and dance in those enormous platform shoes without falling over or breaking their ankles. That doesn’t mean you should still be trying to replicate that achievement today. The 1990s are over, the Spice Girls have all grown up and started families, and we can say with confidence that none of them are ever going to be seen dead in platform shoes again. Every time you go outdoors in a pair of oversized platforms, you’re asking for an accident to happen, and even if it doesn’t, you’ll be stumbling around trying to remain balanced, looking like a drunken deer. It’s impossible to look graceful or elegant with a pair of platforms on, and we think that’s a good reason to introduce them to the trash. Maybe throw those Spice Girls records away at the same time!

We realize that parting with some of these items might be painful because of the memories you associate with them, but it’s for your own good. If you leave them in your wardrobe, you might end up accidentally wearing them again one day, and someone might take a picture of you and upload it to the internet. Imagine the embarrassment! Don’t take the risk; take out the trash today.
