You ask, we answer @fashionbombmen ! @experiencebykymsays, “Hey hey! Can you tell me what brand is Kyrie Irving’s coat from the game in Brooklyn?” @prettyyoungtee_writes, “Hi!!! Can we find out what jacket this is that Kyrie Irving is wearing?” @tra3c asks, “Where’s this jacket from?”
While the look was modeled over an all yellow outfit, Irving went for more subdued with an olive green shirt and pants, allowing the coat to take center stage.
Because the coat is from 2018, it is no longer available! Shop other pieces by Walter von Beirendock here.

When Supreme and Burberry announced a capsule collection together, it was definitely a throwback moment! Every fashion girl’s collab of choice right now is Jimmy Choo x Mugler! This designer mashup brought all the things we’ve always loved about Thierry Mugler, like his signature sheer paneling against dramatic black lines, to the Jimmy Choo footwear game! Not to mention that the addition of neon green to Mugler’s palette was not only unexpected and rather refreshing.
Kanye West, Balenciaga’s Denma and Gap came together in the launch of ‘Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga’ just at the end of February. The news was announced when Kanye took to his Instagram to leak images of pieces from the capsule. Gender neutral wardrobe basics with a looser silhouette, such as hoodies, t-shirts, jeans, a denim jacket and more create the bulk of the collection. Although not yet sold out, the collection is only available for pre-order at the time of writing this article!

Heavy metal hardware bags are set to be huge for SS22, so here’s a deep dive into the trend, the styles to watch and how to wear them.
There’s one trend that made the ultimate style statement at the Spring/Summer 2022 shows — and that was heavy metal hardware bags. From single chunky chains to countless standout studs, if your next handbag doesn’t feature sublime gold and silver detailing then — quite frankly — we don’t want to know.
Not sure whether you’re a fan of these bold women’s bags that make the fashion crowd stop and stare? Spoiler alert: by the end of this article, we might just change your mind.
The History of the Hardware
First things first, studs and chains aren’t a new concept in the fashion world. These sharp, unapologetic details have been around since the sixties when punk rock was rife and it became cool to dress like you listened to The Sex Pistols and Ramones (even if you didn’t).
Naturally, throughout the years, metal materials dipped in and out of the mainstream. However, there’s one accessory that just can’t seem to let go of punk-inspired elements — and that’s the humble handbag.
The Punk Comeback for SS22
As women continue stepping into their power and rediscovering the joy of getting dressed, their fashion is only becoming fiercer in 2022. All conventional societal stereotypes are being scrapped to make way for fun clothing and accessories that empower the wearer to be their most authentic self.
We’re being taught that it’s okay to express our personality and play around with our personal style, whatever that is.
Case in point: if you want to wear a studded or chained handbag to embrace punk style as part of your everyday wardrobe then why not? This goes hand-in-hand with other punk pieces that dominated the SS22 catwalks.
For instance, we saw the classic motorcycle jacket and the leather mini skirt on more than one occasion. Not to mention, noughties-influenced cargo trousers reigned supreme complete with waist and pocket chains.
Unsurprisingly, these fearless outfits have to be finished off with finesse — and a heavy metal hardware bag is the natural way forward.
The Trendsetting Designs Leading the Way
The truth is, there have always been several types of bag closures that use metal as a main material, including zippers, magnetic snaps, buckles, twist locks and kiss-lock clasps. But now metal itself has developed into a design feature.
Valentino Garavani bags for example, may come in a range of colorways and silhouettes for SS22 but one thing remains the same: the stunning all-oversignature studded leather. Likewise, Gucci and Bottega Veneta showcased large-loop chain straps on the SS22 catwalks with luscious, slouchy-leather shapes.
Whichever you prefer, just make sure you stick to gold and silver hues for your metal hardware for a lucid, luxe finish.
How to Style Heavy Metal Hardware Bags
The good news is, it doesn’t take much effort to uncover an ideal outfit for your heavy metal hardware bag. Allow your arm candy to take center stage by teaming it with plain neutrals, whether this is a multi-tonal beige outfit or head-to-toe black ensemble.
For color-blocking at its finest, combine the hue of your bag with a complementary hue from the color wheel, such as orange and blue.
Although this is the perfect accessory to elevate even the most casual pieces in your wardrobe, you could accentuate it further with a coordinating heavy metal shoe. You could even match the gold or silver with your jewelry to pull the look together and instantly take it from prim to party.
How to Care for Your Hardware
Lastly, make heavy metal hardware purses for women last longer by looking after them to the best of your ability. In fact, it’s important to clean yours regularly to minimize the effects of any wear and tear.
Use a soft cloth withjewelry cleaner on the gold or silver to enhance its shine so that it appears fresh for seasons to come.
Designer handbags with heavy metal hardware can add a stamp of attitude to any SS22 accessories collection. Use them to dress up your outfit for smart-casual or special occasions and you’re sure to attract compliments wherever you go.
