I write, “Last Night’s Oscars were one for the books! After years of low ratings, Will Packer and Shayla Cowan produced a show that was full of diversity and history making moments, from performances to slaps! #Beyonce opened the show with her Oscar Nominated song “Be Alive,” an original song from the King Richard soundtrack. The lyrics go, “It’s so Good to be Alive. Got all my family by my side. Couldn’t wipe this black off if I tried. That’s why I lift my head with pride.” It was a night to feel tremendous pride, particularly for the movie King Richard. Will Smith, who plays the no nonsense, hard nosed father to tennis phenoms Venus and Serena Williams in the film, brought home an Oscar for his portrayal. But while the world rejoiced with his historic win, his triumph was unfortunately overshadowed by the slap heard around the world—Smith smacked and verbally assaulted comedian Chris Rock for joking about wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s alopecia. While Will was apologetic later, and said he was defending his family (as he should), nothing can justify physical violence, no matter how tasteless the joke.”

Kim Kardashian in Balenciaga
Kim Kardashian was draped in a neon blue Balenciaga gown that sculpted her body. The gloved dress also featured an extended train. Kim wore Lorraine Schwartz diamonds, with hair slicked back by Chris Appleton and makeup by Ariel.
Janelle Monae in Christian Siriano
Styled by Alexandra Mandelkorn, Janelle turned up to the afterparty in a cut-out Christian Siriano number! With Jimmy Choo heeled sandals and henna decorated hands, the look was both creative and beautiful. Her hair, by Nikki Nelms, and makeup, done by Keith Moore, complimented the look perfectly.

Jada Pinkett Smith in Jean Paul Gaultier with Will Smith in Dolce and Gabbana
It was a big night for the Smiths, so you know they had to show up in style. Jada, Styled by Georgia Medley, wore a jaw-dropping Jean Paul Gautier SS22 Couture Gown by Glenn Martens. The ruffled, forest-green number was paired with matching Jimmy Choo stilettos and Glenn Spiro Jewels. Her hubby wore a classic Dolce and Gabbana suit finished with Cartier bling, styled by Fawn.
Zendaya in Valentino
Styled by Law Roach, Zendaya showed up in custom Valentino looking absolutely breathtaking and effortless in a cropped chemise and silver training skirt. Hairstylist Antoinette finished off the ensemble with a gracious updo, revealing a Bulgari piece on her neck that matched with the bracelets.
Tiffany Haddish in Dolce and Gabbana
Tiffany Haddish looked striking in a custom Dolce and Gabanna design that showed off her curves! Styled by Wayman Deon and Micah McDonald, the duo put her in Pomellato jewelry that added to the glimmer of the strapless gown. Her hair was laid by Ray Christopher with Mali Magic on the makeup.

The Queen B was dressed by Valentino in a custom cape dress, gloves and handbag styled by Marni Senofonte! We all love Beyonce in Yellow, and that seemed to be the theme between both her performance and her red carpet attire.

Chloe Bailey appeared wearing a beautiful custom LVDF gown that turned heads! William Ylvisaker styled the look with Laurel Dewitt earrings. An elaborate undo was created by hair artist Fesa Nu and makeup was applied by David Velasquez.
Venus Williams in Elie Saab
Custom was the name of the game this year at the Oscars! Venus Williams made her grande entrance also wearing a custom Eli Saab dress that fit like a glove- to die for! Styled by Law Roach, the look was complete with Tiffany and Co. accessories. Venus’ makeup was applied by Karina Milan and her hair was styled by Lacy Redway.
Tracee Ellis Ross in Carolina Herrera
Looking red hot, Tracee Ellis Ross wore a strapless fit and flare Carolina Herrera dress and Louboutin pumps engineered by her loyal stylist Karla Welch! On her neck, she wore gems by NIWAKA Jewelry. Her makeup was applied by Molly Greenwald and hair carefully styled by Marcia Hamilton.
Megan Thee Stallion in Gaurav Gupta
Our girl Meg Thee Stallion never looked better! She posed on the carpet wearing a custom Gaurav Gupta crystal-encrusted, strapless gown with train. The look, complete with Stuart Weitzman heels and jewelry by Lorraine Schwartz, was styled by Eric Archibald.
Serena Williams in Gucci
Serena Williams, styled by Jason Bolden, wore Gucci to this year’s Oscar Awards. The pink v-neck gown boasted pleats, a high slit, lace detailing and lace gloves. On her ears she wore earring by her own label, Serena Williams Jewelry. Hair was done by Alexander Armand and makeup by Frazana Zaman.

Venus Williams have a grand slam look for the 94th annual Academy awards! The tennis legend, alongside her sister Serena Williams, started the Oscars on the right foot, as they introduced Beyoncé, who performed her Oscar nominated song “Be Alive.”
Williams blessed the red carpet with a white gown by Elie Saab, which boasted an exposed neckline, detailed with a metal lining.
With a 60’s inspired hairdo, by Lacy Redway, and Law Roach at the helm, this look was elegance personified!
