Since then he has worked on the faces of Ariana Grande, Joan Smalls and the Kardashians.

We are gearing up for the 2020 FABYs and we’re shining a light on the best in fashion. Since the beginning of quarantine, Verzuz TV has provided battles that has been a great pastime of anticipation and predicting who’s up next!
These were some of the most discussed ‘fits in the culture; Monica rocking a custom Fendi look by Sir Babajagne, Gucci Mane coming through in a Gucci Coat and Gladys Knight slaying in a Badgley Mischka suit.
Kicking off the best Verzuz outfit category we have, Monica in a custom Fendi look . Her ensemble (hat, corset, jacket) and split leather pants were created by Sir Babajagne.
Kollin Carter styled this look with a beret hat cropped jacket , and corset reworked from a Full Fendi trench plus a Fendi skirt.
Included in the design, a pair of extended exposed slit pants and Gianvito Rossi heels which were wrapped in a Fendi leather.
Next coming through was Gucci Mane in Gucci. One of the most talked about Verzuz battles, rounding in about 9.1 millions viewers, included Mr. La Flare letting us know that his outfit cost $10,000!
The infamous look consisted of a $6,300 Gucci Monogram Coat and $795 Christian Louboutin Satin Shoes. Produced from llama wool, the GG stripe motif coat was paired with a satin Orlato Flat scaled with a tone-on-tone rubber sole.
3. Gladys Knight in Badgley Mischka
Last but not least, Gladys Knight slayed in a Badgley Mischka suit. Our souls gleamed with joy, as we hopped on the Midnight Train to Georgia with Gladys. She wore a Badgley Mischka Pink Sequined bell sleeved jacket pricing at $550 and pants for $395 . Styled by Cylinda Davison , Gladys served up glamour in this sharp suit!

Gentle Firm Layer – The Gentle firm layer is created with 1.5 inches of a firmer more supportive layer of latex. This offers more lumbar support and helps to keep your spine in proper alignment. This is the layer that you will lay down on at night when the mattress is flipped for a firmer support.
The soft side of this mattress seems to offer a bit below a medium soft firmness leaving it a bit on the soft side of firmness. Side sleepers will seem to reap many benefits from this side of the mattress, while it offers support and comfort helping to keep them in perfect alignment for a good night’s rest.
The firmer side of the mattress seems that it might not be supportive enough for the side sleeper but offers excellent benefits for the stomach sleeper. It offers enough support to keep the stomach sleeper in proper alignment and have a good night’s sleep.
The motion transfer for both sides of this mattress seems to be very sensitive. If you have a bed partner, that is restless or gets up during the night, consider the fact that you may be awaken by the movement of the bed. Even though the support of this bed will work fine for multiple sleepers, if you are a light sleeper with a restless partner, I would take that into serious consideration.
WinkBeds
The WinkBed offers a combination of coil springs and foam to create a quality and supportive mattress for various sleepers. Let’s take a look.
Cover – The cover is made from Tencel, an all-natural material that is made from Eucalyptus wood cellulose. This material creates a light and breathable cover allowing for a comforting cover to this mattress.
Euro-Pillow Top – This layer is designed from a gel infused foam. It creates a smooth and comfortable layer while it adds firmness and support to comfort the sleeper.

The transfer motion is not super sensitive but with the coils, with heavier motions, it will be felt throughout the mattress. Unless you are a super light sleeper you should not be disturbed from light movements.
Layla
The Layla is a flippable mattress that is made mainly from memory foam and polyfoam that can be turned over to find a different level of comfort. One side of this mattress offers more of a softness while the other side offers more of a firmer feel. This mattress seems to work well for many different sleepers.
Cover – The cover is made from a thick polyester blend that creates a softness and comfort from the top of the mattress.
Comfort – This is the softest side of the mattress and has been created from a 3-inch layer of copper infused memory foam. This foam offers a slow response to pressure so that it allows the sleeper body contouring and sinkage for comfort and support. As memory foam is known to hold in body heat, the gel infusion adds to the coolness of the mattress.
Transition Layer – This layer is designed from a denser polyfoam. It is designed to add support to the upper layers to keep the sleeper from sinking too far down into the bed.
Support – This layer is made from a 4-inch layer of high-density poly foam. This offers the firmness and the shape and support of the mattress. When the soft side is up, this is actually the base of the mattress.
Base – This layer is a 1-inch layer of copper infused memory foam. When this layer is flipped to the top for the sleeping surface, it offers a firmness for a variety of sleepers. With the help of the layers below it, it provides quality support for the sleeper.
The soft side of this mattress is considered soft and offers a sinking sensation into the mattress. This side would be best for side sleepers to get a good night’s rest.
The firmer side of this mattress is very firm, very little sinkage was found. This mattress would be a good choice for back sleepers, giving them the support to the lumbar area and helping to keep them in proper alignment.
The motions transfer of this mattress as a whole, is that even if you are a light sleeper the motion transfer should not disturb you at all. This could make this mattress a good choice even for the lightest sleeper that shares their bed.

This year we have looked to Television shows and movies for a bit of inspiration. Here are the Best Costume Designer of The Year!
The battle all season long was #TeamIssa or #TeamMolly. Though the show may have had us on the edge of our seats , Shiona made sure they did so in style. Since the premiere of Insecure, their costume and design department has tapped into the power of the black aesthetic; making the characters relatable with fashion. With fashion finds from black designers to luxury couture , we can guarantee that Shiona Turini brought the heat!
2. Michelle Cole – Black AF
Some of our favorite TV shows, like In Living Color, gave us a visionary insight into the world of fashion. Michelle Cole is behind some of the greatest looks of all time. Working with Kenya Barris on Black-ish and Grown-ish, the duo decided to team up on Black AF and the stans went wild. Michelle’s tenure as a stylist has us re-creating looks from years ago. It said that Cole is the reason , actress Yara Shahidi is a style icon now, and we love it!
3. Frank Fleming – Power Book 2: Ghost
It is no secrete that Frank Fleming is leaving us in awe with the first season of Power Book 2: Ghost. As the season continues to unfold after its mid-season finale, we can’t help but to bite our nails and find out who wore what next. Power is known for bringing in some heat when it comes to costume and design but Frank may have us way more intrigued then before.
4. Patricia Field – Emily in Paris
From the creators of ‘Sex and the City’, we have been introduced to a new series, Emily In Paris. Emily is a marketing executive from Chicago who was hired at a marketing firm in Paris to provide an American perspective for their company. Patricia Field brings Emily’s personality to life through her fashion . Of course in a city where fashion is like food, Patricia took no prisoners in slaying Emily on the screen. She has worked on sets like “The Devil Wears Prada’ , Ugly Betty, and the ‘Sex and the City ‘ movie sequels as well as TV shows. Her vibrant style has the stans ready to take risk within their own wardrobes.
5. Provi Fulp – Black Lightning
You have never seen super hero’s so fly before like in the series Black Lightning. That’s because Provi Fulp has entered the chat. Not only were some of our favorite heroes fighting in fly suits, they knew how to clean up to. With the balance of living a normal life and helping save their town Freeland, Provi did not hold back in letting us really experience life with the Pierce’s. Working on sets like Being Mary Jane, Love Is, and Girls Trip; which the character Sasha (played by Queen Latifa ) was inspired by our very own EIC Claire Sulmers, Provi Fulp keeps pushing the envelope.
6. Amy Roberts – The Crown
Netflix released a series called ‘The Crown‘, a fictional story of Queen Elizabeth’s reign during the early 21st century. Soon after the release, people noticed how closely the fashions matched real life events of the Queen’s tenure on the throne. More so Princess Diana and a close look into her life. Amy Roberts is the mastermind behind the infamous styling that has the world in shambles. Especially with the close resemblance of the Princess’s’ wedding dress. Amy‘s notable evolution of the families artistic fashion has her featured as one of the best in the industry.
